My boyfriend and I love pizza and have many family and friends who work in & love pizza too. We just moved from SoCal to Ithaca and were missing our pizza game. We hit up this place because of the reviews and one dollar sign pricing. It's a small place and there wasn't really anyone inside but on a Friday night, tons of people came for pick up. We ordered 10 piece hot traditional wings along with a large pepperoni & garlic pizza--total $33. We ate the wings first and was only able to fit a couple slices of pizza but as soon as I started eating the pizza I regretted not waiting to eat the pizza first (although the wings were delicious)! The pizza crust is pretty thin and just the right amount of crispiness. You can tell the ingredients are of the best quality for the price you're paying. The main guy (owner maybe?) even came to our table to check in on how we were doing and how we liked everything. Very nice staff, most were young but it seemed like they really enjoy what they do and working for a great local place like that. Overall we loved this place and it even reminded us of home with the quality and hospitality. This may be our new pizza place! :)

Worst dining experience my family and I have ever had!…read more We went here for my brother-in-law's graduation from SUNY Cortland. We made the reservations about three months in advance thinking it would book up. They must have caught on it was graduation weekend because two months later they called saying they were changing the menu to a $75 per person prix fixe menu and they needed a $90 deposit. When we got there, we told the hostess the name for the reservation and were met with a scared and confused reaction. When she found the reservation, we were seated in a dining room with one other family seated. Soon after we sat down, we noticed the family that had already finished eating was talking amongst themselves, and the father went to the waitress to dispute his bill. We overheard him saying no one ate and it was the worst food they had ever been served. We should have listened and left right then! We decided to order and test our luck. For the appetizers, we got fried calamari, wings, meatballs, and the antipasto platter. The calamari was the first to come out, and we were all at a loss for words. The calamari came out yellow and looked like it was not cooked at all! My sister-in-law's boyfriend was brave enough to try it, and when he took a bite, it was so rubbery it snapped like a rubber band. When we addressed this with our server, she acted like it was normal! She made it seem like they just didn't like it and offered to let them select a different appetizer. The new wings came out very fast, but with blue cheese instead of ranch. When we asked a food runner for a side of ranch, she said she would ask our waitress, but it never came. After still not learning our lesson, we ordered entrees. We ordered two fettuccine Alfredos, spicy vodka tortellini, two steaks, two chicken parmigianas, and two penne alla vodka. The entrees took over an hour to come out, and while we were waiting, it got even worse. More customers started to come in, with a total of about 10 to 12 tables including ours. While waiting for our food, we saw families get seated, wait 20 minutes for water, and decide to leave before the waitress even came over. Other tables that had their food were requesting comped bills because their food was not edible. This caused one of the waitresses, who we later found out was the manager, to begin CRYING in front of customers while taking their orders. Still waiting for our food, a table got seated behind us and their experience was the same as ours. They waited 10 minutes for water cups and a pitcher of water (which was an empty Jack Daniels bottle), and the waitress almost dropped a glass on the father, which he caught. Then when they got their appetizers, the waitress knocked the same glass off the table, shattering it right next to the man's foot. One member of my party used the bathroom and found out there was no toilet paper. We immediately let the waitress know, and she stated she would have someone refill it, which never happened during our entire time in the restaurant. We came to find out ALL three bathrooms in the restaurant were out of toilet paper. We finally got our food and it was all inedible! The Alfredo tasted like water with noodles you would expect to get in a hospital. The steak had no char and was gray on the outside and rare on the inside when it was ordered medium. The spicy vodka had no taste besides the absurd amount of red pepper flakes, and the regular vodka sauce and marinara sauces were watered down with little to no taste. No one ate their food and, since we were starving, we decided to try dessert that came included with our "prix fixe" meals. During this time, the table that had glass dropped on them finally received their food, which they also found inedible, got very upset, and most of them got up and walked right out. After the food runner took our plates away, we asked her for more water for the table, to which she responded, "I can ask your waitress because I am not authorized to bring water to the table." When the new water finally came, it was in a dirty bottle and the water was slightly brown. I could go on about everything that made this by far the worst dining experience anyone in that restaurant unfortunate enough to stay for their entree had ever had, but this review is long enough. For the total of 3 hours we spent at this miserable establishment, we saw 6 tables get up and walk out. Also, if you have to use the bathroom while dining here, you may actually need to leave the restaurant and go down the road to the Motel 6 to use their restroom. So not only is this a terrible establishment with slow service and awful food, it is also a scam.

I know it was only take-out but what an amazing experience!…read more The online ordering through the restaurant website was really easy and it gave me a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $30. I was shocked at the 45 minute wait time for some chicken wings but, I saw how busy they were when I go there. I loved the atmosphere when I walked in. It was busy at the bar and restaurant but no one was waiting for a seat. That's a great sign. Immediately, I was asked if I had an order. I told the gentleman I could wait but he went back and put a rush on the wings. Within 10 minutes I had the wings, and an apology for how long it took. Although, it was well before my 45 minute pick up time. The parking lot is a bit cramped but there's not much room to expand. Besides, they have been there since I was a kid. The wings were so good. They came with blue cheese, celery, and carrots. Overall, this place is well above 5 stars. I can't wait to dine in and visit the bar side. Great service and I hope they stay open for another 40+ years.

This business is mostly catering and takeout. But we've eaten here twice now with 7 people. It's about 20 minutes from Ithaca so it's nice to not have to wait for the table. The homemade bread came out quickly with the most amazing olive oil based dipping sauce! I could have lived on this. Seriously. So good. The menu is expansive so it's hard to choose but we had the fried ravioli appetizer and EVERYBODY raved about it. It was so delicious. The portions were just humongous. We literally boxed up over half of what we ordered. They specialize in Greek and Italian food and everyone loved what they got. They only serve water and soda. I found out later, we could have brought alcohol in if we wanted but that wasn't important to us. Menu prices are out of date so keep this in mind. It ended up being about $50/person including a generous tip. If you're in the area, give Gus's place a try. You won't be disappointed!

The salad was exactly what you would hope for nice variety and nothing shriveled. The wings were good but with bones in the name I was expecting more flavor. The only reason I can not give them five stars is because even though the wings were hot and provided the heat I expected it did not have a robust flavor. It tasted like franks with some butter in it. Again not terrible in any way but not what I expected based on the store name. The prices were very reasonable. Anyone staying at Greek peak or passing through the area can safely eat here and have everyone find something to eat without breaking the bank.

Server also didn't write down our orders, and then brought out one of the orders incorrectly... which, unfortunately, my friend didn't feel like she could send back because everything was taking so long. Food itself was okay... but could use more flavor. For example, a friend and I split the lobster corn fritters (fresh Maine lobster, sweet corn, asiago, cilantro, honey mustard, and sriracha). The fritters were almost entirely corn, and I tasted no hint of asiago or the cilantro (and I like cilantro, so I tend to pick up on the taste pretty easily... but there was nothing). The pizza I ordered for my main dish was fine... if perhaps a bit undercooked. One of my friends ordered a pizza with tomatoes on it, and it came out with large, rectangle chunks of tomato covering the pizza (red and yellow tomatoes). At first, she though the yellow tomatoes were pineapple chunks because of the size. She figured out they were tomatoes, but the amount of them on the pizza itself made it a bit awkward to eat. Ambiance was interesting. It feels welcoming enough, but the door to the outside patio was open and there were numerous flies that would seemingly dive-bomb my friends and I during our meal. Because the door was open, it was also a bit muggy inside the restaurant itself. Anyway... would I/we rush back? Probably not. And I certainly wouldn't grab lunch here again just because of how much time it took.
