We came here in May on a Sunday to play mini golf. I've heard so many great things about Pop stroke and the media buzz because it's Tiger Woods's innovative creation. In fact, one of the first signs that you'll come across is a quote by Tiger Woods. "Some of my happiest memories are of spending time with my Pops on the golf course having putting contests." Awww! I came with my fam and for the adults it's $30 a person and for kids it's $20 for all day putting. It includes your golf club rental and a ball. You can also have the option of opting out of the cost if you just want to watch and in my case, I was just going help my kiddo and observe. We wanted to have lunch first and the food is actually pretty good! I actually got the burger in a wrap which made it feel healthier yet still savory & delicious! There is also a shaded playground, foosball and ping pong tables. There are 2 mini golf courses to choose from, black (easier and flatter) and red (harder and hillier with obstacles). It's designed like a classic putting course without the cutest obstacles. So for younger kids, they may not find it as engaging unless they are really into putting. It was super busy when we stopped by Friday night around 8pm. We were a party of 3 and it was a first time for all of us. Paying was quick and the employee was friendly. We then grabbed our golf balls and clubs and headed on out. Once outside, we stood in line for the black course. Both the red and black courses had long lines but we opted for the black. We waited about 15 minutes to finally be able to start. It was really busy so we moved slow as there was one big group ahead of us. There was also a big ol line behind us. We played all 18 holes and it took close to 3 hours to complete. We had lots of fun though and the music was lit. The course itself was challenging and fun. This course was really fun to play. My son had his doubts because he saw online there were no little windmills or tunnels to navigate but there are hills, moguls, dips, and "sand traps" to keep you humble. Upon checking in and paying, there is an assortment of putters and color-coded golf balls so you know whose ball is whose. Our party of six (max players in a group) played our way through the black 18-hole course in about an hour. Tiger Woods designed this course with two 18-hole courses, red and black (his Sunday colors) and it's a surprisingly challenging play. The green carpet is dense and plush, not like the Astroturf of many similar courses. The "sand traps" are areas of white carpet that is slightly shaggier than the green. Food and beverages are available on the course with a QR code to scan and order, there is a nice outdoor spot where we sat and ordered lunch. Next to us was a play area with ping-pong and bags, and a fenced toddler play yard. Our lunch was good and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in Scottsdale! read more

Visited PopStroke to celebrate a friend's birthday on a Saturday afternoon/evening. I am going to be honest...I have absolutely no interest in golf. If it weren't for my friend's pick, I likely would have never visited this place. With that being said, I found myself still having a good time! With it being the weekend, it was VERY crowded. When you first walk in, you pay for golf at a counter and then it's pretty much a free for all. For $35, you get all day access. There are two courses and we spent about 3 hours playing. I have no idea how people do this in the summer, but even in Feburary, I found it to be a little warm with very little opportunities for shade. The courses had interesting features and obstacles, but they did all eventually start to look the same. At some points, it felt like groups were on top of each other. Some courses were more challenging than others which then increased wait times. Everyone was respectful, but it was hard not to feel rushed when you've got a big group before you and a small ground after you. I love that you can order drinks while you're out playing. The servers do a great job of finding you wherever you may be! Aside from the golf, there's a restaurant which was very busy. We peeked at their menu and it looked like your usual American fare. Not the most veg friendly with maybe 1-2 options. They also have a play structure, ping pong, cornhole, and foosball. Overall, I see why golf folks like this spot, but I can't imagine that I'll choose to return. I feel that there are other mini golf options that are more cost effective and just as fun if not more (and shaded/indoors!) read more

Spend the afternoon here on Saturday and it was my first time! Went with my husband and 3 year old daughter! It was a really nice mini golf course completely outdoors. It was really hot and they did have misters and fans on for a bit but then turned them off during peak of the day which was a little confusing. But nonetheless very nice clean, and there is an easier cause and harder one both 18 holes each! They have a bar to sit at and eat, a play ground for the kids to play which my daughter loved and an ice cream shop! The food was definitely your basic bar food to be expected! I am not a golfer but I do find putt-putt fun. I came here on a weeknight with my husband and mother-in-law. It wasn't crowded, which was in our favor. There are two courses and a practice area. There's a recreational area off to the side with restrooms, ping-pong, and a kiddie section as well. I visited fir a friend's birthday. We had a large group of 20. We had a wonderful area next to a bar for private parties that overlooked the courses. The food was amazing and plentiful. Everything we had was delicious. The staff was friendly and very attentive. We played the red course. We had to wait about 10 minutes to start due to a line, but it was no big deal. It was extremely busy but we did not feel rushed. Each hole had a QR code where you could order beverages to be delivered to you, which was so convenient. Dined at PopStroke this evening. WOW, what can I say. And LOUDLY!!! Total teenage boy energy. Baseball teams with too few coaches, chaperones or supervision. I imagine it's like this more than it's not. Loud music (ok, Boomer) and lots of screaming galore. Bouncing golf balls going everywhere and young people swinging golf putters at random in the common area nonstop. Boys fighting, slamming ping pong tables with paddles and yelling with outdoor voices, indoors. The part I hated most was PopStroke insists/requires/strongly pushes patrons to order thru their QR code AND insists/requires/strongly pushes customers to provide their mobile number. No can do! Last thing I need is more txt spam. You cannot opt out of providing your mobile number to order food or a drink or an ice cream cone. Restrooms were a mess. But that is typical on a Friday night, right? Not enough restrooms either. Otherwise, a nice selection of draft ales and the food was marvelous.. So we played the black course and then had lunch and went back out and played the red course. The course was a really fun design. Definitely mini golf, but not cheesy buildings or whatnot for obstacles. It looked more like a golf course with fake sand traps and interesting contours. We arrived around 11:30 and there were large fans blowing around the tee box area. As soon as it got warm, they turned on the misters. It was so refreshing. I must say I had a blast at PopStroke. Wasn't expecting to have as much fun as I did. Background: I was in Scottsdale for a guys weekend. My buddy is a complete golf freak and he told me we had to check this place. When he told me about it, I basically thought it just sounded like an adult mini golf with out the windmills. PopStroke is much more than that. Experience: The 2 courses were super fun and challenging. Everything is in pristine condition. You pay one price, and you can play as much as you want all day long. When you pay you can also purchase beverages to take with you. They have water, gatorade, and a good selection of beers on tap. There is a restaurant and a few different bars on property as well. We had a few beers while we were playing. We sat at the bar for a while in between playing the two courses as well. We didn't try the food. APP: You can use the app to keep score, and even order drinks that will be delivered to you while you're out on the course playing. Weather: It was a very warm Arizona day in early June, but there were tons of misters going everywhere. Final Thoughts: PopStroke is an absolute blast. I'd recommend it for anyone and everyone. You do not need to be a big golf person to enjoy it. I even managed yo get the best of my golf obsessed friend in our first game. He plays golf every weekend! Had one last night in Arizona and we spent majority of the day using up that day pass for minature golf after eating food somewhere else . Two 18 hole courses brough laughs, competitiveness, and realizations we arent perfect with golf lol. We arrived at 10:00 and it was already pretty busy, but only a short wait to buy tickets and get started. They only offer day passes and a number of families were taking advantage of that with food and drink breaks in between. For us, after one of the two 18-hole courses, we were done and went to the restaurant for lunch. A few of us tested buying drinks/sodas from a QR code on the course while we played. The response was pretty fast. The restaurant is big, but you do have to go through a hostess to be seated. The wait wasn't long and neither was getting our food once we ordered. You order from a QR code menu at the table and it's immediately charged to the phone number you gave when you bought your day pass. What a great find! The facility was extremely clean, the service was fantastic, and the food was surprisingly excellent. It's rare to find a golf and entertainment venue where the food is actually this good, but everything we ordered was delicious. We visited with our 6 year old and 2 year old, and it was genuinely fun for all ages. One of the best features is the playground located right next to the bar and dining area, allowing parents to relax with a drink or enjoy a meal while still keeping an eye on the kids. Not sure I was even holding the club properly but I had a blast. People were not slow, went at a great pace compared to other mini-golf places. We came here around 1pm on a Wednesday. It was pretty busy. We paid $75 for 2 people. It's an "all day" pass. You can play as much as you would like. We decided to go with the easier course, however there was a bit of a line. We probably waited 3-5 min per hole. We ordered drinks at home 7 and they didn't come until hole 13. I ordered the kick your putt margarita, it was weak and watered down. My husband had some type of blueberry/blackberry drink, also watered down. We also ordered a bottle of water and it wasn't even cold. It was pretty toasty outside 77 degree but on the turf it's hotter. They have fans on some of the holes but there's no shade. We were going to play the other course when we were done but the line was super long and we didn't want to stand around waiting for a long amount of time again. We decided to sit and order an appetizer. We ordered nachos, which also took a long time to come out and they were mostly lettuce and pico de gallo. When you walk in there's a counter to pay at. They give you a ball & you pick a club. $40 per person for all day even if you don't want to play all day. There are 2 18 hole courses to play at. You have to keep your own score either on a score card or on the app for Pop Stroke. You also can order drinks through the app that they'll bring out to you on the course. There are large misters & some trees around but not a lot of shade. Better off going early or at night. It's a fun atmosphere with TVs all around & music going. I personally would have liked for one of the courses to be 21 & over only. Maybe when it opens in Vegas that will be an option. As for food not the best. Service was good & the chicken tenders & chicken sandwich (all fried) were good. Burgers 1 medium & 1 well both were way over cooked. The well done was was so over cooked it was crunchy. Tried eating part but just couldn't do it. We'll done doesn't mean dry rock hard burger. They did offer to remake it & we're very apologetic but I didn't take them up on it. The truffle fries were ok. Not much truffle flavor. But definitely edible lol. This location hasn't been open very long so they might still be working out the kinks in the kitchen. read more

For a date night I'd give this place 4 stars. But with kids, it's not really the best for families and I would give 3 stars. We went with two other families and our younger kids quickly got bored. My son was wondering where the draw bridges and castles were. Shame on us for not doing more research on the place, but the putting greens are more intended for a business lunch than a fun mini golf experience. They have tried to incorporate a family element but it seems like it was an afterthought. The food was decent and reasonably priced. Service was good.
