If you want quick, keep driving. It took us 40 minutes to get two coffees. Lots of people left empty handed. We didn't leave because we were committed and maybe on the false hope the line would pick up. They screwed up our order because the sharpie went bad and the cashier forgot to tell the barista my order. The people behind were waiting on lunch and were told that on Sundays they only serve breakfast. The group behind us said rightly so that the lunch menu and signs should probably be removed them. They ended up leaving after waiting in line for 30 minutes. Not sure how this place gets any good reviews. The pictures looked awesome. The wait is long and they are cranky and rude. You walk in and are greeted by loads of seating and several bookshelves of books to read while you enjoy a relaxing time here eating or sipping a wonderful espresso or coffee. 6 of us came for brunch after an overnight backpacking trip in RMNP. We were STARVING and Mid Town Cafe saved the day! Everyone loved their food. I'd definitely recommend their Grizzled, Gnarley, Old, Grandby-Cowpoke Burritto with their breakfast potatoes. It was delicious! Other favorites were their croissants and bagel sandwiches. We observed the menu prices being different than actually dining it, because we considered it being the cheapest. The menu prices were as standard as all other places and we weren't necessarily bummed out, just confused at the differential. The front of Mid Town Café have flowers and a gorgeous patio outside! For September, there was lots of blooms and pedals all over the front of the café. I took a few photos here and there and noticed that the inside of the café has books for sale for less than 80.cents each. Books everywhere and wonderful lounge music! The bakery is to die for! We ordered a couple of Chocolate Croissants, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and the pastries were fresh. For lunch, I ordered Classic grilled cheese sandwich on wheat bread! My whole hearted favorite and I ordered The Classic - with cheddar cheese. $7.25. No Tomato or anything else added. My friend ordered the Ham and Swiss - ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and may. He also sampled a broccoli and cheddar soup and I know they have a mystery soup daily. While the place is pretty cool looking the lox benedict is made with disgusting canned salmon and served over pieces of old baguette, I honestly thought I had a buddy in the back that made it as a gag gift or joke, nope! I brought it back up to the counter and asked what was going on and the lady looked me right in the eye and said the fat pale pieces of water logged salmon on the baguette croutons was actually lox smoked salmon, refused to show me the container or package it came in which is pretty telling, typically when people know they have proof they are right in an argument they will present it readily. read more

Came for breakfast with the family. We came in a good time because 10 min after 11 30 am it got super busy. They have outdoor seating. Good size parking lot. In a main strip with other little stores and restaurants. It's a nice walk after breakfast. Your order they make it and call you up when ready. It wasn't expensive either. With had kids that are picky eaters and they enjoyed the food very much. Food was delicious and the shakes we got mango were great as well. It was plastic silverware and plates. Not sure if I like that. The restroom wasn't the finest. It wasn't very clean and old needs a update it's only a one bathroom restroom. No baby changing table. After 6 years of having a second home in Granby, we finally strolled into the Mid-Town Cafe! Wow, many of the locals had recommended it, checked it out on Yelp, and what did I find? THE coziest coffee, breakfast/lunch place I could hope for! Lots of cozy seating, booths, chairs, some town views and some mountain views! Wow, and I was surrounded by bookshelves full of used library books, novels etc. All are for sale for $1 for paperback and $3 for hardback! And the coffee and food were superb! They serve breakfast and lunch, have their own parking lot, and it is a pretty large place! You can bring your group of skiers and hikers, no problem. You order food at the counter and they give you a buzzer to let you know when it's ready. I like this place! What was I waiting for? read more

Great find along the main highway in Granby. We stopped because I was craving a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon rolls were sold out so I settled for a lemon blueberry scone. They heated it up for me and it hit the spot. The environment is very peaceful. There are used books throughout and they sell them cheap, from 25 cents to a few dollars. Clean, reasonably quick, and cute. We came here on a cloudy, snowy morning for breakfast. We ordered the Denver scramble (egg whites) with the toast and a side of bacon, and the stuffed French toast. To drink we ordered coffee and a chai latte. The scramble was flavorful, if not a little oily, and went very well with the crisp toast. The potatoes, which come with savory breakfasts, were rather plain so I drenched them in hot sauce. The bacon strips were crisp. The French toast was brioche with a cream cheese filling, and was accompanied by a berry compote. Usually, this kind of filling is whipped and/or flavored in some way, so it wasn't spectacular but still tasted pretty good overall. Coffee and the chai were both good. The chai was pretty sweet, which is no problem for us. Coffee was warm rather than hot, but was brewed nicely (not burned!), so no complaints here. Three stars because both the food and service were pretty good, but not remarkable. read more

Unfortunately, I didn't really like my chicken burger. It was surprisingly bland, didn't hold together at all, and the bottom half of the bun quickly got soggy and fell apart. The fries were quite good, as was the tomato basil soup. My girlfriend really enjoyed her salmon sandwich. We also got a scone to go, and it was rather disappointing. The only syrup they had was sugar free syrup in a packet, the pancakes themselves were sour and gross, the skillet had mushrooms and the fucking potatoes were BOILED. Who the hell boils potatoes for a skillet. The potatoes were also just cut in half and they were massive and the cheese sauce they used for topping the skillet was clearly old and horrible. With that said, I thought the atmosphere was super cute. The place is setup like a little bookstore/ coffee shop inside but offers a pretty decent breakfast and lunch menu, along with some great desserts. I had a turkey/ brie sandwich on a croissant and swear it was the best sandwich I've ever had...and I've had a lot of sandwiches in my lifetime!
