The service and customer service was awful. We waited over 10 minutes (we had 5 people and a toddler) to be seated. It took another 10 minutes to have water brought to the table and the server never asked if we wanted other drinks. The restaurant was not busy at all. I ordered the soup of the day and right before the food was brought out they told me they were out of the soup. I chose the alternative option and the soup was not hot. While sitting we watched an employee rudely ask a couple (who sat themselves after waiting 10 minutes) "who sat you? Well that's why you weren't served" and they got up and left. We should have left after waiting 5 minutes to be seated. Do not recommend. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the food was ok. read more

Spent the week in Winter Park, decided to eat at Carvers for Breakfast on day 3. Service was extremely slow, several workers standing around. Our table was near the kitchen so our 5 and 8 year old were able to hear bad language that was coming from the kitchen between cooks and waitresses... very tacky and not something I want my children hearing. Baker didn't show so they were out of Cinnamon Rolls and other pastries. Food was ok, I would definitely not recommend coming here for Breakfast. read more

I live in WP- have been going to Carver's for years. Went in this morning as typical to grab bagels- a gentleman in the store did not have his mask up. I kindly asked him to pull it up and he said no problem and pulled it up. The lady working at the store told me 'that isn't necessary' - I asked why the store has a sign on the front door stating masks are required, and she told me to 'stop arguing'. The was no arguing, the gentleman had no issues with my request, and the lady working here was completely in the wrong. She is the one that should have requested him to pull his mask up in the first place. I will be sharing my experiences with all of our WP friends and neighbors- I will not be returning. Easily the worst service, ever. Returning from a road trip out west, we decided to stop along the way for lunch. I missed the entrance for the first place I spotted but instead of turning around, I turned into this place. Liking the logo, I thought this place will do. It took 10 minutes for the host to seat us, which was probably the first sign of what was to come since it wasn't very busy. Had we not ordered our food when the waitress checked to see if we wanted drinks, I have no idea how long we would have waited to order. Our food took 45 minutes to arrive. Our server could tell we were visibly annoyed and said our food would be out any minute now but didn't offer an explanation about why it was taking so long or even apologize. Once I food arrived, I had the eggs Benedict which was delicious, hence the two stars. My friend had their chicken Cajun sandwich which didn't have much avocado on it and the bread was stale. We didn't have the opportunity to complain because our server never came back to the table after dropping off our food. I had to track down another employee long after we were done eating just to let them know we were ready for the check. In addition to our MIA server, there was another server stopping by tables, dropping off food while talking on his cell phone for about 20 minutes. I suggest dropping here only if you plan on ordering breakfast and have a few hours to spare. read more

I normally have the classic eggs benedict as standard breakfast / brunch plate. I wouldn't repeat it here. Too much hollandaise sauce that was drowning my English muffins. The eggs were poorly cooked and the ham didn't taste very well. Finally, the potatoes were salty and didn't better the overall experience. The first place we found in Winter Park that did not LOLp at me crazy or say ANYTHING about me having my service dog. We were actually asked to not eat at one place as they have a "strict" no dog policy! ... Now on to the food! I did a scrambler and it was Great! Real eggs, bacon and cheddar. The potatoes are a must. Seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. Not hard, not mushy. My wife got the cinnamon French toast. I'm not a fan of French toast, but it was really good. Just had breakfast here. Had the corned beef skillet while my wife had Peters Porridge. Both were very good. It's off season for a couple weeks yet, so you can get a table right away, but my guess is that patrons have to wait quite a while during ski season. I highly recommend Carvers. read more

I dream of Carvers the 360 days of the year I'm not in Winter Park!!!! In my many years of travel (40+) I've never had as bountiful a breakfast with fresh ingredients, flavorful combos and super service. I look for Ds smilin face every year. Loved the coziness of their old space but the new digs has plenty of sun filled space and more seats. Food is awesome! Over the years we've had just about everything on the menu! Their "benedicts" are delicious, eggs and omlets delicious, Belgian waffles are to die for. Their saving grace are 1/2 sized portions. And never skip their fresh squeezed juices! We look forward to our daily Carvers excursions when ever we are in Winter Park. read more

We were ending our vacation and needed a place for breakfast. We were lucky to find Carvers, set back from the road in a plaza. The staff were great and even though they were out of a couple things, when someone returned from the store, they brought over the strawberries that one of our party had originally asked for. The food was fantastic as well. I had the Highlander and it's a jumble of food on the plate, but it all goes together. The French toast was amazing with the subtle hint of orange. If/when we come back to Winter Park, this will be a regular stop. read more
