Super detailed explanation, we chose the doll house room. Some individuals think it might be creepy and scary but I grew up collecting porcelain dolls so more vintage Victorian feel for me. The clues consisted a handheld table and no penalty to use them. We had a slow start and only used the clues 3 times and completed 18 min ahead of time. The last clue really tested our numbers skills so glad we could use our cell phones ! Had 1 handheld buttery and 2 black lights so I suggest you take advantage of this and were able to complete clues ahead of order. 13 haunted clues to escape the dollhouse. I think we did the bomb destruction room, I don't recall the name of the room. I'm not one to like escape rooms because it's too board. I accompanied my friend and we all worked out the task together. It was rough at start but then it started trickling down and we enjoyed the thrill of the next thing clicking. I can't say I could justify the price either is why I also don't do these experiences. I think the rooms can be more renovated and put together. THE SMELL--- the only way we were even able to stay was because we drenched ourselves in perfume I had in my purse. If we hadn't bought the tickets online via Groupon we would've seriously just walked out. The place should be closed until the string sewer smell can be remedied, it must be a health hazard. The room itself was very low level, no interesting puzzles really, took longer to drive there than it did to complete the stated "medium difficulty" storyline. Smells bad when you walk in. Problems with mold or something I don't know. You will know what I am talking about as soon as you open the door. There are odor eliminators, fans, and dehumidifiers everywhere. Those poor attempts to cover up the smell did NOT work. The room felt like two 15 years olds did it for a school project that they didn't care too much about. Zero immersion and puzzles were lackluster. We were looking for a fun weekend activity up north & found a Groupon for Baffled Escape Rooms. I signed up a group of 4 of us (me, my husband & his parents) online for The Trap. We all enjoyed the experience, my husband & I've done several escape rooms, his parents hadn't done one before. The premise of our room was a Madman was holding us hostage & we needed to solve the hidden clues to help us escape. Game play for these rooms is pretty simple. Look for clues, figure out what they mean to find additional clues, so on. Compared to other rooms we've done, this was about equal or a little bit more challenging. We did escape within the allotted time, but had to get assistance a couple of times as the clues weren't super obvious. I'm a fan of doing rooms with several others, it seems to go better than just a couple people looking for clues. This was no exception. Initially, I thought it was going to be a bit overwhelming since there were 8 of us total but it wasn't. I'd recommend this room to others .. get the Groupon for a discount! read more

Our only complaint was that we were put in a room with another party, which makes it a little more difficult (you know, the dynamic of problem solving with friends is different than with strangers). We have been to several escape rooms and they all tend to be about the same. You get locked in a room and have to solve a series of puzzles in order to escape. This one was no different. We did the Nuclear Meltdown and there was only 1 other couple with us. Not sure if we were just tired or the fact that there were only four of us but this room was a lot more challenging than others we have been to. This is a good thing and it really kept us on our toes right up to the very end. We really enjoyed it and will definitely come again to try one of the other rooms! read more

I came about this upon Groupon (Great deal) This is my third Escape room experience and compared to the other two, I would say this is my second fave. I brought my family and for most of them it was their first time. The Davinci room was the only one available so we opted for that. Upon arrival, there was another large group waiting. Escape rooms have become popular over the past year and I was glad there is one close by to me. We were explained the rules and given a short summary about the scenario. We were to find Davincis holy grail. There were 6 total and I was glad no one else joined our group because it is maxed at 8 per room. It turned out to be a good family night. It involved critical thinking and some math. To me, some of the clues were complicated to find the right answer because the answers kept changing. I won't go into too much detail. Pretty much I feel you HAVE to at-least ask for 1 clue to escape. As for clues, you can ask for unlimited amounts of clues- it doesn't penalize you. Everyone must agree and you can have clues to help you within your 1 hour time limit. We ended up using 3 clues total but I think we could've passed with 2 clues and maybe 5 mins more of the game. We did not escape. Wahhh I am curious to try the other rooms they have. One group came out as we did from another room and they did not escape as well. I am challenged to come back and try! One downside I had was that I checked into Yelp and so did two of my other family members. The Yelp check in stated a free led necklace. The kids were excited about that and the guy behind the counter said to wait until we are done with our room. When we finished our game, we had asked him for the necklace except he didn't have them ready. He looked all through-out the drawers and even went to check in 'storage' but only came out with one. It was pretty disappointing. It can be one of two things: they are unorganized and could care less about Yelpers reviews or they just simply ran out because of the high Yelp check-Ins. I'm going to just say they ran out because of high demand but I'll be looking forward to it the next time I come! Esp. If I bring the kids again. 3 1/2 stars. read more

First time to an escape room environment, of course my brother picked a SAW theme. There was six of us and we had a fast pace fun time. We had to wait in the common room first and then they were ready for us they let us to the back and our room. We had to go through four different types of rooms and then led back to the original door where we came in from. There was a lot of clues and a lot of help but I kept being scared that somebody would come in and sneak behind and scare me to death. That never happened is just all on my head. But they do have an exit door if you were truly freaked out and needing to leave. We did escape with some minutes on the clock so it was very fun. read more

It was my first escape room challenge, but some friends joined in with previous experience. We had a blast... We needed some helpful hints to get through. Several different thought processes were needed to make the escape and enough to ensure everyone was able to play a part in our group success. We were able to make it with 10 minutes to spare. It was okay, we've done a lot of escape rooms around the valley and Vegas and this one was definitely not one of my favorites. It was kinda run down as far as paint and lighting, building not super well maintained. The game was fun but too many "play on words" puzzles - also if you don't pick the right answer at the end you fail there's no figuring it out after you make the choice. Game master was slow to answer clues but I feel if they sharpen their game we'd go back they were pretty nice and it has potential. read more

The new room was a challenge. I liked the new Ipad clues. I allows you to choose the level of help that you want. Our group of four purchased our experience via Groupon, which saved us almost 50% off the ticket price. For the discounted price, I recommend the experience. Personally, I would not pay full price for the experience. When we went online to book the game, we chose the Nuclear Meltdown, simply because it was the only one that did not have any spots filled. We took a chance hoping that we would get a private experience without paying the additional fee. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Daniel, who was at the front desk and checked us in. We then sat for about 10 minutes while the group before us finished up their game. They have couches for your party to hang out on, so you're not standing around disheveled. Daniel let us know that in less than fives minutes he'd start to prep us for our game and pointed out the bathrooms for us. Turns out, we were the only ones signed up for the time slot! When we entered the room, Daniel gave us a comprehensive overview of the rules and pertinent information needed to have a successful run of the game. He pointed out objects that look enticing but actually have no impact in the game; to touch them might actually damage them. We appreciated this because we felt like he wasn't giving us clues, but also ensured we respected the room's property. In the room, he has a camera to watch us. There is also an intercom where we can ask for help when needed. In other escape room businesses, there is usually a fifteen minute period at the beginning where the employee does not give us clues, but Daniel said he'd be of help whenever we needed him. The room in and of itself is spacious with numerous clues and red herrings. It had a healthy balance of both; just enough to easily sidetrack a group. Everything in the room worked just as it should. There was one instance when a clue didn't work, and just as we were about to move on and try something else, Daniel hopped on the intercom to tell us to try again because it should have worked. We appreciated his attentiveness as we have been in another escape room in which we called out for help for over ten minutes and the employee was not watching or listening for us. He made sure we didn't lose any time because of a faulty clue. We finished the room with 2 minutes to spare and only asked for 3-4 clues. Daniel came in afterward to take pictures and chat with us about the game. He gave us great commentary and was encouraging about our finish time. When we inquired about the other escape rooms, he was honest, saying Nuclear Meltdown was the hardest of the three rooms and that it would only be worth it if we came with less people. Overall, it was a great experience- namely because of Daniel. He made us laugh and prepared us well for the experience. I recommend this escape room for those new to the experience overall. Seasoned escapees might find this game rather easy, but even then, we had a wonderful time. FYI: Daniel let us know that if we did want to come back and have another private experience without paying the additional fee, weekday nights are our best bet. Definitely check out their Groupon packages to get an amazing deal. Their online booking system made it clear how to utilize the coupon code. Everything was simple and clear! read more

My friends and I went to this escape room, and we were very disappointed. We had done escape rooms before and they were very well furnished and designed to immerse you in the world. We did "The Trap" at Baffled Escape Rooms, and we were in a room with cheap Halloween decorations. Not to say that this place was absolute garbage, but there are so many other escape rooms that are way better and the same price. Trust me, it's worth the extra drive. The employees also could not care less and seemed extremely uninterested. We also got unlimited hints, which is unusual, but it's because many of the puzzles just did not make sense and couldn't be done without clues. Escape rooms in general are SUPER fun, and I love them, but this place was disappointing. I would 10/10 recommend doing escape rooms, just not here. read more

I'm glad I found some escape rooms on the west valley! This room was about a 15 min drive for me. I got a great deal off of Groupon, 6 people about $70! We got signed in and only sat down for about 5 mins and got taken back to our room a few mins early which was nice. I got the Davinci code room and wow it was definitely a stressful one but fun! They explain the rules and then have you watch a video explaining the story. Then the count down begins, you get 1 hour to escape! If you never been to an escape room you must go it's fun, stressful, and an anxiety filled time with friends and family! You'll love it read more

Showed up and it was late at night last room I had booked for me and my friends that came out of town, the guy working said that the room had been booked for over a week for a private party there was nothing he could do. Gave me a phone number to call no one answered left a voicemail and never got a response. They had my phone number on the reservation they could of called me and told me that before I drove across town to just turn back around. If you're considering this place maybe consider calling them a couple times to make sure your reservation is all good otherwise you will be wasting your time. Keith, I was not there last night you're confusing Me with someone else it happened months ago I sent emails left voicemails and even called the shop again to see if we could get it resolved and nothing sad that I had to post on here in order to get a response. Ive called the phone number listed on here (yelp site) for baffled and when answering it doesnt give company name just a persons name. I left my message anyway, no call back. I also called the 1800 number for the peoria location several times nobody answers (and i call when they are suppose to be open) and ive left repeated messages nobody calls back. I tried emailing as well. Again no response. This company is very unprofessional not to answer calls or return them and after reading the reviews im glad i decided not to go. Person that helped us seemed as if he couldn't be bothered.. the ladies in our group asked to use the bathroom and were told they should have went before we came! Reluctantly we were directed to the bathroom and told there were no paper towels to dry our hands because it is an employee bathroom. That's dumb and gross. The actual experience was ok.. we asked for a fee clues and the employee seemed very irritated. I did not buy a Groupon and paid over $240 for 8 of us.
