If I could go back, I would never step into that dealership--let alone buy a car from them. Maybe that was the biggest mistake I ever made

I am not going to write long review and explaining here to waste people's time and my time…read more all places have good and donw side. no bitching, not back stabbing, or no dung behind the curtain type of place so far. I stop by here frequently. and i tell my networks to do so as well. Cheers

I really wanted and intended to write a five star review of OC Autosource because initially I liked…read morethe owner, Tony Thompson and trusted him. I ignored other reviews and purchased my dream car from OC Autosource...a Bentley Continental GT Speed "Limited Le Mans Edition" (#7 of 48) coupe. Though the car had been in his hands for weeks, he apparently never bothered to have a mechanic look at it. I paid for a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) after buying it (my bad, don't make this mistake) and learned the truth about the car. The front grills had sustained damage, breaking off the tabs that hold them in place and subsequently been GLUED back on. The front left wheel had a crack in it which caused the tire to steadily lose air pressure, ultimately triggering an alert on the car's dash. This alert effectively froze the computer, making it impossible to use the navigation, listen to music or do anything else. I returned to the tire shop 3 times for refills, seven days later the alarm was triggered again, On my third visit they discovered the crack in the wheel. The exhaust system was loosely hanging on...missing brackets that secure it and prevent it from hanging low. The car has a 20 speaker, $7500.00 sound system but the blown speaker in the dash made it painful to use...like nails on a chalkboard. When I provided Tony proof of these flaws, he assured me he would make good on the repairs and "..do the right thing" and I believed him. I had everything fixed at a cost of $2637.79 (parts & labor) and now enjoy driving the car. Weeks passed and Tony never contacted me until I posted a review and filed a BBB complaint. 24hrs after posting my initial review & filing a BBB complaint, I got reimbursed the total amt for the aforementioned repairs. But because Tony asked me to "...remove all the negative you put out there" I feel this was mere damage control rather than his desire to do the right thing because I received more messages from him within 24hrs of posting my review than I received in the preceding 4 months.. I promised him an honest review on my first visit to OC Autosouce & that's what this is. I always keep my word. If you intend to purchase a car from OC Autosource, I suggest you demand a PPI be conducted before you buy. Have the cost of any repairs necessary be deducted from the purchase price and handle the repairs yourself. JMO...I could be wrong.

I've purchased two previous used cars at other CarMax locations and have been happy with both the…read moreexperience and the cars I've purchased. After putting over 200K miles on my current vehicle I decided it was time for a new one. Online, I found two I liked, one at a Honda dealership and the other at CarMax. The dealership option had more miles than I'd like so I went to CarMax first. My CarMax option was at the car lot in Duarte, but they shipped it to my nearby Irvine location at no fee so that I could look it over and test drive it. I met Byron at an appointed time, test drove it, asked a bunch of questions, and inspected it thoroughly. I liked it even better in person than what I saw online and made the purchase. Byron made the buying experience quick, easy, pressure-free, and made me feel comfortable - he's great at his job! I love my car.

CarMax Irvine was a useful place to see and try different makes and models of cars…read more However, they will NEVER see a dime from me or anyone I can spread the word to because of the rude and sexist sales person we dealt with the first time we went in. We had an appointment to browse, and were assigned to Mahanth Kommireddy. When he came up to us, he shook my hand, introduced himself to me, AND THEN COMPLETELY IGNORED MY WIFE. We almost walked out right there, but wanted to test drive a car so we bit our tongues. Even once we went to his desk, he still did not acknowledge her at all. If this is how he treats wives of potential customers, I'm sure this isn't the first and won't be the last time he cost you business. I ended up doing the whole sit through the dealer nightmare that you guys are supposed to be a better alternative to because I refuse to reward such awful behavior.

Great customer service Very kind and knowledgeable staff…read more Great price and great quality of the vehicles Will recommend this dealership to everyone I know Thank you

I don't usually leave Yelp reviews, but I'm sharing this so other buyers are aware…read more I contacted Nash Auto in Costa Mesa about a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition VIN WVGRV7AX2HK009632 and worked with Marcy Hernandez. From the start, I was clear that I was ready to move forward and simply needed a clean, transparent out the door or otd price in writing before coming in. I was told the numbers weren't finalized because they didn't have my zip code and that what I had received was "just a quote." After I provided my zip code and continued asking for a corrected itemized otd, I was sent multiple deal summaries for the same vehicle, each with different numbers. The $11,234.54 otd figure only appeared after I specifically asked for the warranty to be removed so the deal would be straightforward. I was then told the GM had "discounted" it, but no updated written breakdown reflecting that change was ever provided. Despite repeatedly asking for transparency, additional deal summaries followed showing completely different figures including over $17k and then $15k listed as "cash down," higher taxes and fees, and thousands of dollars in "additional products" that were never discussed or agreed to. This was all for the same vehicle, same vin. When I again asked for a clear, accurate itemized otd in writing, communication stopped. Shortly after, I was told the vehicle had been sold. However, later the same day a friend called the dealership and spoke with Lynn who said the same Tiguan was still available and attempted to schedule an appointment. I was also contacted by Marcy separately about another vehicle supposedly "coming in tomorrow." I have screenshots of the texts and every deal summary showing these inconsistencies. I walked away. Being unable to obtain a single clear otd despite repeatedly asking and combined with shifting numbers and conflicting statements about availability were major red flags. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and carefully verifying the math if you consider buying here.
