The Cartier in San Francisco is my favorite Cartier location to shop at. I love how attentive and kind all of their staff are. During my last visit, I was immediately greeted by staff as I walked in. I bought a ring from sales associate, Justin, and he sold me the last ring they had in stock. I told him it was too large but he insisted it was due to European sizing. It went out for engraving and when it came back it was still massive - this was not my fault at all because I told him multiple times that the ring was too big and wouldn't work. Since he was sold out other than that one ring and wanted to make a quick sale, he pressured me into buying it and this was simply the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. I was planning on buying several pieces from this store, and frankly I still want to, but unfortunately no resolution has been made other than sizing it down 2 sizes. It's still huge and that did almost nothing- Every time I've come into the store they tell me to "wear it around for a bit and come back" as if it's going to shrink or something...? I really don't understand any of this as I used to work in retail and would never sell someone a size that doesn't fit them just to make a quick sale let alone not fix the mistake. We could have ordered it and I could have waited, the problem would have been solved. Justin's definitely missing out on several more sales as my husband and I will never shop with him again- if Cartier can fix this I will continue buying the items I planned on buying. I even told him this when buying the ring that I planned on buying several more pieces.... To rub salt on the wound, I had this exact ring and it was traumatically stolen from me and I told Justin this when I came in to buy a new one. He purposely let me buy a ring at least 5 sizes too big just so he could make a sale. They did better than some other luxury store but the intro so still rough. It did confirm to me though that not all Cartier stores judge you on your appearance. When we got here, they opened the door. Me and my fiancée just kind of stood there looking around. No assurance that someone was going to come grab us. Maybe it's my annoyance at other Cartier stores ignoring us, but I don't think this is acceptable for a luxury brand. But Ganchana, our sales associate, even did come. She was super friendly and helpful, offering us warm tea to help with the cold. She saved the experience. She was very honest, helpful, and informative. Everything you'd want in a SA. They didn't have a few of the love bracelet varietals in-stock at the store, which is a shame. If you're gonna go to a Cartier in the Bay, just go here It's definitely the least judgemental one in the Bay. read more

I can't recommend Kim enough. He was so kind and patient, and showered my shiba with so much affection. We dropped in looking to make a purchase before the price increases took place and I walked out with a shiny new necklace. Kim was very informative and I learned quite a few things that other associates never mentioned to me. We were also shown the new love unlimited collection before it was displayed to the public, and it was quite an experience. We experienced 2 SA's while in this boutique, and just like other boutiques in commission, only the SA whom you bought from will care. Our first SA was great. He showed us all the pieces we wanted and we were able to try out different sizes as well. We were planning to just tour and only purchase if any of the items caught our eye. And one did, so we went on to purchase. He showed us future wishlist items too which was nice. We had to come back to pick the item up on another day and we were met by a different SA. It's always so funny to look at the expressions on the SA's when they have to help out customers who bought from their coworkers. The new SA wanted to get over really quickly, perhaps thinking this was my first purchase. I've never met a cartier SA who just handed me the item simply in the bag without asking it to be gift wrapped. I asked for everything I could. It would have been faster if she just gave them all without me having to go through the list. Maybe they don't understand that being nice to coworker's customers can leave an impact and end up having customers return to them instead. Nothing new here, just get lucky with SA and you might have a good experience. I came in asking for a Cartier Panthère repair for one of my bracelets, the Manager was so professional and helpful I did a *quick peek* at their collection not wanting to buy anything and I left with two Panthère rings and two LOVE bracelets with dismounts. Dorothy listened to every single thing I wanted and showed me so many beautiful pieces. She needs a raise, a promotion and a vacation! I'm going to be making a few more grandeur purchases in a few months and Dorothy is going to be the one to help me! I will only make appointments moving forward with Dorothy because she so sweet, knowledgable and pleasant. She even ordered my Panthère ring in my size from their Miami location and she was on it with making sure it was a smooth transition. It also helps that we're both European too... At that point she made a motion to indicate she wanted to hold my watch. At this point she began typing on her iPhone for 15m... taking pictures,,,more typing...then said Cartier may REQUIRE me to pay for a servicing on my watch, and that they would call me at home and tell me. Why not say "Hello and thank you for coming in...Is this your first visit to the SF Cartier?...I can tell you are a long time customer by your watch....may I hold it?.... would it be possible for you to leave it with us for a few days or are you in a hurry?" If only I was born rich instead of good looking, I'd buy a Cartier watch. Or maybe I'd wear a giant Cartier Panther ring like Jay Z. Yes, the Jeweler of Kings makes beautiful jewelry and is the definition of a luxury brand. But for me, a UFC watching, lawn mowing, blue collar unprofessional like myself, I don't want to wear jewelry. Diamonds are a girl's best friend, diamonds aren't a middle aged, bald guy's best friend. That being said I love the watches. The Classic Tank watch looks amazing and is a good quality time piece. The men's Santos watch collection is also the only acceptable time the word "mens" and "delectable" should be used in the same sentence. Oh wait, the other one exception is if we are talking about those delectable little gingerbread mens that come out during the holidays. That's ok. My sales person Chanel was awesome. She answered all the questions I had about warranty and how often servicing is required. No pressure to buy, and very good customer service was provided. I brought in a Cartier Santos for a service and bracelet repair. I wanted an original bracelet with the traditional Cartier clasp but the watch arrived with a new style. At approxi $3000 I did not approve it. Eventually, with the able support of Kim, from Cartier San Francisco, I was offered a discount on the bracelet, which I accepted. However when the watch arrived (FedEx as I live 170 miles from San Francisco) it was too tight on my wrist, and there were no additional links included. I was told by Kim that it was the same size as my original bracelet and, because they had returned my original bracelet (which, after all, belonged to me!). So I have written three times to customer support My emails have not been acknowledged, let alone responded to. So after paying more than $3,400 for a service and bracelet, Cartier can neither see their way to lengthening the bracelet nor even having the courtesy to respond. read more

We made an appointment and was late but she waited for us! We did not feel rushed at all! I came specifically to try on the JUC SM with diamonds and OMG, it was beautiful! She was very knowledgeable and made sure I picked the right size for my wrist! She was very patient with me as I also asked to try on the Love bracelet SM to stack both in two different sizes. I ended up getting the JUC SM with diamonds and cannot be happier with my decision as this particular item is in high demand! Lana was able to put in a request for the JUC in three sizes for me to try and I'm so happy she did this! She also gave us a nice holiday surprise! I finally decided I wanted a Juste un clou bracelet.m for my birthday this year. Hubby said sure! He's a keeper! I finally made an appointment and went for it. Found convenient parking right in front. The security person was very no nonsense but friendly enough. I was directed to the concierge where a woman advised in a tone I couldn't quite put my finger on (perhaps slightly accusatory) that she couldn't find my appointment. I said nothing. She then said but let me get you checked in.. Yeah, how about that?! The only reason I'm not going all the way in on this review is Mo. She was my assigned person and was the absolute best. I was offered a glass of champagne to sip while I shopped ( this is customary). it was very nice and much needed. I have researched the different style Cartier bracelets, so I was prepared to shop. I was not sure of my measurements. I was fitted by Mo and the games begin! Everything is absolutely beautiful in there! I was able to successfully purchase what I came for. Mo wrapped my purchase as the most beautiful gift and gifted a bottle of champagne to go! Overall my experience was very positive. Front desk staff may want to learn how to go with the flow instead of unnecessarily advising potential customers they can't find their appointments if you are going to ultimately see them anyway. What was the point? If I didn't have my mind already made up I would have said Really? and left the premises. I like this Cartier location because the customer service never fails me. I've gotten a couple a bracelets and rings and each time their customer service was superb and extremely professional. They make you feel welcome and are very thorough in answering any questions you may have. This may not always be the case at other Cartier locations, so it's extremely refreshing that they stand on excellent customer service. The only way to put it is that they are simply the best. Really top notch service and the SAs really take the time to learn about your needs and your taste. They also do not pressure you into buying which is rather lovely because these are big purchases and they want to make sure you love it. My SA Erin has truly gone above and beyond while working with me. From letting me try on pieces to ordering in things I've seen and even just treating me to a lunch when I had a hard time. Appointment service: I was apprehensive of using the appointment service, but was glad that it worked out quite well. I was able to book an appointment at the store for the next day. I was able to select multiple types of items of interest so the staff could have things ready. Even after I got there the staff was happy to show me items that weren't on my list either. The store is pretty busy so I loved that we didn't have to wait for a sales associate. The store: I'm generally impressed with most luxury stores customer service, but Mo really brings service to a whole new level. I had a lot of technical questions on complex topics (like metal mixes and diamond cuts) and she was able to answer them with ease. For questions she couldn't answer immediately, she took my number and texted me the answers later that night. Overall it's a beautiful store, excellent service and has knowledgeable staff. read more

I appreciate this location. I purchased both my fiancé's ring and my own wedding ring here. The sales reps were very helpful, the security was very kind and the location had very nice flowers (changed twice a week!) and presentation. Unfortunately the ring I chose was not in store in my size but they had it sent from another boutique which I appreciated. I will be in next week to pick up the ring. I was extra happy because I went in to purchase another ring but when I tried a few others on found one I liked even more and the price was shockingly less. More money for the honeymoon! read more
