I had a really wonderful experience at Big Shooter Coffee! We were passing through from Vail to RMNP, and I wanted to stop along the way for coffee in a small-town shop. I looked up Big Shooter Coffee and it was rated well, so we stopped by. They had a plethora of seasonal lattes, I settled on the Jack-O-Lantern (pumpkin and maple) and it was delicious. I love that they have almond milk, too. My boyfriend and I shared a breakfast burrito with sausage and it was delicious, it also was the perfect size. A great morning snack. This place all the local and western vibes that I love so much and their coffee and pastries match that as well! As much of a coffee head that I am, one of my gripes recently is how expensive a cup of coffee or latte is recently. This place is very friendly on the wallet and not only offers competitive pricing but also unique concoctions. They had multiple drinks with huckleberry and lavender, two of my fave flavors in coffee (don't knock it til you tried it!) and each drink I had was delicious. They have a drive through too if that's easier for you and onesie bathroom if you have to go. They have some religious stuff inside but nothing too in your face and they were opened on Sunday, my pleasure indeed. read more

Such a fun little stop as we drove back to Denver from a day on the slopes. Yelp never dissappoints and shout out to all the Yelpers who have reviewed Big Shooter. We appreciate you! We were looking for coffee for the drive and were pleasantly surprised at the other options, me especially. I'm a huge fan of ice cream, but don't have it often. It was a nice treat - their portions are huge! My partner had a pastry and was also quite happy. The interior is adorable, spacious and has lots of seating options and things to look at. I was passing through town on a road trip and stopped here because of the good reviews. I was very disappointed. The prices were cheap, which is the only good thing I can say about this place. The coffee was like hotel lobby drip coffee you pour yourself, and it sucked. The breakfast burrito was small and bad. The worst part, the bathroom was disgusting, and it had NO SOAP or any way to dry your hands. Which means the employees of this restaurant aren't washing their hands. read more

Saw this little shop while driving to Steamboat Springs. The signs and fun colors drew our attention. On the way back to Denver we stopped in because why not! We were greeted by friendly staff who were eager to help. I ordered an electric fence - which is a milkshake with espresso. I got the coffee flavored ice cream and it was so good! On our way back from Steamboat Springs, Big Shooter is a family favorite for coffee and ice cream. Since it was cold outside we all opted for some hot coffee drinks, all expertly made by the young barista behind the counter. Service was warm, quick and friendly. There is plenty of seating and lots of eclectic and interesting decor to look at. We were still full from breakfast so unfortunately we didn't have anything to eat although the delicious looking pastries and food menu were tempting. Will definitely be back during the warmer months to try the ice cream with flavors like huckleberry calling me back for sure! read more

Great place to stop for coffee or ice cream or a combination of both. I got a mint chip electric fence, which is a milkshake with coffee added. They do all kinds of creative lattes and have neat flavors of ice cream. Service was quick and helpful. Ambiance is comfy, with group tables or soft chairs to hang out in for a while. Worth the short walk from the Tesla Supercharger nearby. Family business, well run. read more

Big Shooter is always fun to stop by en route to Steamboat Springs. They have great coffee and tea options as well as some food and pastry options. The drinks are fun and I had one with espresso The breakfast burrito with bacon is huge and they don't skimp on the bacon. I believe there were two full pieces in. I'll be disappointed the next time I have a burrito without this much bacon. They give you a side of sour cream and hot sauce is available. read more

Squeezed in just before closing and the barista was happy to serve us. We got 5 drinks for less than $20!!! Thought I would finally type a review. This is my FAVORITE ice cream joint!!! Seriously!!! Where can you go that has bomb-diggity Rocky Road or Birthday Cake ice cream? Plus Authentic Chai?!? They even have a Sherpa Chai! Of course they have coffee and espresso! They have pastries too and their breakfast burritos are something to write home about. Talk about big and filling! You can get one with bacon too. I'm not a fan of bacon, but many are. The burrito has eggs, cheese, potatoes and peppers. I can do without the peppers too but it is still delic! I love the land o lakes packets of sour cream too! They are super affordable and the ice cream portions are generous. It's worth the 30+ minutes drive over from Summit County! In fact I plan to do this more often. Rocky Mountain Ice Cream in Silverthorne stopped using Haggen Daz ice cream and is using some subpar brand but still charges a bunch. Ugh! And it's not even that good. Big Shooter Coffee is where it's at! Love the log and wood benches outside too! It's welcoming and authentic for a mountain town. There is seating both outside and inside. There are 7 outside benches and 3 are swinging one's. There are even covered areas for shade. Inside there is a table and at least 6 chairs near the counter. In the next room over (WATCH YOUR STEP!) there is more seating, chairs, tables etc... They do have restrooms too. Parking is good, but I see it get full too. So if the lot is filled, park on the street. Their hours are good too. Open very early at 6:45am EVERY DAY. I'm not a morning person so afternoons are better for me. They close at 4:30pm daily. Wish it was later but that is okay. Seriously, probably the best business in Kremmling and possibly in Grand County. read more

First of all, the negative reviews regarding masks and COVID are BS. The employees are wearing masks and gloves, the establishment feels very clean and safe, and the coffee is phenomenal. I came through on my way to Estes Park and had a double dirty vanilla chai, cappuccino, and latte, and they were all great. Don't get me wrong, this is a cute place. However, don't think as a customer that you have any priority over the owners or staff's personal socialization with others in the coffee shop. Be prepared to wait. This is a common trend I encounter each time I visit. I did reach out to the owner, to no avail. The owner's arrogance about how much business she has, and how feedback does not affect her or her staff, is unfortunate. And that may be true. Apparently, I'm not in the "in" crowd for her to care that my time is also valuable and taking 30 minutes to make 3 drinks, without a line in front of me, is too much for this establishment. I would have had my drinks sooner, but the young staff continued to socialize rather than concentrating on the order. read more

If I could leave a zero I would! I ordered a cone and proceeded to walk into dining room. There are no markings or signs saying there is a step down. I tripped over step twisted my knee and dropped the cone. I cleaned it up and went to counter to get another cone. I was told it was my fault I tripped and they would not replace my cone. We stopped there on a very frosty afternoon on our way to Steamboat Springs. It was such a warm and cozy oasis in the midst of snow and cold! Had a lot of character and charm and smelled like freshly brewed coffee and just baked cookies. Exactly what we needed! Even though they were out of their breakfast burritos, we still got some savory pastries they had and felt pretty happy. If it happens to be that you are literally counting pennies that day, check out their Freshness Challenge basket - you might find something there for 50% off : ) They have a lot of space and some cool memorabilia.
