[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very deceiving how much room this place has.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the back patio, in case it rained and it was covered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff were friendly and the cocktails were refreshing. Everything we ordered was delicious! I will definitely return.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Casa maya has the cutest most welcoming vibe when you come in to have some tacos and share some drinks with friends and family[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] .the caps were delicious and the avocados were so fresh n they have a great lunch menu with food options and also vegan options . [[HIGHLIGHT]]We took a seat on the outdoor patio and there was a life performer and it was a very chill vibe[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . The service was fast and we didn't wait too long .

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This mexican restaurant / bar was pretty cute with their outdoor shaded patio and live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of fans to mitigate the humidity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We only enjoyed drinks, but every food dish that passed by looked and smelled amazing. The guy at the bar beside us had the ceviche app and the lamb dinner and he swore it was the best options on the menu. I was surprised there werent any tacos on the menu (seems like a missed opportunity). I liked my guavarita a lot! But I'd def go back!

Wanted to find a place for lunch with a nice atmosphere and good Mexican food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I stumbled upon this place on my walk touring the town. I heard some music and walked in to a fun and beautiful place with lots of outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I sat at the bar and a young girl greeted me right away and eventually a guy named Christian came and took over. They were very friendly and she recommended I get the pork carnita. My first bite of the pork took me back to only one other place of when I had something similar. It was so delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to have lunch or just hang out and have a cocktail while listening to some live tunes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food quality is outstanding!! It was so good the first evening we came back again. Apps are all good but try the Ceviche! Every entrée was fantastic. The chipotle Maya (chicken) was 5*!. Try spice level 2. Service staff were great, friendly and made perfect recommendations.

Went for lunch and ordered the Apocalypto Breakfast Torta. The baked bread really made this sandwich top notch. The flavors all meshed really well together. Especially loved the guacamole and bacon. They also had a habanero hot sauce that gave it that extra kick I needed as I love spicy food. Sat in their outdoor seating which also had heating lamps. They were supposed to have a live performer but it never happened. Good ambiance and good food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Delicious food, great music and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Attentive service. We loved the happy hour menu - $6 margaritas! Thank you for the vegan options. Soooooo good!

Atmosphere is good. Had some live music during our meal. The food is ok not bad not spectacular. Unfortunately, my meal wasn't very good. They had some spoiled or rotten crab legs that was part of the dish. After eating one leg I complained thinking it was raw. The waiter brought me some new crab legs and said someone else had just said the same thing. So I tried the new ones. I immediately spit it out. The waiter said they were taking them off the menu as they were bad. They reduced the cost of my meal. Appreciate that but I'm surprised they didn't just comp it. Prices are overpriced for the food you get. I don't see me returning there.

We had a nice lunch at Casa Maya. We sat inside upstairs because of the heat and had the place pretty much to ourselves. The old historic house was cozy and felt authentically St. Augustine. For drinks we got a couple sangrias and beers. Wish the beer menu was a little bigger but they did have a few seasonal rotations. The cocktails were good and not too sweet. We got the tacos and the carne asada. All the food was great and came out relatively quick. Initially I was worried that the tacos wouldn't be enough food but you get three stuffed tacos and beans and rice. Was plenty of food even if it was a little overpriced considering the quality. Our server was attentive even though we were his only table upstairs for most of the meal. The only negatives with the experience were the higher prices than what you might expect given the food and location and the auto gratuity. The gratuity was added and buried in the receipt with the part you sign only showing the final price. Nowhere was it mentioned that gratuity would be included and we almost double tipped because it wasn't apparent it was added. That part kind of turned us off what was otherwise a really nice meal. Even still, we will likely return and look forward to sitting out on the balcony when the weather is a little cooler.

One of our favorite things to do in every new city is seek out the local favorites and discover our own go to restaurants. This time, we decided to give St. Augustine Fish Camp a try. Right away, we were impressed. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the waterfront views made for a great dining experience. We ordered the clam chowder, Spicy Seafood Linguini, and Shrimp & Grits. Unfortunately, I'd love to be able to rave about the food, but shortly after we finished eating, I became sick and dealt with an upset stomach for the rest of the night. My fiancé also didn't feel well afterward, although her symptoms were much milder. This was the first and only meal we'd eaten since earlier that afternoon, so we suspect it may have been related to something we ate, though we can't say that with absolute certainty. That said, one bad experience doesn't define a restaurant. The service and atmosphere were both excellent, and it's clear from the many positive reviews that plenty of people have had great meals here. We'll give St. Augustine Fish Camp another chance before we leave town, but next time we'll probably order different menu items. Thanks for reading, we hope our experience is helpful!

I had mentioned two guests had a birthday in my reservation and they put two birthday notecards on the table, this was a lovely touch. The ambiance outside was perfect, wasn't loud at all and lighting was moody. I had a Ruby Fizz Mocktail and it was one of the best mocktails I have ever had. The others drinks were strong and good! The food was incredible. I highly recommend the scallop toast (we ordered it a second time because it was so good!) and bread service for starter. The table really liked the empanadas, I was not a huge fan (but, I am from Miami so my empanada taste buds are different LOL). The Rockefeller Snapper was incredible. Huge piece of yellowtail and just an overall unique dish. The Scallop Cavatelli had to have been one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. It was rich and decadent. I am not sure if they hand roll the pasta in house, but the pasta tasted so fresh. The table had some espresso martinis to end the night and I had a decaf French press coffee (I think he said French press). It was all delicious. Highly highly recommend.

There was no one at hostess stand because system was down and they were having troubles which I felt bad for the hostess who seemed stressed on obviously a busy night. I ordered a sangria but our drinks took a very long time to come out, after our appetizer (crab, an heirloom tomato bruschetta which was yummy and more filling than regular bruschetta!) Overall, the food was really good and waitress was nice, but water was never refilled and everything took a really long time to come out. Would love to try it again on a regular night and hopefully they have the entrees we wanted to try:)

The conch fritters were good but the remoulade sauce went better with with the fried calamari. The corcino special was very good. BAD: We were the only table in the section our waitress had, so we didnt see much of her for additional drinks. Not her fault. Fried calamari were overcooked. The spicy Thai sauce didn't go with the fried spinach and sprinkled parmesan on the calamari,; it should have been paired with the conch fritters. The fried grouper was cooked perfectly, but the vaniila rum sauce didn't go with the fish. Also, there was no wasabi to be found in the dish to offset the vanilla rum sauce. UGLY: no ugly here. The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Antique, rustic, comfortable, and full of enough character that you almost feel like you've stepped 200 years back in time. Then the drinks arrive, and suddenly you realize you've been transported into the future of cocktails. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I ordered because it was spectacular. Whiskey, a little sweetness, mint, and crushed ice. That's about all I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I could have happily consumed about 30 of them, tumbled down the stairs, and been perfectly happy about the whole experience. My wife went with the Mojito, and it was brilliantly constructed. The crushed ice and layered mint made it look almost too good to drink. Almost. The drinks absolutely deserve five stars. Then came the blue crab beignets, and they were spectacular. That's the kind of appetizer that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy enjoying what's happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite live up to the cocktails. The fish dip was very average and lacked much flavor, and the menu itself felt pretty limited. So here's the deal: if you're coming to The Ice Plant for drinks, I would have no problem giving it five stars. The cocktails are that good. This is a highly recommended stop for a drink in St. Augustine. But I have to review the entire experience, and the limited menu and average fish dip bring the overall experience down a notch. Four stars. Come for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. Definitely order the blue crab beignets. And if you happen to find yourself three cocktails deep, admiring the antique decor while contemplating the stairs, maybe just take your time.
