While in the area at lunchtime I decided to stop in to check this place out. The guy working was nice, greeted me and took my order. I got the crab cake sandwich w/ lettuce, tomato & tarter sauce and fries. There are a few tables so if you wanted to hang around you could eat your food there. I sat down and literally in less than 5 minutes my food was packed up and ready to go. Woo! The black to-go box was convenient and also had utensils, ketchup and napkins in the bag for me. I ate it back at work and was happy with the crab cake, lots of meat and pretty good flavor. I'd add more lemon though. Next time I'll ask for a slice of lemon. We came to Casey's crab a couple of days ago and the service we received when we got there was nothing but great. Me and a few friends from Austin and Dallas TX were driving from BWI and decided to stop by here for a quick bite, it turned out we stayed a lot longer. I have many friends who have come through BWI, and I always get them some Casey's. Usually the Crabmeat Cheesesteak Sandwich. They have all become fans of Casey's, most finding reason to come back to this area so they can stop in for another quick bite. Sure, the prices are a bit high, but the food is awesome! Meh, it was alright. My friend got a MD crab soup which tasted fresh made and was pretty good. The flavors were clean and weren't covered up with Old Bay. I got 4 of the dollar fresh-shucker oysters which were nice and plump. The oyster shells were clean and the guy who shucked them was careful not to break the shell so I did not get any grit in them at all. My friend and I split one of the seafood combo platters (choice of 2 seafood options and 2 sides). We decided on the crab balls and fried sea scallops with hush puppies and potato salad for $18.99. The crab balls were decent but the were over-fried. The "sea scallops" were FRIED TO DEATH. I'm about 98% sure they were fried at the same time, and was disappointed that they didn't know to cook the scallops for a shorter period of time than the crab balls. Maybe we will come back to try something else, maybe not. The prices are pretty good for seafood though. read more

Crabcake Cheesesteak!? (basically crabcake instead of steak) Really, this will draw me back again and again. I love the fact that the staff loves the food (that is always a sign of a great place, where the staff is enthusiastic about the food and wants you to have great experience). I also had the Maryland Crab stew, which was quite tasty with an appropriate amount of crab meat. The one side I did get, fries, was quite good. The next time I am in near Ft. Not too impressed with the food that I got here. Portions were super small and they nickel and dime you for everything. I saw price tags on vinegar and take home bags. My crab cake was dry and over cooked and they gave me the smallest side of coleslaw that I've ever seen. I'll go one more time to try the crab cheesesteak and see if that is any better. What an amazing little spot to find while on a road trip! While stuck in traffic on I-95, we decided to get off the exit of happen to come across this hidden gem. This is a blessing at last. The most amazing jumbo crab cake I have ever eaten, the freshest french fries with old Bay seasoning made in house, and a crab dip that was absolutely to die for. The crabs are all re-steams, but the food out of the kitchen is real good and they normally have some good deals on shrimp, some platters etc... The crab soup is real good, shame the crabs are not cooked to order from live to bag. read more

The crab cheesesteak def lives up to the Yelp hype. I got a dozen large male crabs for $99 and it was very heavy and large. They didn't start steaming the crabs until I got there and they don't go overboard with the seasoning. Basically everything was perfect. They sell other goodies like crab dip and deviled eggs. Pretty cool place. Obviously was a gas station at one point turned into a seafood pick up place specializing in Maryland crab. They have a few tables you can sit at so I ordered a plate of crab balls and fried clams which were very fresh and good. The crab balls are like hush puppy shaped crab cakes sort of but they are loaded with crab. The place had a continual crowd of locals of all types coming through buying boxes and bags of crabs and these big brown sheets of paper which I suppose they lay on their tables at home while cracking. I actually did not order a crab because frankly, I am from the midwest and therefore I have no idea how to crack one open much less know how to eat it and I did not want to be the out of town goof be given lessons in front of the locals. This place is small and very informal but the crabs were really good and I would definitely return. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and my order was taken after the cashier answered some of my obnoxious questions with a smile on her face. I didn't have to wait long for a couple dozen steamed crabs which they brought out to my car for me once they were done. I got home and the crabs were AWESOME... very meaty and just delicious. Yes one of the better area places for Carry-out seafood. There are some tables inside and there is a tv. Food tasted pretty good and fresh. Crab cake was nice and was probably 98% meat and not a piece of shell to be found. Oysters were good as well as the scallops, and onion rings. Fast service and pleasant staff. The only complaint that I have is the fried food. I've had the fish and the oysters.
