If I could give Adel more than 5 stars , I would. Recently we had to sell our 2021 Toyota Tundra w/ an original Tommy lift gate. We already know we'd be selling at a loss so every possibility to cut loss, we would take. My husband brought the truck to Toyota or Orange, they inspected our truck, gave us the appraisal listing 27k buy back in writing. Toyota told my husband to remove the lift gate, they don't need it. My husband brought the truck to Adel, he offered 27.6k. Given our rock bottom situation, I thought whynot sell the lift gate to cut loss as much as I could. Before I did, I called Mr. Adel asking him to buy my truck at 28k, I told him Toyota said they don't need my lift gate, I could sell it for at least 1k. Adel said sorry Hun, I can't do that but good luck to you. He was professional, upfront, and polite. So I had to drive to LA to remove the lift gate and sold it for 1k. Next morning we brought it back to Toyota, they said sorry, without the lift gate they cannot buy it anymore. The day before when Toyota told my husband that was ok, their manager was not present. The next day when the manager is there, he apologized and said no even though I literally cried and explain why would they tell me to remove it and now what am I to do? I even tried to call my lift gate buyer and ask if I can buy back my lift gate but my buyer who bought it for 1k cannot because it was a good price. And I totally understand that. Toyota really put me in a situation where I really didn't know what to do anymore. So I called Adel and explained everything to him. He told me to give him a couple hours, he'll see what he can do. I couldn't wait a couple hours. I was having very bad anxiety feeling so helpless with the situation Toyota put me through. So I told my husband to just drive straight to Adel to talk to him in person. Without any appts, mt husband just show up with our truck without a bumper, tow hitch, tailgate, and missing lift gate Mr. Adel was reasonable and fair. He gave us the option to find those missing parts and bring it to him, he'll have his employee put back those parts, that way he wouldn't deduct so much from his original offer to us. My husband is moving out of state alone in 4 days. There is no way I can stay back in CA alone, pay for 2 cars, and take care of this issue, while taking care of my ADHD son alone. I told my husband please ask Adel to give us his best offer. I've been losing sleep and weight and will probably end up in the ER if I cannot resolve this truck before he leaves. My husband called back shortly and told me Adel will buy back for 25k. To me it's fair. He gave us his best deal when the lift gate was still attached. I know the lift gate is worth about 2.5k if I didn't rush selling it. Now without it, no lift gate, tail gate, bumper, & tow hitch, I know 25k is reasonable. I took my car here to get appraised and possibly sell it to them on a Monday 5pm. It was easy to make and reschedule an appointment, because I wasn't sure when I'd be able to take it in. They are open weekdays and Saturday. It's in a business park in Irvine across from Irvine Mini dealership. They have a small office space inside one of the buildings and they come out and look at and test drive your car and then tell you if they want to make you an offer. The fees are pretty low, and appraisal is free whether you decide to sell it to them or not. For example I had the clear title in my name, but misplaced the paper copy from DMV because I moved twice and it got lost. So they charged me $75.00 but offered to refund me this fee if it suddenly turned up. However, if you choose not to sell it to them right away they pay $200 less if you come back so I suggest you get a number in your mind and check elsewhere, then come here last. My only possible gripe is that when I went to kbb.com afterward they valued my car as $X,700 for "good" condition in trade-in. But when he showed me the valuation based on the same data and his own assumptions it was $X,500. So that's a gap. And my car seemed to be between "good" and "very good" condition, but they counted it as "good". So you may want to print this information out beforehand and bring it with you. As well as your registration/title. However, if you have a clean, well running car and you're looking to save your time via appointment and get a decent offer and a check right on the spot, this is a good place to go. He made a decision not to take my car based on Kelley Blue Book. I would say my car is 'very good' but he marked it as 'fair', the lowest option. If he found a middle ground between those two prices, I would have happily thought of selling my car or would have given a satisfied review. I read all the glowing reviews about trade in solutions so I figured I'd see if I could get anymore for my car. Adele called me back and said $12,000 is a good offer and trade in solutions wouldn't be able to beat it.. and that the car market has changed a lot for the cadillac cts in the past 2 weeks.. and carmax would likely not offer me that again. I wanted to sell my low mileage 2010 model year car and decided to try Trade-In Solutions. The KBB trade in value for my car was pretty high $31K to $35k. I made up my mind I would walk if I received a low ball appraisal because my car is in good condition. So I made a same day appointment and drove down there and met Adel. He is a one man operation which works great! He does the inspection right in front of me and then we go for a test ride. After the test drive we went back to his office and he showed me the KBB price (which I had already checked) on his computer and said he would have to deduct some because of minor paint chips, minor scrape on wheels and needs new tires. At this point I'm thinking ohh ohh here comes the low-ball and he quotes me $33k :-) I'm a happy camper!! That's more then I expected and a fair price. There was zero pressure.
