Ate here on a recent Sunday morning. It was early (8ish) so the horribleness cannot be blamed on big crowds. You order at the front, then wait for your name to be called. OK. I had the veggie scramble (Spinach, Tomato and Swiss) and a latte. The latte was nothing of the sort -- a splash of milk and a big cup of screaming hot espresso. I didn't drink it. Shit tier. Service is nonexistent, food is hit or miss. My frappe ended up being a room temperature coffee (no ice- really?). Items were forgotten from order, making the ticket time 20 minutes into 40. The woman taking my order did not know the menu item names and gave me the incorrect receipt. We like their breakfast burrito and their veggie Benedict. The breakfast burrito has black beans, eggs, onions and sausage, then is smothered with green chile, sour cream, cheese and fresh jalapeños. The veggie Benedict has sautéed spinach, onions and mushrooms with perfectly poached eggs over a grilled baked in house baguette. Why four stars? We've had some problems with service in the past (getting order wrong or taking a long time), but that has been better the last few months. Give this place a try! We were pleasantly surprised by the menu. We thought it would be more of a bakery/bookshop, but the food was really good. From Elk Sausage to a Californian Grilled Cheese... you won't be disappointed. The ambiance is great and the people that work there are so pleasant. Chose this place based on previous reviews. Was disappointed for the following reasons: -Cinnamon roll was not fresh, with chewy pastry & little filling/icing - potatoes were mushy & not at all crispy(served as a side) - sausage in egg scramble was cut into long rectangular strips that you had to cut to eat! I have never seen served like this - very overpriced. My husband and I went here for breakfast yesterday because well, normally, 4 stars means a restaurant is fine for us. I have no idea what boosted this restaurant's ratings so much, but take my advice and don't bother coming here. It's ridiculously overpriced for the bland food, drinks and service you get. We paid $30 for a 12 oz white mocha, 16 oz hot chocolate, blueberry waffle and french toast. No sides or anything. Seriously?? The french toast and waffle lacked flavor for $10 a piece. The best tasting thing was the hot chocolate, but for $5, I'd rather get a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, thanks. We were hungry on our way out of the Rockies park and saw this cafe. We decided to check it out and we were impressed with the variety of food options as well as the ability to serve gluten free options. They have gluten free bread which totally makes going to a cafe so much more pleasant for me and my issues. I got the oriental salmon salad and it was just what I wanted. The salmon was cooked well and the salad was fresh with a tasty side of gluten free toast. My disappointment with this cafe started with the fact that they weren't offering breakfast past 1130, we were hoping for a brunch timed meal. It's ok we still enjoyed our lunch! The employees here were not the best and that's why I give this 3 stars. They were speaking loudly amongst themselves in the kitchen picking on each other and talking about how one or the other were slacking. We could hear it from the dining area. The chat was not professional and made me slightly uncomfortable. Absolutely loved this joint! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had 8 in our group and 2 of us with allergies. They were able to accommodate us with ease. The vegetarian chili was amazing! The kids loved their fancy grilled cheeses and the sweet potato fries were to die for. I ordered a latte with oat milk and enjoyed every sip. I really don't like leaving bad reviews. I'd rather give people the benefit of the doubt - we all have bad days. At this place though, there are clearly systemic issues. This place is more self-serve than McDonalds. You order at the counter then find a table - every one dirty. You clean your table off with napkins and then pick up your latte. Your latte is actually Folger's with steamed milk. You wait for your name to be called, and then wait and wait and wait some more. Almost 30 minutes for a ham & cheese croissant which I then had to completely re-assemble at my table. You then pick up your dirty dishes and dump them. I was almost surprised they didn't hand me a vacuum cleaner on my way out. But then by the looks of the floor, they don't own a vacuum. read more

I love that midtown supports herbivores! Thank you for the tofu scramble and veg lunch options. --Just ask them to use oil instead of butter when ordering.-- In a world of increasingly plant based options, where people are rejecting animal sourced foods, eggs and dairy, due to allergies, health concerns and/or for the environment, it's nice that midtown has something to offer herbies in a small community. Still no vegan options in the bakery items (and yes, sadly, even the bagels still contain dairy) but hopefully one day. We were here late winter or early spring so I'm a bit late with my review. Sorry! I had the Elk bratwurst and my wife had the Italian Chicken sandwich. I REALLY enjoyed the elk and we agreed that both sandwiches were very good. We also had coffee drinks, the white mocha and the dark chocolate mocha. Very good as well. Coffeeshop like interior with both tables and easy chairs. Great service behind the counter. I ate every meal here after I found the place. Only veggie friendly spot in the area, but service was disorganized. We ordered a couple sandwiches and a deluxe veggie chili with grilled peppers/onions/tortillas (minus cheese), etc. first there was a mixup with the buzzers, after another wait we got the food, but my chili had cheese. The manager was clearly annoyed, but they remade it. It took another 10 minutes, and arrived without any of the fixings- not what I'd ordered again. There was some argument about what I'd ordered in now a totally different direction. I'm sure I could have pressed the issue, but with the prospect of another long wait, and my family's food getting colder, I settled for it. I've been here once for breakfast and once for lunch and was very happy with my food both times. Their menu is huge and has many nice options for vegetarian, gluten free etc. Very healthy overall. Their entrees seem to be pretty much all house made with fresh, quality ingredients. The only disappointment so far has been the chicken we got on a salad which just didn't seem to be very good quality. Other than that, this is definitely the best place to go in Granby for a filling meal for an active day! read more

I ordered an egg scramble with Swiss cheese, tomato, spinach and mushrooms-came with wheat toast and potatoes. The scramble and wheat toast was yummy and the potatoes about average. My husband and father-in-law both had the French toast (which I also sampled) that they said were good-they used a cinnamon type bread but it wasn't too sweet. The coffee had good flavor. It does seem that Mid Town is either new or maybe really relaxed, but as New Yorkers--you know, those loud, abrasive, impatient people with the one-finger salute?--we didn't have any problems with our orders or the service. There is no table service, so you'll have to go to the counter like the common people, then wait until the annoying buzzer alerts you that your food is ready, but out of six different dishes (two days, three people), and various coffees (spouse is one of those people), everything was delicious.
