Cute little coffee shop with plenty of seating and space to work or study. The pastries were decent and their fall menu was delicious. They have strong coffee flavors here as well as quality coffee. The baristas were very helpful and they had quite a bit of staff working so the service was quick. Overall a good experience and a good coffee shop in the area.
Stopped by and grabbed the pumpkin creme latte. It was delicious and well-made. It was packed like always, but the staff did great navigating the orders. Our order came out quickly and the guy who served it was so nice! My latte was delicious and so pretty!
I had a great time here and got one of the best coffee drinks I've had in a long time! A flat white with their dark maple flavoring. The inside seating area is a bit dull like they put a classroom inside a basement, but it's spacious enough and the workers were friendly. Awesome spot to stop to or from the airport.
Stopped by Case Study Coffee. The coffee was good, and the space is super cool with lots of indoor seating. PERFECT for laptop people. The pop tart was divine, like actually so good. My friend got the burrito but it was pretty basic. I loved the little window into the kitchen where you can see the chef at work. They also had a Spotify board that changed with the music, which was fun, and the playlist was solid. Overall just a really good space to hang out with good coffee. Parking could be annoying.
I think about the coffee at Case Study at least twice a week. I tried the vanilla cold brew with cherry cold foam and I think that ruined every cold brew I will ever have again. The flavors were 10/10
I didn't realize how cute this place was! It's pretty spacious. I don't know what it's like during peak hours but when I went in the morning around 8am, there was more than enough room. Tables are big and there's adequate lighting- a great place to study. I got the dark horseman, it was really good. It was pretty sweet. I'd say this is a place worth checking out!
Excellent coffee spot to enjoy a drink, conversation, people watch, and may more!!! Super large sitting and study area that provides a quiet yet buzzy atmosphere. The coffees here an excellent, the pastries super fresh. Customer service is excellent. Grade: A+++
First time at case study- ordered an iced matcha w sf vanilla and almond milk. It was okay, pretty milky with a light matcha flavor, not my favorite. Unfortunately it was pretty busy so there wasn't much seating available but I'd return to try a speciality drink!
I came here for Case Study and Friends night and the turnout was crazy packed. Loved the vibe and how they live-streamed the dj sets on Twitch for everyone to see while they waited in line. I got an espresso martini. They also had IPA's and coffee and matcha selections. Since they are showing a lot of growth in turnout, I suggest they have a little more organization in where to stand once you get in to order. The A/C could have also been on higher as it got super hot with how many people were there. Good variety of music with the djs and fun night for the middle of the week :)
Very cool coffee shop and seems like a great place to lounge and study. It can get busy and then it gets awkward because the walkways get narrow when some seats are occupied. It felt cramped so we just left after we got our drinks. The coffee was nice and the specialties we thought were executed well. Across the board in my group, we were not fans of the matcha guava. Although guava flavor was present, the taste was predominantly milk like many other coffee spots with matcha we come across. Worth a stop for anything else though!

I was out doing errands today and decided to treat myself to a coffee and snack here at Case Study Coffee Lounge, after seeing that this was a top place to drink in Phoenix, according to Yelp Phoenix. This coffee shop is downtown so I was worried about parking, but there is a private parking lot and more parking in the back. I liked how it felt calm and relaxing when entering the café, which is quite a difference from the busy street and downtown activity. There are muted colors, concrete material, and real wood incorporated everywhere throughout the café, from the mid-century modern furniture to the signature wood planking around the bar and throughout the seating area. There are couches and chairs and a bar along the window at the front of the café. There is also extensive seating in the back of the café. There is a large couch at the back end of the cafe, and several long tables and bar tables and chairs lining both walls. Many students and adults were here on their laptops working or meeting. The barista who helped me was very friendly and when I let him know this was my first time in, he was patient with me and explained everything on the menu. When I asked what he preferred, he let me know what he thought was good. Though I see in the description that the house-made rosemary vanilla syrups are very good here, I decided on ordering a seasonal special that will be gone from the menu soon: - Hot Spanish Latte (Sweetened condensed milk, espresso, nutmeg) I used whole milk in my latte. The barista explained this would taste best with the condensed milk sweetness. - Strawberry Toast (Noble sourdough, cream cheese, strawberries, crumbled pistachios, lemon zest, and agave) I don't like my coffee overly sweets, and this coffee was just right for me. It was creamy and slightly sweet from the condensed milk, and there was a dash of nutmeg that was barely evident. This was a nice subtle latte. I loved it. This strawberry toast really blew me away. It seemed like such a simple meal, but the flavors were so delicious and the sweetness contrasting with the quality sourdough bread was so good. I think this toast actually outshined the coffee for me. The presentation of the toast was also phenomenal. I would come back here just for this strawberry toast Notice the generous sprinkling of whole & crumbled pistachios on top! When the drinks and meals are ready, your name is called and you pick up your order at the bar or kitchen door. If you eat in the café, return your dishes to the tub on top of the trash bin. There's a gender neutral restroom for customers. In all, this was definitely a successful Treat Yo'self Tuesday! read more

5 stars all around. Case Study is my favorite new cafe in Phoenix; it lives up to the hype and has a great backstory behind it. Upon entering you can tell the space was aesthetically thought out despite the small footprint (soon to change as they are expanding to offer more seating soon!). Their coffee is incredible. I can appreciate a simple drip coffee or plain latte but specialty lattes and drinks are my jam, and Case Study really delivers on their seasonal offerings. I tried the Brown Sugar Sage latte and it floored me-- the perfect mix of warm herby sage with a touch of sweetness from the brown sugar. My partner ordered a Rosemary Vanilla latte and we both agreed it was so tasty and well-balanced. The baristas are so friendly and kind, fostering a wonderful atmosphere! I haven't tried their house made food or Chacónne pastries they offer, but I'd love to next time. I highly recommend this new cafe! read more

Thank you so much for the kind words! It makes us so happy to know…
Always on the lookout for good coffee spaces and I'm happy to find one after my nail appointments! Very cute space inside. The baristas recommended the brown sugar + sage latte and its really good! I love the balance of the sage. Hope to come back again! read more
Such a good study spot, especially to escape the summer heat! The AC was perfectly cold (huge win), and their playlist had the best chill vibes to stay focused. I ordered the mango matcha, which was super pretty and had a rich, concentrated flavor I actually loved. Staff was really friendly, and I got a ton of work done in peace. Definitely bookmarking this for future productivity days! read more

This place is absolutely amazing. It is a quiet and cozy coffee house with its own personal charm. I got the yuzu drink as well as a badge of their own medium roast coffee. The yuzu drink is absolutely amazing if you like it citrusy. I had a wow moment when I took my first sip. The barista is also very sweet and you can tell she creates the drinks with love. Can't wait to come back and try their coffee assortment! read more

Stopped into this coffee shop after a long flight from the east coast and was so impressed! I had what I believe might have been the best breakfast burrito I've had in my life! With that, I got an oat milk iced latte with a pump of maple. Great coffee!!!! Will be back the next time i'm here read more
Now that I have visited a few times and brought different coffee enthusiast friends, I thought I really ought to write a review! Will is a master of his crafts, both woodworking (the furniture gracing the space of Case Study is STUNNING) and coffee. The staff he has hired are top notch. Enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. They make their espresso drinks to the correct ratios! Caps are 5-6oz, lattes are 8oz. They have seasonal drinks which are always fun and quite delicious. They make their flavored syrups in-house. Basically, they've checked all the boxes of a serious and real coffee house. Favorite drinks so far: Rosemary/vanilla latte, regular cappuccino, mint infused cold brew. They also have food! The ubiquitous avocado toast is done well here and their savory crepe is my favorite. I look forward to trying their sweet crepes someday soon! (Of note: the crepes can take a little longer, so be patient.) Because the space is fairly small, arrive early for seating on the gorgeous furniture! On weekends, this place is packed, so be ready to take your order to go, unless you don't mind chatting and waiting a little bit for a seat. read more

Thank you so much for the kindness!! Reading this really made me…
Case Study has me dreaming of another coffee from them. The service was super friendly and the spot is cute and quiet with pretty limited seating. I was really wanting a pistachio latte so I ordered one of those but also wanted to try their house made syrups so ordered a vanilla caramel latte both with oat milk. The flavors in their lattes are Soo rich with flavor and delicious. Dare I say some of the best I've had in a bit and I drink coffee from a lot of spots lol I will be stopping in for some drinks and willing to drive out if my way to get one! I'll be back soon!! read more
Finally made my way to case study and it did not disappoint! The people working the counter are helpful and super friendly, the service for food was a bit slower but they had an art show going on and a market in the front so I completely understand. I ordered an iced cafe de olla latte which was absolutely excellent. For food I just got a regular everything bagel which was nice and toasty and the strawberry toast which was bursting with flavor. I love the vibe at this space, my only wish is that they had more tables and a section to remote work from because I would love to just sit In that energy on a workday. read more

Ben and Zack are the best! Came in looking for a pour over and Ben recommended their lounge drip coffee. It was a Guatemalan/Brazilian coffee and had a depth of flavor. Super homey chill vibe with the most personable baristas. read more

Love the atmosphere. Such a cute and cozy study space with tables and chairs and a couch if you just want to snuggle up and read a book! Service was very kind - they even have a little to-go station with kids and straws etc. I got the matcha latte and nothing impressed me about it. I couldn't taste the matcha but I did like that it wasn't too sweet. read more

I love the concept and story. Woodworker turned barista. The coffee shop is small, has warm and modern feel and is super creative inside. The owners woodworker history and clever taste is evident throughout. The wooden countertop, chairs, bar, etc are awesome. I ordered an americano. Loved it. Rich, bold flavor. I prefer coffee shops that roast their own beans. read more

Really great lattes in the north Phoenix area . There's a huge workspace in the back and some working areas up front at the shop. Free WiFi and nice customer service . Parking isn't too bad with a small lot and street parking and the coffee spot is right across the street from a target. read more

Thank you so much!! We really appreciate you coming in :)
Quite possibly the best study vibes a coffee shop has ever given me! This spot is perfect to get some work done yourself, meet with a study group or grab a coffee with a friend. There's a mix of couches, small/single tables, and long tables for groups of 6. The breakfast burrito was fantastic, super fresh and crispy, the music is spot on, and the vanilla rosemary latte had great flavors (although I could've gone a little more heavy on the rosemary, but I get not wanting it to be overpowering). Will definitely be back! read more

This is our second time visiting this coffee shop. We ordered a Vanilla Rosemary Latte with Oatmilk, a Latte with Honey, Cinnamon and Oatmilk, a Handpie from Mark Chaconne and an Avocado Toast with an egg. We paid a total of $46.81 with tip. Both lattes were amazing. Our favorite was the Vanilla Rosemary latte. The espresso shot was pulled perfectly and the coffee did not taste acidic or burnt at all. The vanilla and rosemary are well balanced and it doesn't taste overwhelming at all. The pastry was very good. You can never go wrong with Mark Chaconne pastries. The avocado toast was very tasty. The bread was a little chewy as it is not toasted. I personally prefer to toast the bread as the avocado can make it soggy. I would it give a solid 8/10. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The seating area was very clean and organized and we loved the music selection. I would definitely come back to catch up with a friend or to work on homework. read more

Have been waiting for case study to open, happy they finally did! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Space is super cute and clean inside. They offer a simple menu, you can mix and match any variation of their syrups that you want. I opted to try blackberry and vanilla and wow was it delicious. Sometimes one syrup can overpower the other but this combo hit just right. I could taste the sweet blackberry flavor with a subtle hint of vanilla, it was perfect. Definitely give it a try, it was an iced latte with oat milk. We will see you again case study! read more
I noticed this place pop in a search for coffee shops on Yelp and I was intrigued. I stopped by on way to work and really enjoyed what I ordered! I chose a cappuccino and a savory crepe. If you're looking for a quaint little coffee shop off the main road, this place is for you. Parking can be difficult as it shares spaces with other businesses but you can park on the side of the road to the left of the shop if it's full. The service was great and quick. I ordered and my chai was out super quickly. The prices are normal for a coffee shop and I got vanilla bean syrup added which was very yummy. I'm not sure if the chai is a mix or a leaf tea but it was good. read more

Beautiful, sturdy beans the owner roasts himself to achieve a specific side note that lends this coffee a full blend flavor that one rarely finds. Color me impressed and it's been quite a while since I have said that. Toddle all the way into the back room where loads of hidden seating exists. Great vibe. read more
Service was great. The barista answered all of my questions and fulfilled all of my requests. Ambiance is a vibe. I like the decor in the front and the extra room in the back area. I like that everything is homemade. They brew their tea made-to-order. All of their syrups are homemade. I love the creativity and quality of their products. I think I'm not into the fancy flavors because the drinks didn't really do it for me, but if lavender thyme and brown sugar sage sounds up your alley and you can spend $17, go for it!!! Everything is fresh. P.S. their espresso machine was out of order and were waiting for someone to come fix it so all they had at the time was tea and cold brew. Luckily i came for tea and cold brew, but I hope they fix it asap for those who like their espresso. read more

As a student, I have been on the hunt for a coffee shop in Phoenix that has both really great drinks as well as a good study set up. It's been really difficult to find a place that has both, but I think I found it in case study! Ordered an iced latte with their house made pistachio syrup (around $7). Their back study space is awesome. It's huge and spacious and has great tables and seating. There's outlets everywhere and they play their music at a perfect volume. Because I don't have a life and I just study all day, I sat here for seven hours and didn't get tired of it. My search is finally over! read more
Came across this place on Yelp when it started downpouring yesterday and decided to stay in the area while waiting for the rain to stop. I ended up staying for 3 hours studying and listening to the dj play music in the next room. I had the avocado toast with egg, which was soo delicious. It came with heirloom tomatoes, feta cheese, and lots of avocado. For coffee, I first had the lavender latte, which was excellent, and then I had just a regular latte with oat milk with 3 shots of espresso. That was super strong and definitely kept me up the rest of the day. I love the ambiance in this cafe. There's a couch, high top tables in the next room, and bar style seating facing outside. The bathroom is such a vibe, too. I love the aesthetics, and the coffee was delicious and strong. read more
