I'm honestly in love with this place. We stopped in since it was close to our hotel, and now I wish I could be a regular. The staff really knew their beer selection and were super helpful in guiding us to the perfect drinks. The vibe is perfect for a brewery: projectors, board games, and a welcoming atmosphere that's both family- and dog-friendly. Truly the kind of spot you could spend an entire Sunday enjoying. The food truck outside was also a 10/10 and was able to accommodate to our allergy requests no questions asked!

This place is a cool concept, industrial brewery on the inside, but they have a nice patio on the outside. Castle island is a little hidden in an industrial park, but don't let that deter you. The brewery offers several different varieties and even has some non alcoholic options which was nice. The staff let me try a few of the beers before I landed on their pineapple cider. The cider was crisp and the pineapple was strong. The brewery doesn't offer food, but they have a food truck outside that had several options to choose from.

Stopped here on way back from the foxboro area with my fiancé. Got a flight, which was good but the real winner for us was the pizza. 10/10 bar pizza. The pickle pizza is to die for and I have been craving it since. My fiancé loved the Sweet Dreams pizza with the house made hot habanero honey... delicious. The service was good in the brewery and the staff was nice. The brewery is expansive with high ceilings and has a garage feel to it. It also has classic arcade games in another room and the brewery is dog friendly. I would definitely come back for a beer and a pizza.

Beers didn't blow me away, but only had a chance to try a few! Went on a day they were having a craft fair which was awesome. Tons of vendors to browse between. Games inside were super fun. AC felt broken or just not on. Was extremely warm inside (uncomfortable almost).

Came here after almost 2+ years and was so very pleasantly surprised with all the changes. Very much enjoyed the outdoor setup, it was a wonderful night yesterday with some excellent music. My white ale was very enjoyable over some chicken wings and kale salad.

What an awesome place! They use Resy to make online reservations for the outdoor beer garden that now allows dogs! Currently offering only full pours (no flights) and they have a great food menu. Definitely recommend the wings! Can't wait to go back

Nice taproom. Rustic and provincial. Not pretentious or stuffy. Beers were very reasonably priced. Happy to find 2 to 3 types of Pilsners. I'm not an IPA or lager drinker. Food truck was outside in front of the tap room. Tasty wings, 8 per order with celery. We tried the Korean BBQ wings, and the classic roasted. $16 per. Also had an assortment of personal pizzas. Pretty simple menu, that is worth checking out. There is an outside patio area also. Plenty of parking. We will return.

Castle Island has, in the past, been a preferred stop for its casual ambiance and wide variety of interesting brews. During COVID, this is not any different - the taps keep changing while the brewery has adapted quite well. We have visited twice since the weather turned cool, so while we didn't experience their outdoor seating, their indoor space has been revamped with spaced-out tables, plentiful hand sanitizer, and air purifiers on each table. The staff is clearly conscientious about safety measures while still delivering friendly and helpful service. The full food menu is a fun addition, and any item with their house-made chips is the perfect beer pairing. We really appreciate all the work they've done to stay open and safe in 2020, and keep coming up with delicious brews to boot (four different barrel-aged beers released for their 5th anniversary this last weekend? Amazing). Thanks!

The day I went there was a band playing and there was special ticketed event that forced us to leave (no big deal as we had more than enough time). The space is huge, however compartmentalized, and there's plenty of outdoor seating. Because of its warehouse size and no sound proofing when the band was playing it was incredibly loud with tons of reverberation. The mezzanine is adults only which is helpful as it's right next door to an indoor sports facility and there is no shortage of kids here. Pizza was decent, cooked correctly and really hit the spot after a couple of beers. They utilize an "order at the bar and get a text when your food is ready" system. You then go up to the open air kitchen area and get your food. The beers are serviceable by today's standards with the porter being my favorite. The lagers were also pretty good. Like most folks on Yelp I was surprised by the mandatory 20% gratuity (almost $2 per beer). As someone that ordinarily tips 20-25% in a sit down restaurant I'm a little confused as to how in a place where you order at the counter, pick up your own food and bus your own table the 20% is earned? These situations usually get 10% gratuity from me since I'm doing more than 50% of the work.

The weather, the beer, the food and a fun barmaid in a wood paneled pub are all single qualifies that makes me harken back to my past, living in London and then in North Wales in the 1980s. And the other patrons, Americans all, still were like an American version of an English pub crowd. There were young and old, posh business types, sitting next to manual laborers.. The barmaid (whose name was known by most of the regulars there, although I have forgotten it (alas I must be getting old!) is a pistol. Always chatting and joking, while she poured pints, and even Bells scotch, which is a standard blend found in just about every pub in England. The only sense that was missing was the ubiquitous scent of wood (oak) found in almost all of the pubs in Britain. That unmistakable scent you can find in the many old (generally Irish) pubs around Faneuil Hall, btw. When I asked the barmaid (always smiling and laughing) about the fish n chips, she gave a wink and said "ooh, Love. Ya picked the best day for that. The fish is delivered from the dock every Wednesday." I ordered a pint of Smithwicks ale to enjoy at the bar, as she took my order for fish n chips. She leaned forward and whispered to me, somewhat conspiratorially, that it's served with salad, as the owner has not yet found a coleslaw recipe that meets his standards. Very evocative again. I watched, listened and drank my ale deeply, as the barmaid described another barmaid as "so wonderful, the only thing missing is there should be two of her!" We all nodded and laughed. Fun place. The fish n chips arrived hot, very fresh and perfectly crunchy with beer batter. The chips (fries) were hand cut, as you could see the small bits of potato skin at the ends. Served with a very attractive and crunchy salad, and of course malt vinegar, it was a bargain at a lower price than the $20+ charged at many local watering holes. I ordered another pint, and then dug in. It was very fresh and somewhat thick piece cod. The flesh of the fish separates into large fleshy flakes under the crispy beer batter, and the chips had flavor (as opposed to the more common extruded fries usually found here). But it's more than just the food and the bar. The atmosphere at this pub is so very real--sort of the best aspects of some nice neighborhood cozy pubs in Britain. If it's cold outside, you can just shamble in, and rub your hands together and mutter "lovely" as you savor your drink and food. Welcome!

The atmosphere is casual with wooden dining tables on one side, a long high table with multiple high seating running through the center of room and a long bar along the inside wall. There's a pool table in the rear. Tables had nice space between them; we didn't feel crowded in. The menu had all the modern pub favorites plus a list of chef's specials for the week featuring "an ingredient of the week". Thanks
