Cute little coffee shop with plenty of seating and space to work or study. The pastries were decent and their fall menu was delicious. They have strong coffee flavors here as well as quality coffee. The baristas were very helpful and they had quite a bit of staff working so the service was quick. Overall a good experience and a good coffee shop in the area.
Stopped by and grabbed the pumpkin creme latte. It was delicious and well-made. It was packed like always, but the staff did great navigating the orders. Our order came out quickly and the guy who served it was so nice! My latte was delicious and so pretty!
I had a great time here and got one of the best coffee drinks I've had in a long time! A flat white with their dark maple flavoring. The inside seating area is a bit dull like they put a classroom inside a basement, but it's spacious enough and the workers were friendly. Awesome spot to stop to or from the airport.
Stopped by Case Study Coffee. The coffee was good, and the space is super cool with lots of indoor seating. PERFECT for laptop people. The pop tart was divine, like actually so good. My friend got the burrito but it was pretty basic. I loved the little window into the kitchen where you can see the chef at work. They also had a Spotify board that changed with the music, which was fun, and the playlist was solid. Overall just a really good space to hang out with good coffee. Parking could be annoying.
I think about the coffee at Case Study at least twice a week. I tried the vanilla cold brew with cherry cold foam and I think that ruined every cold brew I will ever have again. The flavors were 10/10
I didn't realize how cute this place was! It's pretty spacious. I don't know what it's like during peak hours but when I went in the morning around 8am, there was more than enough room. Tables are big and there's adequate lighting- a great place to study. I got the dark horseman, it was really good. It was pretty sweet. I'd say this is a place worth checking out!
Excellent coffee spot to enjoy a drink, conversation, people watch, and may more!!! Super large sitting and study area that provides a quiet yet buzzy atmosphere. The coffees here an excellent, the pastries super fresh. Customer service is excellent. Grade: A+++
First time at case study- ordered an iced matcha w sf vanilla and almond milk. It was okay, pretty milky with a light matcha flavor, not my favorite. Unfortunately it was pretty busy so there wasn't much seating available but I'd return to try a speciality drink!
I came here for Case Study and Friends night and the turnout was crazy packed. Loved the vibe and how they live-streamed the dj sets on Twitch for everyone to see while they waited in line. I got an espresso martini. They also had IPA's and coffee and matcha selections. Since they are showing a lot of growth in turnout, I suggest they have a little more organization in where to stand once you get in to order. The A/C could have also been on higher as it got super hot with how many people were there. Good variety of music with the djs and fun night for the middle of the week :)
Very cool coffee shop and seems like a great place to lounge and study. It can get busy and then it gets awkward because the walkways get narrow when some seats are occupied. It felt cramped so we just left after we got our drinks. The coffee was nice and the specialties we thought were executed well. Across the board in my group, we were not fans of the matcha guava. Although guava flavor was present, the taste was predominantly milk like many other coffee spots with matcha we come across. Worth a stop for anything else though!

There's a boat-lid of 5-star reviews here, and Case Study is everything they say it is. Some important points of order from my perspective: - If you sit in the front area, there's an excellent view of Piestwa Peak! - details are everything, there's a Spotify display telling you what song is playing. Why is this important? They spin some solid tunes for your listening pleasure. - there's plenty of parking round the side Request(!) please, please, please sell croissants! read more
So glad I finally made it to Case Study! They made Top Places to Drink on Yelp this past year (2024) and between the photos and great reviews, I was looking forward to my visit, while I was in the area. They do have a shared parking lot, thought it was full when I arrived, I was able to easily snag a street parking spot though. Upon entering, it gives the illusion that it's a small intimate shop with a bar area and couch, but the entire space wraps around to offer ample seating, though we were lucky to snag the last table! The space is warm upon entry with wood tones and more industrial in the back, but overall a very cool space. The menu offered classic coffee beverages, along with a few seasonal specials and a specialty/ Case Study originals options. I usually opt for something simple or cold, but with the cooler weather the vanilla rosemary latte was speaking to me - especially since they make their syrups in house! It was delicious. the flavor came out, without being overly sweet or to strong. The foam was perfect and it was topped with beautiful latte art. There is an option for espresso based latte or matcha, I went for espresso this time around. I do wish they had made our beverages in mugs for there, instead of to go or inquired. - UPDATE: They do offer mugs for enjoying on site as well, of course based on availability, so hopefully I am lucky enough to get on on my next visit. Overall it was a great spot, and I'd like to return to try some of their food offerings along with some other beverages! read more

This was my first time at Case Study, but I've heard so many great things about it on social media. The vibes of the store was nice and they had a good-size menu that didn't feel overwhelming. I ordered the blueberry matcha off of their seasonal menu. It had a good balance of flavor between the matcha and blueberry syrup. It wasn't too sweet, which I loved. A very solid matcha that I finished pretty quickly. We also tried the fruit danish which was good - no complaints. My bf got the dark horse, which was super yummy! He also got the pumpkin spice cold brew which was good as well, but he liked the dark horse a lot more. I'd definitely stop by again! read more
Case Study is an underrated coffee shop gem in AZ that definitely deserves more attention and recognition! This spot is a former architect's workspace transformed into a coffee lounge for the community. This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots with street parking around the area as well. Inside, they have an interesting yet spacious layout. Initially when you walk in, there are only about 4-5 spaces for seating but then when you walk towards the back of the shop, there is a whole other area with 6-7 more tables. For their menu, they have a great selection of different seasonal, coffee, tea, and speciality drinks. I opted to try the Brown Sugar Sage Matcha Latte and it had a unique flavor profile and was not too sweet! Overall, I enjoyed lounging around here and checking out the interesting interior decor they have. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. This is definitely a great spot to come get some work done, meet up with a homie, or just grab a nice and unique drink. read more

Stopped into Case Study Coffee in Phoenix and was really impressed! I tried an iced vanilla rosemary latte and an iced oat milk hazelnut latte -- both were delicious. The flavors were balanced, not overly sweet, and really well crafted. Their seasonal menu is creative and fun, with unique options (including some cocktail-inspired coffees) that make the menu stand out. The space itself is cozy and inviting, and there's a large study room in the back that's great for getting work done or finding a quieter spot to sit. Overall, a great coffee shop with thoughtful drinks and a comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely return! read more
Case Study has become one of my favorite spots to not only get a quality latte, but also sit and enjoy it in their cafe. Each visit at Case Study is enjoyable, kind and quick service, delicious breakfast burritos, and some awesome furniture to sit in and enjoy my cup of coffee. read more

Wow! Great new spot. Visiting for the weekend and made it a goal to check out new spots. This is walking distance to where I am staying and I came on around 8am on Monday. Such a great aesthetic and decor, lots of seating, charging outlets. Awesome staff, typical coffee offerings and interesting seasonal specialties, I went with the cafe olla -something and a ham cheese pinwheel! Pretty standard pricing but I'll always happily spend a bit more so support local and have a great experience. @azfitfoodfun read more

I'm sorry Provision and Satellite, Case Study's Mango Matcha has my heart. I've been sleeping on this little coffee shop that is so close to my house but happy I finally went in to try their matcha and breakfast burrito. Apparently, people are saying the breakfast burrito is one of the best in the valley. I thought the burrito was pretty good for your basic egg, potato and bacon burrito. I will say I prefer the seating in provision and Satellite better as Case Study has a more modern decor. read more
I love this place for a good WFH location. There are some seats upfront by a window but then you walk in the back and there's a whole seating area with tons of outlets - much appreciated! Theres two huge community tables that can seat 6 each. There are then five other two tops. Everything is comfy. The music is chill indie vibes, love it. First time I came here, I immediately spilled my entire drink when I sat down. The baristas were very nice and got a mop and cleaned it all up while I scrambled to get on a meeting and made me a new drink! It was the vanilla rosemary latte, so fresh. I came here a second time (and will come more times) for the brown butter sage latte. Btw I ordered these with oat milk and iced. So good. They make their syrups in house and you can tell. I didn't think I would be a fan of these herbal notes but I really do love them, so unique!! read more
Cute spot to grab a fun drink or to do some work in the workspace back area! My drink was super good! Not too much rosemary which I was hesitant about but it was very well balanced. Also the food was quite good!!! Would stop by if in the area again. read more

Phoenix adventure off to a great start! When we're traveling, we always look for indie coffee houses; places where they do coffee RIGHT. Friends, we found just such a place in Case Study. Small-ish and intimate, the atmosphere is immediately inviting. There's a small lounge off to the side of the counter, and then a larger room in back with plenty of tables and outlets if you're planning on working. Coffee (and other drinks) is ON POINT. My brown sugar-sage (syrup made in-house) was lovely, my beau's Americano was ACE (his word), and others (people who drink a shocking amount of coffee) who got the blueberry-matcha iced lattes said they were terrific. The food was every bit as good. Beau had an everything bagel with cream cheese; the bagel was crispy and chewy and just what you want in a bagel. Young ones got breakfast burritos (that were the size of my head) filled with eggs, potato, cheese, and green chiles. Reports are that they were awesome. I had a house-made apple butter "pop tart" and a house-made ham-and-Swiss croissant. Both were incredible. The pop tart's pastry was buttery and crumbly and tender; it was everything a pastry like that should be. The croissant was salty and savory and buttery and eight thousand layers of heaven. Our morning couldn't have gotten off to a better start. If you're visiting Phoenix (or if you live here and have never been), Case Study is, well, a case study in how to do coffee RIGHT. read more

Such a cute place! The drinks we got here were EXCELLENT--from the seasonal specials, we tried the orange latte and the mango matcha. I was super surprised by how much I loved the orange latte since I didn't think the flavors would pair well together. The mango matcha was refreshing and not overly sweet. This place has a nice aesthetic with lots of plants and wooden furniture. It looked small at first, but there's an entire other room with plenty of quiet space. I can see why people come here to study! Saw a poster that they also have DJs playing on Tuesdays. I'll be back for sure! read more

I have never laughed out loud at a review before today. Thank you :)…
I visited Case Study with my mom on a Sunday in the late morning. There is limited parking around the restaurant but we did find some street parking very close to the entrance. Case Study was not busy when we arrived so we did not have to wait to order. The menu offered a lot of different coffee and tea options which I appreciated. They even had a variety of fun seasonal drinks. I ordered an iced vanilla matcha while my mom ordered a latte with orange flavoring, it even came with a slice of orange on top. They seemed to have a nice variety of food options as well but we did not get any at that time. There is a limited amount of seating in the coffee shop so we chose to take our drinks to go. My matcha was slightly bland but my mom loved her coffee. Looking forward to trying different drinks from Case Study in the future. read more

This is a great local coffee shop to enjoy a drink and hang out! I got an iced latte which I enjoyed and the price was pretty standard. Service was friendly and easy. They had a few pastries in the case that looked good. When you first walk in it seems like it's a really small shop, but around the corner there's a larger room with additional seating. read more

This place is so cute! All of the staff were super friendly and they are dog friendly so our pup could join us. They have a music display on the wall that tells you what song is playing which was a fun touch. I got the Hey Honey Latte which was amazing if you love honey and lavender! We also got a hot macchiato with oat milk which was also great. We will definitely be back again and would love to try their food! read more

Wow, wow, wow. Case Study is definitely one of the best places to drink in Phoenix. The aesthetic is amazing with darker tones meeting wood and an overall modern feel. The space is a little confusing at first as it appears there is hardly anywhere to sit. This is far from the truth because the spot actually has a large area with collaborative tables and individual spaces tucked around the corner. I tried one of the seasonal provisions named the Cafe De Olla Latte. I have nothing but good things to say. The notes of cinnamon and cardamom were perfect. I will be ordering this again if it's still on the seasonal list. I'm sure everything else is great, too! I feel it is hard to be disappointed by Case Study. read more

They have much longer hours now, they also have more space in the back with seating, tables and lounging options. There is a parking lot plus side street parking. They also have events now. Mandy was very nice and took my order. I had the Vanilla Rosemary latte and the French Toast and loved both. Also, the restroom lock is now fixed. read more

I'm obsessed with this palace! I have yet to get a bad cup of coffee from them, they have fun house made syrups, and also make a decent matcha latte! I also love that it is a local business and has a fun backstory. There is plenty of seating that is relatively comfy, so if you are also looking for a spot to settle in to work for a bit or kill some time this is a great option. read more

I looooove this place! I usually go to lgo since it is closer to my home but the friendliness here and the delicious drinks have made me go back now two weeks in a row! It is so pleasant when service and quality is incredible. Also, I am always hesitant of artificial syrups/taste and they have me the chance to taste their home made blueberry syrup! read more
