I had been searching for a used car for over a month and had visited about 20 different dealerships to test drive and meet with dealers. Some of them were pretty shady and some were very pushy. I was not set on a certain make/model of car, though I had a few in mind. I was mostly concerned with getting a low milage vehicle with good gas milage at a good price. Eventually, I ran across a great deal on a 2010 Honda Fit Sport at Mac Auto and met with their dealer, Tigran. He was straight forward and honest about any issues he knew regarding the car and agreed to fix a few minor scratches we noticed while test driving. He also let us know they had a 30 day warranty if we noticed anything else the initial weeks owning the car. About a week into owning the car I realized the horn wasn't working, so I took it to Mac Auto and they determined it required a clock-spring replacement. Although it took a little time for the part to come in, they repaired it without any hassle for free. Both times I went in for the car to be repaired, Tigran was nice enough to chauffeur me out around town so I wasn't stuck just waiting at the dealership. I see some of these other reviews and I get the sense that some people don't know what to expect from a used car dealership. Most of these vehicles are bought at auctions. The dealerships do their best to diagnose any problems with them, but things will arise if you are driving these cars on a daily permanent basis that someone who test drives them for problems initially may not notice. The difference between a bad/good dealership is that a good one will repair those types of problems when they come up, and that is certainly what Mac Auto did for us. We did not get the sleazy used car-salesman pitch at any time while we were there, and we were not pressured or bullied into buy anything (none of the, "what can I do to get you to buy this car right now, today" I dealt with at several of the other places I visited earlier that month). After experiencing about 20 other places, I really have to say Mac Auto and Tigran treated us better than any of the other places and its why they got our sale.

Autoverse explained that they did not carry warranties, but they recommended a company called TAPP that Autoverse collected the money for the warranty that was sold to us. Within a few months, we needed to use the warranty. The Infiniti dealership in Atlanta called TAPP only to find out their phone was disconnected, and that they did not exist. In essence, TAPP had disappeared. When we made contact with Autoverse, all we got was excuses. After a round of phillibustering, I contacted the Tennessee Attorney General's office and filed a formal complaint. I was advised to take Autoverse to Civil court and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on Autoverse. When I asked the representative at the Attorney General's office how could they collect the money, issue the warranty packet, and bear no responsibility, her response was, " Autoverse, received some type of compensation or gratuity for recommending and receiving that money for TAPP." This is why she recom- mended I take the action mentioned above. In the process of trying to find TAPP, I contacted many government agencies, and this company TAPP could not be found. Buyer be extremely aware when you consider during business with Autoverse.
