I was in the process of trading in my car to CarMax for a specific amount, and paying for my new car with that money. I had already signed the paperwork, and just needed to bring them the payment. CarMax, because I had just renewed my registration and the DMV wasn't showing it in their system, wouldn't buy the car until the registration cleared with the DMV, even though I had the receipt and email confirmation from the DMV. My 2018 Kia Sportage Ex went into an accident last year, the front was crashed andbthe airbag was deployed. I contacted Carstub yesterday to sell our 2017 Ford-F350 truck and to our surprise they were out within 3 hours for the appraisal. I totally agree with JC. What he doesn't know is that this company hides under the name of cash4usedcars.com and cashforcars.com. I got fooled by the same sweet talker at that place. Wasted my valuable time driving there and got the BS like you won't believe. If I had the time, I would report them all over the net and news. Don't make a mistake. These guys claim that they have offices in Los Angeles and all over the Southern California, and the funny thing is that when I asked where I could bring my car in L.A., they got nervous and said oh the manager is off and we'll send an appraiser to your house. No way in h............... I want any one showing up to my door. I found a company that is in L.A. and was very accommodating and really straight forward. I asked their manager if I can name them in my comment here and they said that it will not be appropriate when I am giving a negative review to another company, because others might think that they encouraged me to do this. On 6/3/2015 my appointment was 6:30PM, by the time I arrived home from work, Minh and Edward already there waiting for me. That was the good start from my perspective to them. The process of inspecting my car was a little too long, took almost 1 hour. The negotiation was really smooth, and the deal was made reasonable. We came across a little issue with paper work that they need to go back to the office, Edward and Minh promised to come back within one hour since they have to go back and pick up a new form. Though she assured good payout for my vehicle, I was still skeptical, being I had seen three similar companies this week. I just sold my Tesla and I actually cannot believe how easy it was and how competitive Carstub was. Justin was my Carstub rep. Super polite, super professional, super efficient. He came out, checked out the vehicle, we took it for a drive. He spent a few minutes acquiring offers. Then said he thought we could do a bit better and countered the highest, and then it was done. I couldn't find the title - no problem. Justin took care of every bit of DMV paperwork. My part in this was giving my signature like 4 times. The whole thing took 30 minutes maybe. After her review of the vehicles, she worked things out on her end rather swiftly. After agreeing to the amounts, a check was handed to me, agreements signed, and she was on her way.
