    Bru brew

I was at this brewery when my wife went into labor. The beertender, Ryan, stepped out from behind the bar to help deliver my first born child. The beer is good, the service is great, and the atmosphere is beyond belief. We named our first born "Bru Brew" after our favorite beer. Looking for a good spot in Winter Park? Hideaway is the place, no doubt.

Hopping space here. Smallish bar with some limited space to hang if not seated. Cooler full of fresh cans and even a bottled imperial stout on our visit this past Tuesday. Friendly staff. Lots of dogs. Too many for the inside. Ha, one even peed on my friend's jacket while we were seated at the bar. Bad doggie. Owner was apologetic but keep that one at home if they can't control themselves inside. Loved that Rec Therapy. $15/6pack of 12oz cans a good deal. The bottled stout a bit steep at $24 for 500ml, but still snagged one to share with friends back home. Best brewery in the area based on our limited time in town.

Stopped by to try some beer. We got half pints so we could try more and I highly recommend doing that. Boyz to the yard - light and fruity beer. The black current brings a subtle tartness to balance out the sweetness. Arapaho amber - it's more hoppy than an amber would normally be. It was our least favorite. Barely pop - light beer with a nice barely aftertaste.

We came in here to eat our hot dogs and fries. My daughter ordered a root beer soda. Since it is a brewery, the root beer was in a beer bottle. So cute. The best soda she has has in years. Everything about this place was unique from the bar tender to the decorations. Really nice ambiance. Ten stars.

I had a really fun time here! I'm from Texas where beer is the drink of choice and this place did not disappoint! Really cool and nice staff. Helped me find the sweetest beer and it was delicious! I wish I could ship it to me! Overall a great place to chill out after a long day of skiing.

Beer is delicious. Service is friendly. Also their hand soap in the restroom smells really good. 10 outta 10 recommend!

Very tasty beers. Small place, but nice and quaint. Beertender was great. Good music on the speakers too.

A quick stop proved to be worth our while. I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband got the Peanut Butter Porter. He said it was very good beer, although it didn't taste particularly peanut buttery... It's right next to Fraser Valley Hot Dog, so combining the two made for an excellent lunch! Maybe they were in the middle of a brew or something, but man did it smell. So much so that I had to sit outside and wait for him, though he didn't mind it at all.

Went there on 8/30. Good size patio. Small area where the bar top is. Did not go upstairs. There is a hotdog place connected to the brewery. Beers are light to dark. Good selection. Cherry Gose and Dry Hop Pale Ale were great. We got a flight to see what different beers they have. Everybody was wearing masks. Tables were separated. Will definitely be back. Cheers!

Great beers, great location, and friendly service! I think I could hangout here and drink all day long. Great outdoor space too.

Very cute. Super local. I would give their cream ale 9 out of 10. My wife loved their Hazy IPA.

Brew is good! Hide away doesn't offer food but there is the cutest food window that serves hot dogs and burgers.

The best place to visit 3 or 7 times in Winter Park!

Fun brewery with lots of inside and outside seating. Lots of variety of beers at affordable prices. My favorite was a coffee stout.

Our second time to the original Broken Compass location, we like visiting both spots when in town…read more It's cool to go where the locals go, and we don't feel too out of place that everyone knows each other, other than us, because there's lots of dogs to pet while we're there. Drink beer and pet dogs is a very fitting slogan for this place. Wanting to try some different beers tonight, we had quite the flight: 1 - American Dream Cream Ale 2 - Irish Red 3 - Mexican Lager 4 - Ginger Pale Ale 5 - Fruit Ninja Blonde 8 - Lostoberfest Marzen 10 - Mangy Moose Spruce Tip Pale Ale My two favorites were the Cream Ale and the Marzen. Following the flight, I enjoyed a pint of the Cream Ale. My wife liked the Marzen and the Mangy Moose the best, and she enjoyed two pints of the Marzen. Employees and customers are all very friendly. A definite stop when we're in Breckenridge.

They have 2 locations, their original is just outside of town off Highway 9…read moreby the recycling center and their newer location is on Main Street walkable if you are staying close to the center town. We fell in love with their original location years ago. Their beer is fantastic. The service and atmosphere, though, is what keeps us coming back. The Broken Compass team works at both locations. Claire was our favorite team member but everyone on the team does a great job at inviting you to feel welcome. They're amazing. My favorite beer is their coconut porter. It has a hint of fresh coconut and is a lighter side of porter, not too syrupy. It's well balanced and might I dare say--it's perfect. That said, I haven't had a beer here that I didn't like. They have a great layout at the original location, though you wouldn't think it being in a commercial warehouse. There's a big garage door that opens in the back to outdoor seating. There's this amazing mural in the back of the building. The crowd there all seem to know each other which I am amazed at each time we visit. It's a more local vibe at the original location than the more touristy accessible location on Main Street. The original location has a super cozy vibe, lots of board games (or bring your own). It's a great place to hangout for a few hours. They also have a shuttle that takes patrons back to Main Street. Just call or ask the crew for more details. Again, favorite brewery in Breck. Thanks Claire and team! September 2024

Westbound & Down is a great place to check out and service matches the great beers they offer as well. Greeted with a warm welcome and a smile, we were quickly whisked away to our seats and greeted by a wonderful waitress with colorful tattoos on one arm and black/white tattoos on the other. She ran through the list of food and beverage like she had written the menus. The ambiance matched their personalities and easily had the mountain vibes! We ended up getting something fairly small since we had big plans for dinner in town. The bison burger was such a great bite after bite and the fries did not disappoint. Unfortunately the service and food were average at best. Our waiter seemed rushed and barely made eye contact or stopped at our table. The burger and chicken sandwich were fine. The fries were the best part. The chicken sandwich had way too much coleslaw so the bun disintegrated pretty quickly. We enjoyed the food enough but at the price, we expected more both from the food and the service.
