We went to Mid Town Cafe twice while in Grandby this trip. I love the books, decor and good vibes in this place. The food is phenomenal and I can especially recommend the waffles, classic breakfasts and their oatmeal! The service was very quick as well and the food was very well done.

We had breakfast at this spacious cafe. You walk in and are greeted by loads of seating and several bookshelves of books to read while you enjoy a relaxing time here eating or sipping a wonderful espresso or coffee. We had biscuits and gravy as well as a banana almond waffle. The biscuits were so soft and the gravy was delicious. The waffle was light and fluffy with great flavor from the banana and whip cream. I also had the elk bratwurst and it may have been my favorite part-very delicious.

If you want quick, keep driving. It took us 40 minutes to get two coffees. Lots of people left empty handed. We didn't leave because we were committed and maybe on the false hope the line would pick up. They screwed up our order because the sharpie went bad and the cashier forgot to tell the barista my order. The people behind were waiting on lunch and were told that on Sundays they only serve breakfast. The group behind us said rightly so that the lunch menu and signs should probably be removed them. They ended up leaving after waiting in line for 30 minutes. Not sure how this place gets any good reviews. The pictures looked awesome. The wait is long and they are cranky and rude. We were passing through and needed coffee. I wonder if that's how they stay in business, tourists that don't know better.

6 of us came for brunch after an overnight backpacking trip in RMNP. We were STARVING and Mid Town Cafe saved the day! Everyone loved their food. I'd definitely recommend their Grizzled, Gnarley, Old, Grandby-Cowpoke Burritto with their breakfast potatoes. It was delicious! Other favorites were their croissants and bagel sandwiches. It's order at the counter service so we did have a decent (25-35 minute) wait from getting in line to getting our food at 11:30am on a Sunday.

We came here during our first night staying in Granby, pre-looking at places to eat back at our apartment. We observed the menu prices being different than actually dining it, because we considered it being the cheapest. The menu prices were as standard as all other places and we weren't necessarily bummed out, just confused at the differential. The front of Mid Town Café have flowers and a gorgeous patio outside! For September, there was lots of blooms and pedals all over the front of the café. I took a few photos here and there and noticed that the inside of the café has books for sale for less than 80.cents each. Books everywhere and wonderful lounge music! The bakery is to die for! We ordered a couple of Chocolate Croissants, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and the pastries were fresh. For lunch, I ordered Classic grilled cheese sandwich on wheat bread! My whole hearted favorite and I ordered The Classic - with cheddar cheese. $7.25. No Tomato or anything else added. My friend ordered the Ham and Swiss - ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and may. He also sampled a broccoli and cheddar soup and I know they have a mystery soup daily. He was not a fan of the flavor, but I loved it! Overall, a favorite one of mine!

Garden sandwich with turkey-delicious! Great beagle

Wonderful breakfast sandwiches! The croissant and bagel were out of this world delicious. I got the garden sandwich with turkey added on. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast

This is great! We were in town for a quick getaway for a few days and stopped here for breakfast. I loved the Grizzled Gnarly Cowpoke burrito and it was very tasty! With a hazelnut mocha. Would recommend! And a nice quiet environment for a relaxing breakfast.

Came for breakfast with the family. We came in a good time because 10 min after 11 30 am it got super busy. They have outdoor seating. Good size parking lot. In a main strip with other little stores and restaurants. It's a nice walk after breakfast. Your order they make it and call you up when ready. It wasn't expensive either. With had kids that are picky eaters and they enjoyed the food very much. Food was delicious and the shakes we got mango were great as well. It was plastic silverware and plates. Not sure if I like that. The restroom wasn't the finest. It wasn't very clean and old needs a update it's only a one bathroom restroom. No baby changing table. What I do like a lot about the cafe is the vibe is nice and comfortable and books everywhere. Very chill environment. We would try this place again.

Wow! What a terrific place for lunch. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Generous portions. Fresh ingredients. Books for sale, as well. Don't miss it when in Granby, CO!

Menu on the wall, coffee bar and grill area. Book sale going on today! They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Great lunch today passing through Granby! Had the Power Slaw Wrap - it is delish! Slaw, kale, carrots, and other veggies with a light dressing in a tortilla wrap. Some wraps like this have too much dressing - not this one! Also had their veggie chili, yummy! Ice coffee with almond milk (they had soy and oat milk options too). Staff was super friendly. Would recommend for folks passing through.

Slowest breakfast I have ever experienced. We could have gone to the store, bought ingredients and made my own breakfast in less time.

This place is expensive and in the past my hot chocolate had salt in it instead of sugar and their pastries are too doughy and too soft

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful right from the start--especially when my wife was deciding what to order. They even suggested the option of getting a half burrito for half the price, which was a great tip and much appreciated. She went with the Mama's Burrito (with bacon), and I had the Christy Breakfast Burrito. We both had ours smothered in the green chile (pork) sauce--highly recommend. Both were excellent. The chorizo in the Christy was especially well done--full of flavor without being greasy. My wife loved hers, and the half portion ended up being perfect. We also had coconut lattes, which were smooth and really well balanced. Even though you order at the counter, the staff checked in on us several times, which added a nice personal touch. The space is bright and welcoming with lots of natural light. It's in a strip mall, but being on the end gives it a more open feel. The Southwest, slightly kitschy décor fits the vibe well. We noticed a steady stream of regulars and to-go orders, which says a lot. Places don't stay busy--or around this long--without doing things right. If you're anywhere near Granby, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

The experience I had at this establishment was deeply disappointing and honestly unlike anything…read moreI've encountered before. Our group of seven set out to enjoy a meal together, but what we faced instead was a cascade of errors and outright disrespect from the waitstaff and management. To begin with, the server mixed up an order, which admittedly could happen in a group our size--but the nature of our requests made the errors easily avoidable and, just as importantly, simple to correct. Five of us ordered essentially the same thing, differing only in small details like scrambled eggs with or without cheese. When we politely pointed out the issues to the server, we were met with an unprofessional and rude response. At one point, he even went as far as telling some of our party members that they needed to "pay attention." This attitude alone soured the experience, but things only deteriorated further from there. For instance, when one person's eggs--which had been incorrectly prepared with cheese--arrived with no cheese, we kindly requested they be remade. Shockingly, the waiter refused outright, stating he would not redo the order nor remove it from our bill. If that wasn't bad enough, he went on to suggest we would receive poor service like this regardless of where we dined--a claim entirely untrue based on our many other dining experiences elsewhere. Given the escalating tension, we asked to speak with the manager to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, the response was even more disheartening. The waiter brusquely declared himself to be the manager and outright refused to take any action to address our concerns. Hoping for someone with more authority to intervene reasonably, we then requested to speak with the owner. However, the owner was equally dismissive and maintained that his server couldn't possibly have spoken to us in such a disrespectful manner--even going so far as to deny any wrongdoing entirely. When I pointed out that the server's behavior suggested he might have been having a bad day but ought to remain respectful to customers regardless, I was met with indifference. I tried to explain how critical customer service is--especially when tourists like us choose to spend money supporting local businesses--but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Ultimately, things reached a breaking point when another guest at the restaurant ask us to leave, as no resolution. It was such a shame because, truthfully, the food itself was quite good. Unfortunately, no amount of culinary quality can compensate for the poor treatment we received from both staff and management alike. To think that we originally planned to purchase some of their locally made jam as a show of support for their business--it now feels inconceivable that we'd contribute any further after such an appalling episode. To sum up: while the food may meet expectations for taste, the dismissive attitude makes this establishment one to avoid at all costs. If you value being treated kindly or even with basic professionalism, steer clear and take your business elsewhere where it will truly be appreciated.
