Slow service for a Friday morning. Two people working the tables. Staff seemed more keen on socializing with the locals at the tables than take your order at the counter. But one must have patience. They moved efficiently and discussed the need for a server tomorrow. But the staff was nice. They wore tie dye shirts with branded logo. This business was quaint and local. They swore like sailers. Friendly. Moose-themed decor. Quiet. Was so quiet you could hear the food sizzling on the grill in the kitchen. Lots of hunters in town wearing camouflage. Lots of men with beards. They didn't blend in with the decor in their fatigues. I didn't see any rifles. Overall a place to eat. Supporting local is the way to go. When in Kremmling give it a go. I was just there Nov. 22nd. Also was there in Sept. on our way to Steamboat. For us, The Moose is a must. I have never had a bad breakfast or lunch there, ever! Not a bad stop between Denver and Steamboat Springs for a brunch. Service is really friendly, but very slow especially for breakfast items. The patio is dog friendly, which was a plus I had ordered this veggie skillet, but got a veggie omelette, which was thin and perfectly cooked with the exception of having olives in it, which I don't eat, but we're easy enough to pick out. Husband has the burrito special and cleared his plate! Their biscuits are homemade and absolutely delicious. My husband had a side of their French toast and finished it all as well. read more

We stopped here because of all the non- Mexican restaurants we passed, it had the most cars. Always a good sign. Good service. Waitress was friendly, but was so busy that she could not be as attentive as less busy waitresses would be. She seemed to be taking care of more than her share of tables. Service we asked to set in the pet friendly patio a we told it was closed. Been here twice in the last couple of weeks. It's a hearty place and a good greasy spoon. It is in the heart of pretty much nowhere in Kremmling. It is a welcomed place when you do the stretch between Steamboat and Silverthorne. I take one star for the spotty service. I've had the same server twice and both times I've had to get up and flag her down for everything. Menus, ordering, refills, and the check. She was standing at the bar each time I got up so I'm not sure what her deal was but, hey, beggars can't be choosers. Overpriced and mediocre. Let's start with the decor. It's like public school cafeteria meets 1 restaurant town. Theres merchandise and the tables are linoleum with stackable chairs. We walk in and theres one waitress and 2 old ladies having a late lunch the place is empty around noon on a Wednesday. Hungry, I order a pulled pork skillet and want my eggs poached. I make my side French toast. The French toast to this places defense is ok. The skillet was shit, my eggs were ok but almost over cooked. I found out the chef didnt know what a poached egg was. The skillet was served like it had been sitting out while the egg situation was being researched. It came barely warm, the shredded bag cheese on top was unmelted. The pork was conservatively used, the majority of the skillet was just green peppers and soggy hashbrowns. I expect more from a $15 breakfast. read more

One of the waitresses mask was barely on her chin during our visit. And when the two waitress were in the bar area they both pulled their masks down while chatting, touched their mouths, scratching a nose etc...Their masks went back on to wait on people, without any hand washing after they had touched their faces. Stopped there for breakfast while passing through. My husband and myself have eaten at a lot of hole in the wall diners that we really liked. We both ordered chicken fried steak and hash browns well done. Literally less than 5 minutes later our order came out. Hash browns were hardly cooked and luke warm, my toast was burnt, but the kicker was my chicken fried steak wasn't cooked all the way and was raw in some parts. I told the waitress and by that time was just turned off and didn't want anything else. She brought the bill and took off the chicken fried steak but made me pay for hash browns and eggs that I hardly touched ‍‍ I'm sure this isn't normal for them but to say I was disappointed is an understatement. read more

Old school diner with amazing food and big portions. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I stopped here during a cross country road trip and loved it. My waitress was friendly, my breakfast didn't take long, it was fresh, and the portions were big. I had the house special - 3 eggs, ham, hash browns, and toast, and thought I may not be getting my money's worth, but was presently surprised.
