I would not bother coming here for anything other than the arcade or mini golf. There really isn't many rides so you wait a very long time to actually get on them. We waited over 40 minutes in line for less than 10 minutes on the bumper boats and regardless of this being family friendly, it's also smoker friendly which is ridiculous. Back to the rides, we paid $8.99 for each ride on the bumper boats, simply not worth it. Mini golf was fun. Arcade is cool but super crowded, still worth it every time. read more

Love this place, one of the last good things in the area thats family friendly. Me n my husband love to go here to have a fun date nights (on certain weekdays u get to play all the arcades for 3 hours for like $12). I can only rate the mini putt. There were 4 different courses. We chose 4. But got confused and ended up on course 3 probably on the 3 or 4th hole. We were not paying attention to the colored labels marking the holes. The mats where you place your balls at the beginning of the hole are also color coded to match your course. We did not know that. Oops. The course seemed pretty well taken care off. And there were a lot of people out there for golf so it made it easier to not have to wait for people because there were four courses. We were told courses 3 and 4 were the best but I'm sure they were all great. read more

This is probably my favorite steakhouse in town. The meat is juicy and flavorful. The bathrooms are super clean and the staff is always kind and friendly. The waitress is super beautiful and amazing to talk to. I love this place. The back yard grill is spacious and elegant, I love the interior and exterior design. read more

For $100 the kids got to ride the go carts twice because the single tickets don't cover the water rides or the roller coaster. What a joke. A ticket should cover any ride. 60 + people in line for go-karts. 8 karts running (16 more sitting unused but appear to be functional) while 4 or 5 employees mostly just "hang out". They were doing paper rock scissors to see who would actually do the minimal amount of work of speaking over the megaphone. If that isn't enough, the coaster broke down and PHX Fire had to save people from the stranded coaster. Google it- happened in May '21. Not understaffed but poorly staffed and managed. read more

This is a great place to go to to have some fun, and could be a really cute and fun date also. There is plenty to do here and the rides are enjoyable. The only downsides are that it can get super crowded with long lines and the log ride sometimes has trash in the water. Well amusement rides in the Summer of Arizona is my worst nightmare. Let's be honest. Thank goodness they have an indoor area to play games and chill in the air conditioning. If you have older kids like I do it's great because you don't need to go on every ride with them. I recommend coming in the morning when they first open and it's a bit cooler if you're going to brave it. My kids get a kick out of anything that could make them dizzy and sick so the magic carpet ride and the sky diver are probably their favorites. Ive ridden pretty much every ride and I'd say the log ride and the go karts are more my thing. I made the mistake of riding the Desert Storm roller coaster on our last trip and although I love, love, love roller coasters my knock still hasn't forgiven me. It is a very jerky ride and whips you around quite a bit. Unfortunately after I had the migraine of my life. Never again. I guess I've got that old lady age lol. There is plenty of seating and shaded tables to grab some food at their concessions outside, but be prepared to spend some cash it can get pricey. We brought my nieces and one of my daughters friends and have spent quite a bit on food and drinks. I'd recommend bringing some of your own snacks if you're on a budget. If you like mini golf they have a pretty fun course. I just don't recommend playing against me though because I suck. My kids enjoy that though and I let them think I'm takin it easy on them. Another great thing is they just started an early bird special that runs until June 31st that gets you in at 9am, but on Thursday's only. Be prepared though because depending on the day or month not all rides are open all day. The ride park opens at 6pm today. The parking lot is pretty big and easy to find a spot most of the time. It's next to Metro Center Mall so there is their lot as well. Not the best area, lot is pretty clean, but could be kept up a bit more. read more

What a great place to spend the day with the kids. They offered seasons pass, and a pass from now until labor day. Thought it was a good deal, but we weren't sure how often we would make it to phx for this. Also it will soon get warm, and it would be too hot to do anything outside. For one price, we got unlimited rides all day long. 1 round of mini golf, and $10 arcade games. We were able to leave the premise and come back when we wanted. Give It A Chance. I had never been to Castles and Coasters however, I had an opportunity through work for a private party from 9 am to 1 pm, so I grabbed my nephew and we were off to Castles and Coasters. I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived but I went in with an open mind and thought I would give Castles and Coasters a chance. I am so glad I did. My newphew and I spent a full day at Castles and Coasters and had a great time. The mini-golf courses are very nice. These courses are fun,well maintained, and nicely laid out. In fact, all the rides at Castles and Coasters are well maintained and a lot of fun. The park was not crowded even after the special engagement hours ended, so we were able to go on the rides many times, and we didn't wait very long in line. Castle and Coasters is bigger than it appears from the outside. There are several rides in the back of the park so make sure you venture in that direction. I think the most popular activity was the zip-line and rope bridge attractions out front. The line moves a bit slow but it's worth the wait. Castles and Coasters, has two snack bars however, you could leave ,go to a nearby restaurant and return if you prefer. For a snack bar amusement park the food prices were pretty reasonable. A personal pizza and drink for $7.25 made a decent lunch for each of us. Good rides, reasonable prices, and a helpful and accommodating staff, it doesn't get much better. read more

Ya know...this place has a reputation of being ghetto but honestly, I don't know why. I attended this place during a Fry's appreciation event and I must say, it was tons of fun! The "castle" which houses the arcade looks a little dated but they have a bunch of games upstairs that you can't really find anywhere else. They also have air hockey and tons of games that spew out tickets. As far as rides go, there's the big roller coaster which is a little small but still a lot of fun. They also have a log ride, a kiddie coaster, a tower that drops you about 10 stories, put put golf, a zip line, go carts, bumper cars, bumper boats, a swinging pirate ship, and many other rides for kids. I wish they would tear town metro center mall and expand the park out to incorporate more roller coasters and fun rides. The employees were all super nice too...and very outgoing. read more

Haven't been to Castles and Coasters in years. Attended a work function and had a great time. All you can eat street tacos (beef, chicken and pork). Delicious. Even my picky husband went back for seconds. Endless sodas and lemonade. The rides were great. Nice family entertainment. A huge thank you to Damieon on the race cars. Our car had been sitting in the sun and was impossible to sit in without burning your legs. Damieon had a cup of ice. He cooled down the seats. Left towels on the seats in case they were warm. This is the best theme park in AZ. Been coming here since childhood. It has been remodeled in the past couple months. They added a fun house which was worth the $2 IMO. They updated the paint outside and the golf course isn't falling apart anymore. They have 10-15 pinball machines upstairs and plenty of 80s/90s original arcade games. New games for the youngins too. I don't remember seeing more than one game out of order. Photo booths closed for COVID. Nearly everyone wearing masks, even when isolated from others. It is expensive to get a pass ($35 a person or something) so go early. Don't waste money buying single rides at a time. I sure miss those free golf passes I used to get as a kid. It looked pretty rinky dink from the highway but my daughter and her friend loved this place. After spending a couple hours there on a Saturday night, they wanted to go back when they opened the next day and spend all day there. They didn't play miniature golf or play any games in the arcade, but they liked the Skywire and On the Ropes. She liked the rides because they weren't that intimidating and she usually gets skittish with most amusement park rides. If she's happy, then I'm happy. We were given excellent customer service when we came around 9:28. The courteous cashier asked us to wait a few minutes until after 9:30 so she could give us a discounted rate for the last 90 minutes they were open of $15 (normally a $30 pass). This pass allowed for unlimited rides and one round of miniature golf. There are other passes with progressive prices, ranging from $8-$35 that are dependent on what you want to do from miniature golf, arcade games, and rides. Having 4 miniature golf courses keeps you from having lengthy rounds and adds a little variety. The arcade is two levels with plenty of games that require a loaded card for play. Rides are typical amusement park type but just on a smaller scale. On the Ropes is a cool, active attraction that will challenge the balance and coordination. If busy in the attractions area, there will be some bobbing and weaving as the walkways get tight. And be ready to do some walking from a remote lot if you drove, because there is a parking lot by the entrance but it is not large and fills fast. You can do plenty of people watching if you're not partaking in any activity as my wife and I did. Otherwise, this is a good place to take a date as long as it's not too busy. Totally forgot to write a review of this place............ I went here 2 days in a row a few months back to kill some time before heading downtown to go to a baseball game. First time there, I purchased a game card and loaded it with $20.00. I played mostly claw games and didn't win shit! Rigged! I spent about half my card on claw games and the other half upstairs on pinball. Speaking of upstairs, they have a ton of pinball machines as well as a pretty decent selection of old school arcade games like Pac Man, Galaga, Centipede, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter etc. They have all of their newer games downstairs including Time Crisis and a whole bunch of car/driving games. My first day there, when I was about to leave, I saw a sign on the door. Weekdays, $10.00 all you can play for 3 hours. I came back the next day and went with that. You pay your money at the snack bar/counter and they load your card for unlimited play. It did not include claw games or prize/ticket games, but it was good for any other arcade game. Some of those fancy driving games are like $1.50 a turn, so the $10.00 card more than pays for itself after only a handful of games. I would highly recommend that option if you are in Phoenix and like playing video games. The place was deserted during the week until the kids got out of school and started showing up. If you come around 1pm or so, you can have that 3 hours from 1-4pm pretty much uninterrupted and have most of the arcade to yourself to play whatever games you choose. It's a really great value for 3 hours of entertainment! Overall, I had fun both days I went. The place is a bit older and not in tip top shape, but it was fairly clean and the workers I did interact with, were pretty friendly. Oh yeah...they have rides and mini golf too. They have arcade games, rides, an obstacle course, and miniature golf at this location. Older games (even Asteroids) are located on the second floor of the arcade and newer games are located on the first floor. The miniature golf and rides and other things like that are outside. The arcade games are card-operated. According to the family member that treated us to miniature golf, the price is $4 per person for mini golf if you have an AAA card. The obstacles here include castles, buildings, and plateaus. Most of the weird shots come from indentations in the turf but they were intentional. Some of the tubes for the holes are a little bit out of shape but you can just reach inside and push the balls out. The most annoying obstacle in the course wasn't water hazards or poles in the ground--it was this castle that kept playing a 15-second song on a loop over and over again! We could not wait to get out of earshot of that castle. Or maybe we just didn't play fast enough. Other than that obstacle, it was fun playing mini golf here. I want to return to try the arcade games next time. According to their door sign they had some kind of Monday through Thursday special for $10. read more

Wow, worst experience ever. 1. Went to the bathroom, started taking a poop only to realize no toilet paper. Then I thought I'll sneak out and get some paper towel. Nope, air dryers only. I did the best I could with toilet water only to find the sink was broken. I couldn't even wash my hands nor dry my ass. I got the manager and made sure I shook his hand before telling him my story. He shrugged his shoulders and offered nothing other than an apology. I'm guessing these workers want $15 also just like the fast food places that can't seem to remember to put napkins in the bag. 2. Son wanted grilled cheese sandwich. Nope, out. Then he got cheeseburger and wouldn't eat it because it tasted funny. 3. ATM broken 4. Multiple games broken, no sign, just have to guess what works and what doesn't 5. Pricing combinations of tickets are asinine. 6. What a fun place! Spent the day there yesterday. Wasn't to busy which was nice, so we were able to ride all the coasters, zip line & play some miniature golf! The Dessert Store Roller Coaster was our favorite with a close 2nd the Sky Diver- Free Fall.. The zip line was a BLAST. They also offer ( directly on the other side) an "On The Ropes" obstacle course. Log ride, bummer boats, ram rode-to a go cart race track. Lots to do at this entire park. Arcade games indoors.. Minute golf offers up to 4 courses to choose from. Didn't purchase any food. Bottled Waters $3 each. Drink prices for soda vary by size & many soda machines are located throughout the park as well. Big industrial fans with water mists are "ON" for those extremely hot days too! Staff was pleasant and they seem to work very hard to insure your safety. It would be nice to smile and tell them "Thank YOU". This goes a long way!! Note: No Coolers allowed inside the park. Don't wear flip flops, tennis shoes are required for all rides. Yelp may offer a $5 off (each ticket) special at times for "checking in". There are NO children's prices offered everyone pays the same fee unless they are under a certain height. FYI: I have given them 4 out of 5 stars ; with this being an older park many upgrades and repairs need to be done. Also, a maintenance crew should be cleaning out the golf areas light fixtures, so many Cobb webs could cause a fire! Repairs should be done to some of the golf course pipelines the balls go through as well as the flaps they are suppose to "pop" out of. This was the hang out when I was a teen. I see they have made some great improvements and have invested to keep the place up. I played a round of mini golf with my cousin. It was bloody hot and humid, even at 9pm. Storms were rolling around the valley and it was really uncomfortable outside. We raced through the game, knowing the air conditioning game room awaits. I wish they would do something about the holes on the course. Many were disgusting and you had to reach your hand down into them to fish out your ball. A grate or cup would be in order and an easy fix. I was afraid of pulling y hand out to find a scorpion or something. Once off the course, we went inside for the arcade. Most of the lower level games were BS high dollar games for tickets. They need to have a worker paroling the gaming area. Some shady stuff going on and more lounging in the air conditioning, on games, than actually playing the games. Cops were paroling the park itself, I guess, as just making rounds, but pretty thuggish (still) inside. It made me realize why there were no tables or resting areas. Too much allure for trouble.
