Our nibbled on cookies. So good!!
Michele M.

Stopped in for dessert on a family trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. We enjoyed the buy 6, get 2 free deal and I'm glad we splurged because every cookie was delicious! We went back the next day to make sure we had enough cookies to get us through our whole trip! The cookies are fresh and the flavors taste very natural, not artificial at all. Our favorite was the raspberry lemon cookie. It was out of this world, but you can't go wrong with any of them! The shop is bright and clean, and the gals who helped us both days we went were so kind. Check it out and enjoy!

Delicious warm cookies! Perfect after a full day of skiing and snowboarding. We had the s'mores and the Oreo and they were absolutely fantastic.

Last week I had the opportunity to travel to Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, CO for a site visit…read morewhere our company plans to host its annual manager retreat. Concluding our tour of the property and rooms, our host treated us to lunch at Heck's Tavern. The architectural design was inspired by the Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood in Oregon. The floor-to-ceiling fireplace in the middle of the room is quite spectacular. The hexagonal shape of the restaurant makes for many panoramic views while dining. The menu features several ranch to table options including their own Wagyu beef. I tried the BBQ Wagyu Ranch Burger which was topped with onion rings, BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese. The burger was awesome; juicy and flavorful! In lieu of fries, I ordered the salad as my side dish. It came with a creamy lemon parmesan dressing that was very pleasing. $22 might be hard to swallow, but since my meal was comped and it was so tasty -- swallowing was not an issue. But honestly, for hyperlocally raised Wagyu beef amdist absolutely stunning views, I would highly recommend it! Note: one doesn't necessarily need to stay at the lodge to visit this restaurant. They are also open for breakfast and dinner. If you are in the Winter Park area, stop on by.

The food, however, is average and overpriced. So dining doesn't add much to the experience and is not a reason to visit on its own. The coffee shop on the other hand is convenient (should be open all day) with a nice variety of options; but again, keenly overpriced. ...Overpriced does not mean the dollars and cents that are charged. It means what is served is not worthy of the price.

I stopped in here for a farewell dinner after spending 10 days soaking up a Colorado summer. I've…read morebeen coming to this area for seven years and somehow had never eaten here. Big mistake. The place was absolutely packed, which told me everything I needed to know. The hostess let us know only patio seating was available, but that worked out fine since it was noticeably quieter than the bustling dining room. I started with a medium margarita, chips, and salsa. That margarita had some attitude, and it paired perfectly with the spicy salsa and salty chips. Let's just say I was feeling optimistic about the rest of the meal. The combination dinners are the way to go if you want to try a little bit of everything. I ordered the shredded beef chimichanga. The flavor was on point, but I wish the shell had a little more crunch. My dining companions ordered an enchilada and tacos with chicken and ground beef. I sampled the chicken and wasn't sold, but the ground beef earned rave reviews. Our server, Mariana, was friendly, attentive, and somehow managed to stay on top of everything despite the dinner rush. The decor has dark, gothic Mexico City vibes that give the restaurant a ton of character. Definitely a Fraser gem. It took me seven years to finally make it here, but next time I won't wait nearly that long.

Had the tres amigos. It was so much food and all super tasteful. The steak is flavored so well it was a treat. Enchilada was awesome and the rellano was good. They served us quick. Just surprisingly great Mex food that I would have never chosen but glad I didn't have a choice. Will go back.
