Pizza
Ankita S.

Very busy restaurant in Seneca. The garlic knots as appetiser were very tasty! We ordered bruschetta, mushroom ravioli and bruschetta pizza. Next time I m here, I will definitely ask for less cheese. All the dishes were soaked with cheese (even bruschetta) which is why I am giving 3 stars. The staff was very attentive. I liked the ambience of this restaurant. It's also on a great location! Very close to the lake.

My wife and I were staying at a bed and breakfast in the area, were visiting the local harvest festival on Main St. in Montour Falls so we dropped in for a quick slice. I had no reviews on Jerlando's so we went in blind so to say. The cheese slices were very tasty. Usually my wife doesn't finish the crust on pizza but this time she couldn't stop eating it. We had a second slice. For a simple cheese slice I give this place a high mark becasue every bit of it made you want another bite. The dough was soft, just the right chewiness and the cheese was a home run. Everything was fresh the worker explained - nothing frozen and made with customer care in mind. The workers were friendly, quick and the prices were very fair. What else can you ask from a slice but that you want a second one fast? Great job Jerlando's on Main St.

a pizza box with a lot of stains on it

My boyfriend and I recently ordered a pizza from here that had bright blue material (appeared to be paint chips but could be a different hazardous material) between the cardboard box and the paper the pizza rests on. I contacted the restaurant, and the manager told me their pizza boxes come preassembled from another company. He offered a refund because our food was contaminated but later said the owner refused a refund and any responsibility. Rather than look into this further or bring this issue to the pizza box company's attention, the owner claimed it was crayon shavings (they're not) and implied we (or children we don't even have) put them there. We have nothing that color in our house or anyone else living here, and we only discovered it after eating a few slices and packing up the rest, as it was under the paper. Since the owner isn't taking this matter seriously, I feel I have to warn others that there's nothing to stop this from happening again. The pizza is just ok, and my last order of garlic knots came completely raw inside, so I'm personally just done with this place, their unsanitary practices, and their rude owner.

Amazing pizza, friendly people, small but clean space. We will definitely be back when we are in town.

Good pizza and salad. I would have given the hot wings were greasy, no flavor with no sauce.

Excellent pizza by the slice in the take out portion on the back side of the restaurant. Perfect to walk down and eat at the lake.

I really want to love this place; and for the most part, I do! But when you have an absentee owner…read moreand no manager--stars are lost! Went in last Friday night after discovering they have a fish fry! It's $25--which, to me, is a little on the pricey side for a fish fry, but we like this place and the vibe...so we tried it. The fish was crispy and fresh and hot and delicious! The mac and cheese was good, hot and gooey. The coleslaw, which is a newer item on their menu, tastes oddly like grocery store macaroni salad--the kind with the little pieces of carrot and sweet pickle?? I suspect it was made with miracle whip and I don't eat miracle whip...but that's not what cost them the star!! I just chalk that up to personal taste...not good taste...but not for me. The server offered dessert, cheesecake or peanut butter pie. The owner of this restaurant, btw, owns a bakery. We opted for one of each. My husband got the cheesecake and there was a dried up chunk of something that fell off another dessert!? Nope...his cheesecake was dried out...literally to the point that I could lift it up by the sides and set it back down without my fingers having anything on them--still dry. So I tried my peanut butter pie. Also so dry that I could lift it by the cut sides and thump it on the plate and it didn't even fall apart!!! Shame. On. Them!! The server explained that they were probably in the fridge for "a day or two"...I think possibly more?? They were taken right off the bill, but when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told they don't have one. Please note...for the most part this is a local restaurant we like and frequent. But when you have owners trying to get by with that kind of nonsense, it's an embarrassment! I felt bad for the server and disappointed by this. Hopefully this is a problem they will fix. I'd go for the fish fry again and their beans and greens are crave-worthy. Very cool atmosphere, good service.

Super cozy restaurant with phenomenal food and service!…read more We ordered a few starters: the chicken liver crostini, beet salad, and mixed green salad--all of which were fantastic. The chicken saltimbocca and bucatini were delicious, but the star of the meal was the hanger steak. Not only juicy and tender, but so so flavorful! I don't order steak often, but I wouldn't hesitate to get it again. They also have a solid selection of cocktails and wine to pair with your meal. The staff are really friendly and helpful with menu suggestions and wine pairings. I believe it's run by a family, and it certainly provides the comfort and care of one. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner and will be back!

The layout and vibe were nearly identical to the other location: cozy, softly lit, and upscale. Deciding what to eat was the hardest part. I went with my gut and got their Lamb Ragu Pasta - rich, herby, and the pasta had this firm bite. My girlfriend had the Porchetta, which she found a bit too fatty, though she polished off the potatoes with zero hesitation. My friend ordered the Chicken Piccata. I tried it, nodded, and moved on - good, but not groundbreaking. We ended with an affogato (fancy words for vanilla ice cream drowned in espresso). Simple, classy, and somehow the star of the night. If nothing else, I'd come back just for that.

I know it was only take-out but what an amazing experience!…read more The online ordering through the restaurant website was really easy and it gave me a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $30. I was shocked at the 45 minute wait time for some chicken wings but, I saw how busy they were when I go there. I loved the atmosphere when I walked in. It was busy at the bar and restaurant but no one was waiting for a seat. That's a great sign. Immediately, I was asked if I had an order. I told the gentleman I could wait but he went back and put a rush on the wings. Within 10 minutes I had the wings, and an apology for how long it took. Although, it was well before my 45 minute pick up time. The parking lot is a bit cramped but there's not much room to expand. Besides, they have been there since I was a kid. The wings were so good. They came with blue cheese, celery, and carrots. Overall, this place is well above 5 stars. I can't wait to dine in and visit the bar side. Great service and I hope they stay open for another 40+ years.

The Ricotta beet mint combo was not my favorite but my two friñeds loved it. The calamari, also not noteworthy. The ciopini was good but not the best I've had. It is pricey for Corning, along the lines of 3 Birds but I have never had anything that wasn't great at 3 Birds. Also Similar to the Cellar in price.
