While they've been selling their beer in local liquor stores for years, Harper Lane Brewery's brick-and-mortar location only opened in the winter of 2024. Set on a side street just outside Middleborough's reviving downtown, the brewery is adjacent to a small bistro with an adjoining dining room. It's a beautiful spot featuring session IPAs, other low-ABV beers, and stronger brewed options.

Excellent location facing Plymouth harbor. Out of town visiting family had dinner with three adults…read moreand two little girls (5 and 8). Found a table indoors (outdoor seating available as well) with ample room for all five of us including dolls, cards, and toys. I ordered a Bloody Mary made with a local alcoholic seltzer which was a great drink but also a significant appetizer with all the fixings. I ordered the "Luca Brazi" sandwich which was excellent and took home half the sandwich for dinner tonight. *Important footnote...I NEVER have leftovers when I order dinner. I ALWAYS eat EVERYTHING!! I highly recommend if you are a tourist (or a local) take the two block walk from visiting The Plymouth Rock and enjoy a great meal and drinks at THE VITAMIN SEA RESTAURANT!!

Funari, Kiley and Sherman frequently got together on weekends to embrace their love of homebrewing. After doing this for a number of years, and building up a local following distributing their home-brews from a blue cooler, they decided to open a brick & mortar brewery and taproom. At this time, DiBona came on board as a partner and assisted with the search for a location. After exausting all options in the seaside town of Hull, the partners acquired a 3,000-sq-ft space in the "craft beer friendly" town of Weymouth. The name "Vitamin Sea" was chosen to reflect Funari's love of surfing and surf culture. The brewery quickly gained a reputation for their juicy New England IPAs, decadent Stouts, and experimental Fruited Sours. A second location opened along the waterfront in Plymouth in May 2024. I recently visited Vitamin Sea's Plymouth location while I was in town for the day. I was scheduled to meet up with some other beer bloggers at a different brewery later. I soon realized that Plymouth has an excellent craft beer scene and decided to head to Vitamin Sea first. The Plymouth facility is a beautiful location along the waterfront. I really liked the nautical/surf design theme too! I grabbed a seat at the bar and began to look over the menu. I heard that the Plymouth location is known for their excellent ciabatta sandwiches, so I ordered the "Parm to Table" (oven-roasted chicken cutlet, house-made marinara, melted mild & aged provolone, Parmesan, whipped lemon ricotta, basil on toasted ciabatta). It was the BEST chicken cutlet sandwich I've ever had in my life! What made it stand apart from other sandwiches? The whipped lemon ricotta! I washed it down with a pour of "Currency Check" (Double New England IPA), followed by "Mexican Blanket" (Imperial Stout). The beer, like the food, was fantastic! I must also point out that the staff were so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful throughout my visit. I highly recommend Vitamin Sea Brewing and look forward to visiting their Weymouth location!

As a go to, you can't go wrong with the Reuben. I had to look under the buttery marble rye to convince myself that there wasn't bacon on it, but dang it's the so smoky and crisp pastrami that will fool you too. Honestly, tonight I ventured off the Reuben for the first time, BUT word was, from the local next to me munching on the Cubano that he calls da' bomb, he told me the cheesesteak is right in line with the rest of the offerings. Verdict: I don't know if the chef is a beer drinker but he plates a beer drinkers meal. First bite of the cheesesteak was a little bready, and I started thinking I should have stuck with the staples. Second bite changed everything. I'm not going into the gooey, orgasmic details, it was just phenomenal. The star of the show was the bread. The same bread that caused me hesitation on the first bite. Incredible. I'm coming back for every sandwich on the menu, and you should too!

The whole place has that genuine hometown vibe that's getting harder to find, plus consistently great live music (Sundays especially). It's on the smaller side, but they somehow pack the place without sacrificing service, which says a lot. When the weather warms up, they open up a large alley next to the pub for live music--and that's where this place really shines. On a crisp fall day? Forget about it... that's exactly where I want to be. Good food, good people, good music--what more do you need? Enjoy the good times ahead.

This spot is quickly becoming one of my favorites in the neighborhood! After moving out of Boston,…read moreI was looking for some local breweries to replace my favorites in the city, and am happy to say Vitamin Sea is helping fill the void. The brewery itself is spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and your typical funky, industrial tap room feel. There's often really good food trucks, pop-up coffee stands, live music, trivia nights--you name it. You can also grab cans to-go, peruse their merch selection, and bring your pup along (at least if you're sitting outside, not sure about the tap room). Barrel House Z is also right nextdoor, so if you want to brewery hop a bit, that's an option too. The beers themself also don't disappoint. My husband and I are definitely hazy IPA people, and have found something we love each time we visit. If you're not into that though, your options are definitely more limited. They do always have at least one seltzer and mocktail on the menu if either of those are more your speed. Both the staff and patrons here are so nice, it definitely has a community feel to it. I'm quickly on my way to becoming a regular, and wouldn't have it any other way!

No matter, I can say for sure it was great! This one was refreshing, summery, citrusy, and while sweet, not overwhelmingly so. Something I would 10/10 get again, and need to get my tail end over here before it rotates out! I also have a light fascination with blue food - it seems like it shouldn't exist, but I digress. As for their other offerings, I feel that they have an okay selection. Some seltzers, stouts, sours, and non-alcoholic options were all available. However, the menu was also IPA heavy, and while I appreciate that I may be in the minority, I am not an IPA fan. Though, perhaps that may change in the future with Vitamin Sea's help. The staff have been nothing but kind and welcoming. While typical of places like this, the ability to try samples doesn't go unnoticed. Finally, the vibe is open, hip, and communal. There are lots of picnic style tables, and card/board game available to borrow. Thus, a terrific brewery to spend a weekend afternoon or evening at. The place is open to families and friend groups, and food trucks are here often. Lots to try and enjoy; especially for IPA lovers. Brewery fans will also appreciate another favorite: Barrel House Z throwing distance away.
