Since the ice cream is/should be the same in all locations the 3 is a review of the store. The store is a little shabby looking and there are no seats to stay and enjoy your ice cream. We had to sit in the little ledge there so that our ice cream wouldn't melt so quickly if we ate it outside (which would have been standing as there isn't a bench or anything outside either) Just a pick up and go store. Also, this store was more pricey than the Church Ave Location. The soft serve is nice and I would rate it a 4.

I love carvel there used to be carvel at Nostrand Avenue and Church Avenue back in the nineties that one closed down, but this location is located in the Kensington section of Brooklyn .there ice cream is great, I love coming here to this location I'll definitely mind coming back in heartbeat. Staff members are cool too! (their delivery here as well I'm not sure if it's from Grubhub, uber eats, door dash, postmates, etc )- call in double check P.S. something about Carvel ice cream that does it, no offense Baskin Robbins .....Lol !!!! ( all dough I could go to the shop and stop supermarket and get a carvel ice cream cake box I prefer to come here, instead ). Very convenient by the MTA transportation: Subway: F, G-Trains. Church avenue. Train station. Bus: B35 ,B67,B103

Cousin & I went to polish off our dinner with some ice cream. Best sundaes we ever had. The amount of fudge was nothing I'd ever seen. The lady who made it put my peanuts on first, then the hot fudge. At first I was confused but it made sense. Instead of the little suckers escaping and falling off, they were mounted underneath the mountain of fudge, guaranteed to be eaten with no escapees.

My favorite time of the year is December because it's my birthday month, which means I get to redeem a whole bunch of freebies. If you sign up for Carvel's emails, they give you a free soft serve cone coupon during the month of your birthday. Be aware that you can only open the email twice, so make sure to open it when you're near a printer. The Carvel I went to had 4 flavors of soft serve: vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and apple pie. The worker there was extremely accommodating when I asked for a swirl of both vanilla and apple pie. While the vanilla flavor wasn't bad, I personally thought McDonalds soft serve tasted better. Regarding the apple pie flavor, it was not for me. It tasted like an artificial fragrant cinnamon milk. My favorite part about the soft serve was the texture. There are some places that serve soft serve with a slightly gritty texture, but Carvel does not do that. It was completely smooth. I would probably never go out of my way to purchase a Carvel soft serve cone, but since it's free beggars really can't be choosers.

But this review is about something bigger than dessert. The strawberry cheesecake here reminds me of my mom. It was her favorite, and it was one of the last desserts I got to share with her. Anytime she wanted a sweet treat, that's what she asked for. Ordering it now keeps me connected to her. This past July, on her 3rd birthday in heaven, I placed an order to celebrate her. The menu only had cherry cheesecake that day, so I wrote a note explaining what the strawberry meant to me. The staff didn't just make it happen, they sent an extra slice of strawberry cheesecake on top of it. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. The people here have always been this kind. We love everyone who works there, and we're grateful for the small moments of care they've shown our family. Thank you for everything.

The pairing with chocolate and banana and strawberry is a classic hit and I love that they didn't skimp on the chocolate or biscoff here. The layers of crepe were appropriate thickness and not too dense. I hate when they crepe is too thick and feels like you're getting a mouthful of dough. Not with this bad boy. I asked if there was any way to fix this, and right away, the hostess brought us to another table with a much better view of that magnificent manhattan skyline and river. Then the food. Omg the food. We each ordered our main, after which they bring out an enormous tray of all these lovely nibble salads, pickles, dips, and pita. I don't eat wheat, and haven't my entire life, so I usually don't say anything about it if it seems to me the place doesn't cater to that sort of restriction. The server noticed however, and offered sliced cucumbers for the dips. Such a lovely detail, brava. Did I mention how deeeeeeeelicious everything was? Hubby had the steak shishlika which was perfectly tender and charred at once. I had the chicken shishlika which was good, but not the wow of the steak. Each and every salad, dip, pickle etc was perfectly spiced, cooked, presented. The nuances were just right. Nothing too precious or sideways. Just honest, well built yummy food. And the fries. You MUST get the fries. We ordered the tahini ranch along with the tahini catsup. In my opinion, that wasn't necessary. But if you're a ranch lover, go for it. Then the dessert! Soft serve with a cherry reduction and some kind of flourless chocolate brownie... I don't need to say more. The service was excellent. The food delicious. The view was perfect, though no one celebrated the sun going down like I was told they do. We will go back, with four or more so we can finish all the food. We got the spiced dark chocolate and the spices were overwhelming. Get dark chocolate without spices. The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Torino cafe is basically coffee added to any hot chocolate of your choice. That was tasty with dark chocolate. You definitely tasted the coffee and it was less thick than regular hot chocolate (which was on a thinner, sippier side). You can sample ice cream to make your selection. It's all very sweet, so if you're looking for a less sweet option go with Belgian dark chocolate flavor. For a $18 banana split you get three scoops of ice cream and a caramelized banana. Not a big portion for such hefty price. The tiny addition of toppings didn't make this banana split come together into a cohesive dish. Would get something else next time. Definitely not a good deal.
