I was a little surprised it was made with rigatoni noodles. I double checked the menu and it does say over spaghetti. The bottom of the container was a layer of oil. Gus owns this amazing catering business that also allows in restaurant dining but you have to call ahead. The ambience is not good so don't expect to go into a beautiful, cozy space. This business is mostly catering and takeout. But we've eaten here twice now with 7 people. It's about 20 minutes from Ithaca so it's nice to not have to wait for the table. The homemade bread came out quickly with the most amazing olive oil based dipping sauce! I could have lived on this. Seriously. So good. The menu is expansive so it's hard to choose but we had the fried ravioli appetizer and EVERYBODY raved about it. It was so delicious. The portions were just humongous. We literally boxed up over half of what we ordered. They specialize in Greek and Italian food and everyone loved what they got. They only serve water and soda. I found out later, we could have brought alcohol in if we wanted but that wasn't important to us. Menu prices are out of date so keep this in mind. It ended up being about $50/person including a generous tip. If you're in the area, give Gus's place a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

Finding great food while traveling for work has been made easier with yelp. I got as far as the fresh homemade bread reviews and chose this spot, not spending a lot of time on the atmosphere. It's more set up for takeout. My coworkers were confused at first and then the food came out. Portions are massive. Leftovers fed me the next evening. After an unsuccessful attempt at making a to-go order, we sort of forgot about this place. Then tonight we decided to give it a try. We took our friends along with us. The place is small (about 6-8 tables) and all the drinks (water, soda etc) are bottled. The owner, Gus, came out and told us he could make anything on the menu any way we wanted. Unusual. He was alone in the kitchen as Casey took over the front. There were one or two tables occupied and it was obvious they were doing a robust to-go business as well. I'm going to start by saying I'm so glad we weren't in a hurry. We'd have missed out on not only amazing food, but great conversation with Gus and Casey. We started with the Clams Oregonata. These are not the baked clams you normally know as Clams Oregonata. Call them whatever you like, they were amazing. At least 30 clams came in a rich yellow broth with minced clams all over the top. It was a meal in itself. We also ordered a thin crust pizza that everyone at the table enjoyed. I then got the Greek Isle salad, which consists of tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, Kalamata olives and a hunk of feta in this amazing dressing. Everyone at the table went crazy for this. I could eat it every day and said so. By then we were full but dinner was coming. We had a chicken cacciatore, the scallops over sautéed spinach instead of pasta, the chicken Venezianna, and I simply told Casey to tell Gus to make me something but I didn't want pasta or potato. Out came a pile of scallops and shrimp over sautéed broccoli. I wanted to cry because it was exactly what I had in mind. The scallops were tender and flavorful, as was the shrimp. Everyone loved their meal and we all took home boxes because the portions are huge. Then Gus brought out some baklava on the house. OMG. The best thing I've ever had. It was simply amazing. For what we got the bill was very inexpensive but the experience is one you cannot put a price on. We will be back. read more

Don't know about the food because I haven't ever been able to get delivery, even after they accept my order, hours in advance, for the moment they open for dinner. Always gets cancelled with "too busy". They can't be busy because they aren't even open! I can't drive sometimes so it isn't just convenience for me. The food for the money I spent was disgusting!! The Ceaser salad was topped with a ceaser dressing, which was a mayo-like consistency and it didn't even taste like caesar dressing. I'm in the processing of putting on 7 fake weddings for a Dinner Theatre event called The Wedding Show and we've been using Pasta Bravo for our catering. Gus is absolutely wonderful to work with! And the food has been exceptional! It's really been above and behind. Gus has been able to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions, everything is well labelled, hot and delicious. The homemade baguettes are fantastic. The portions are always perfect. I can't say enough good things about Pasta Bravo, Gus and his team. This is my family's favorite place in the area! Tucked away in Freeville, you would never guess this place would have such a delicious and well sourced menu! Fantastic Food and Service! You'd never guess from looking at the modest building, inside and out, but Gus makes delectable food, makes each meal to order, and serves it proudly with an artistic flair. We brought an elderly person with a walker, and he graciously came outside to help get her in the building safely! As we were eating, greatly impressed, we realized that there was something very special, and asked a few questions. As I suspected, the pita is made fresh right there, and he makes his own pasta sauces. Even makes his own blue cheese dressing. He checked with us unobtrusively several times during the meal, making sure we had what we wanted, and that everything was to our liking. I've now gone back a couple times. Especially outstanding dishes: Garden Salad (with Grilled Chicken or choose from other optional toppings.) Large size is a very large meal, or plenty to share with several people. Super fresh - we watched him chopping it up to order. Lots of variety of veggies, and very pretty. Gyro Pita. It's worth getting the discounted sides which come with it. It's more food than you think! Chicken Souvlaki Chick ala Greco. Totally delicious, but be wary if you are watching your salt intake, as the feta add quite a bit. Served with sprig of fresh basil, and very appetizingly prepared. You can get a discounted side or two with it. Recommend a side salad. Haddock is amazingly fresh, and cooked to perfection. Quite a few vegetarian and gluten free options. Might be the best baklava I've ever tasted! Lunch is a great time to go if you want not to be crowded in the small place, but be sure to make a reservation, to make sure he opens it. read more

Italian carry out isn't open on Tuesdays so I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the veggie special pizza and when the delivery person handed it to me, the box was already super soggy. The only reason it gets one star is because it won't let me do 0. I ordered a chicken Parmesan sub from here. First of all, it was a chicken nugget sub, with a bit of shredded mozzarella and some tomato pasty substance. While I did know the price and what it included, I expected the quality to make up for it. However, the chicken was dry- drowning in sauce, but unmistakably dry. The sauce was ok falvor wise (a little too bright for my taste) and it separated in my dish. There was a 1/2 puddle of tomato liquid at the bottom. Sauce should not do that. I'm disappointed. I was very disappointed with the food and service. We have ordered from Bravo's 3 times, and all three times the food arrived 30 minutes late. So it was a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes from order to receipt. As a result, the food was cold and the fries were soggy. The fries also tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. In the order we made several requests (No Italian dressing on the sub, a side of ranch, mayo on the burger), and all of it was forgotten. For $60 I expect much more than poor service, late delivery and cold food. The prices are steep, so it's not worth it unless you're dining in. Do not order for delivery. read more

The food was good but my 5 cheese Mac and cheese was lukewarm to cold. My fried haddock was delicious, the breading was light and cooked perfectly. There's not a lot of room but the staff is very friendly but overwhelmed with call in orders and then tables. No cocktails, so if you like wine or beer, or something else alcoholic no go yet I hope. I will end up giving them another chance because I think the food is worth it but I'll wait to see if they put some money into it. read more

Little gem hidden in Freeville. Visited when touring finger lakes, upon entering was greeted by friendly staff. Amazing range and lots of options. Food is very fresh and are mostly made to order. Owner of restaurant made sure we were satisfied as he made several changes to standard menu items to suit our requirement.
