I took it back three times, and the last time I took it back, they said they replaced all the pads and rotors but didn't give me a receipt. About two months ago, the manager called me back and tried to guilt trip me into removing the review. He said, "Did we really deserve that one star? We tried everything we could to fix the problem." I told him, "You didn't fix the problem. That's just an excuse. "The reality is you did not fix the problem." He said, "Well, at least give us some credit. We put in new rotors and the pads." I said that was nice but it doesn't fix the problem, and they keep lying over and over. Lies over lies. Yesterday, I took it to have the brakes inspected and get an oil change, and come to find out, the front is at 7 and the back is at 3. I drive about 200 miles a week, so there is no way. They probably never even changed any brakes or rotors at this point since they never gave me a receipt. They lied to me repeatedly. I hate when I am taken out to look like an idiot, and I have the proof from the inspection receipt. I will report this to the Better Business Bureau now.

Despite that, the final numbers still included a GPS/security add-on (yellow "STAR GPS" sticker) and other extras that were not clearly disclosed upfront. With Governor Gavin Newsom recently signing the California Combating Auto Retail Scams (CARS) Act into law to improve pricing transparency, this kind of experience is especially disappointing. If the real price is closer to $19K, that should be reflected in the listing. I walked out. Buyers should ask for a full out-the-door breakdown before coming in.

I really wanted and intended to write a five star review of OC Autosource because initially I liked…read morethe owner, Tony Thompson and trusted him. I ignored other reviews and purchased my dream car from OC Autosource...a Bentley Continental GT Speed "Limited Le Mans Edition" (#7 of 48) coupe. Though the car had been in his hands for weeks, he apparently never bothered to have a mechanic look at it. I paid for a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) after buying it (my bad, don't make this mistake) and learned the truth about the car. The front grills had sustained damage, breaking off the tabs that hold them in place and subsequently been GLUED back on. The front left wheel had a crack in it which caused the tire to steadily lose air pressure, ultimately triggering an alert on the car's dash. This alert effectively froze the computer, making it impossible to use the navigation, listen to music or do anything else. I returned to the tire shop 3 times for refills, seven days later the alarm was triggered again, On my third visit they discovered the crack in the wheel. The exhaust system was loosely hanging on...missing brackets that secure it and prevent it from hanging low. The car has a 20 speaker, $7500.00 sound system but the blown speaker in the dash made it painful to use...like nails on a chalkboard. When I provided Tony proof of these flaws, he assured me he would make good on the repairs and "..do the right thing" and I believed him. I had everything fixed at a cost of $2637.79 (parts & labor) and now enjoy driving the car. Weeks passed and Tony never contacted me until I posted a review and filed a BBB complaint. 24hrs after posting my initial review & filing a BBB complaint, I got reimbursed the total amt for the aforementioned repairs. But because Tony asked me to "...remove all the negative you put out there" I feel this was mere damage control rather than his desire to do the right thing because I received more messages from him within 24hrs of posting my review than I received in the preceding 4 months.. I promised him an honest review on my first visit to OC Autosouce & that's what this is. I always keep my word. If you intend to purchase a car from OC Autosource, I suggest you demand a PPI be conducted before you buy. Have the cost of any repairs necessary be deducted from the purchase price and handle the repairs yourself. JMO...I could be wrong.

I met Byron at an appointed time, test drove it, asked a bunch of questions, and inspected it thoroughly. I liked it even better in person than what I saw online and made the purchase. From the start, I was clear that I was ready to move forward and simply needed a clean, transparent out the door or otd price in writing before coming in. I was told the numbers weren't finalized because they didn't have my zip code and that what I had received was "just a quote." After I provided my zip code and continued asking for a corrected itemized otd, I was sent multiple deal summaries for the same vehicle, each with different numbers. The $11,234.54 otd figure only appeared after I specifically asked for the warranty to be removed so the deal would be straightforward. I was then told the GM had "discounted" it, but no updated written breakdown reflecting that change was ever provided. Despite repeatedly asking for transparency, additional deal summaries followed showing completely different figures including over $17k and then $15k listed as "cash down," higher taxes and fees, and thousands of dollars in "additional products" that were never discussed or agreed to. This was all for the same vehicle, same vin. When I again asked for a clear, accurate itemized otd in writing, communication stopped. Shortly after, I was told the vehicle had been sold. However, later the same day a friend called the dealership and spoke with Lynn who said the same Tiguan was still available and attempted to schedule an appointment. I was also contacted by Marcy separately about another vehicle supposedly "coming in tomorrow." I have screenshots of the texts and every deal summary showing these inconsistencies. I walked away. Being unable to obtain a single clear otd despite repeatedly asking and combined with shifting numbers and conflicting statements about availability were major red flags. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and carefully verifying the math if you consider buying here.
