Booked an escape room on a Sunday and took my son and his girlfriend for her very first escape room experience. The check in process was easy and we didn't have to wait long to go to our room. The escape room was pirate themed and very well thought out with challenging puzzles and high tech gadgets. We beat the room with 11 minutes to spare. Took my nieces to do the Stranger Things room which was amazing. Had to take some more family members to try another one, we did Unhaunt the Mansion and it was clever and cool and so much fun! So much so that we came back later to do the Toy Story room on the same day. Pretty hard honestly but very creative and a really good time, we loved every minute of it! We've done a lot of escape rooms over the years but this is one of the top spots for escape rooms in my opinion. Can't wait to try more rooms!! read more

We booked an escape room thru Axescape for a family birthday celebration. Their website is easy to use and very easy to book. When getting to the venue, staff was very friendly and helpful. They fully explained all the rules for the room. We did the Unhaunt the Mansion escape room- it was fun. There are a lot of different puzzles to put together. Great escape rooms! We have done many escape rooms throughout the valley, and these are easily some of the best ones we've done. The new pirate room is amazing. The clues are compelling and some of the mechanisms used are things we have never encountered before. The rooms are extremely well put together. Our family of four completed the pirate room, and a group of six of us completed the last of ours room. We cannot wait to try the others! read more

The only complaint I can give Axescape Room is that we have completed all their escape rooms lol and now we have to wait for their upcoming Jurassic Room for which we cannot be more excited. The staff is super friendly and we enjoyed each of their rooms immensely. The rooms are well designed and fun to solve. I have participated in over 70 escape rooms and I can say these rooms were designed with exceptional detail and craft. I highly recommend trying these rooms out. read more

This escape room is a must do for Stranger Things fans!! All the themed props and puzzles were super fun for me, my husband and my 13yo. We were grateful there were no live actors / jump scares. But there are dark, creepy spaces and sound effects. There is also one room that has some strobing lights for those that might have a photosensitivity. We had a reservation for the escape room and the employees were very accommodating when we had changes to our reservation. We decided to do some ax throwing before our escape room, which was quite fun. It was actually more fun than I expected. They also have ice cream and boba drinks. I will be back. I highly recommended you book ahead because they are popular... but you'll see why when you do the room. Fill out the waivers online too it saves time when you arrive. The staff is super nice which that will and can make or break an escape room experience. The team that helped us with the Strange Things room totally got into character and that was 200% the best way to begin. We had three people and that was perfect. So don't think you need a huge group to escape. Pay attention to the video when you begin, trust me everything you hear can and will help you as you move through the game. Bottom line is this place is amazing and the room is spot on I mean you will be transported into a "Strange Thing" if you will. They took their time on every little detail, I was like no wayyyy I love this! It's not super easy but not super hard. You can escape if you try. We were looking for a group activity to play together and thought of an escape room. Lo-and-behold local Axescape Room popped up in my search, and boy are we glad we reserved a room! Russ (the owner) greeted us right away and had us sign standard waivers to enter the room. The rooms were a little small/cramped with 6 players, but the puzzles were great, locks varied, and we had a lot of fun together. Russ gave us good hints when we felt stuck that made us more confident at the right time, and we finished with 8 minutes to spare. read more

Such a fun and immersive escape room experience. We were a group of 2 adults with three smaller kids and there plenty of tasks for the kids to do and lots creative ways to move to the next part of the storyline. Axescape room is truly a hidden gem located in Surprise. I have been to this location twice and each time was a total blast. Our group did the Christmas themed room in January 2024 and the Last of Us themed room in April 2024. You can tell lots of thought is put into each room. The owner is a really nice guy who clearly loves what he does. Each puzzle had different levels of difficulty, but they were so much fun to solve. Being people that LOVE escape rooms...we have completed tons in California but this beats all our SoCal escape rooms by miles. The most intricate, well done, and well themed rooms we've ever done. We came in august to do the haunted mansion and got addicted. Came back in December to see the things are strange escape room with family and it did not disappoint! This family owned business is so good at detail and making you feel safe and comfortable. If you are looking for entertainment in Arizona this is so worth it!
