We went to at least 10 other places looking for the right flooring. We walked in and talked with the sales rep and he took us to the exact flooring. He wrote up the contract that day. We signed the contract a couple of days later. Fast forward almost a month later and we were ready for the install. Called the store the day were were scheduled to have our flooring installed and was told by Andrea that we hadn't paid our full contract. We had the money when we signed the contract and paid the 1/2 fee and no one ever said it had to be paid for before they would install even though we dealt with Andrea on this. So, I gave my credit card. Andrea said that the flooring had been picked up by the contractors and would be at our place by 10:00. 10:00 came and went and I called. I was told that they were there. I told Andrea no they were not or I wouldn't have called. Andrea called me back and said that they would have someone there by 2:00. Great two man crew showed up and worked for a couple of hours. New crew showed up the next day and finished the floors. Then, that night the floor in the bathroom buckled. We called the next day 10/16 and told them that we needed the crew to come back and fix it. We wait until Friday then both my husband and I called and left messages. I found the number of the floor installer and it took until the following Tuesday to get the floor fixed. We love our floors and the crew did an amazing job. I am dropping this down to 4 stars because Desmond our original sales person never contacted us. Also because Andrea kept saying it was all Desmond's fault when we had dealt with her after our initial encounter with Desmond and she was the one that we signed the contract with and she is the one who took our money. read more

From my experience Carpet Exchange cannot be trusted with hardwood floor installations. When shopping for hardwood floors I explained that it was mandatory that we be moved into our new home by the end of may because our lease at our rental home was expiring. The new home was empty for all of May while repairs were being made. I selected Carpet Exchange to install the wood floors only after they repeatedly assured me that the installation would be completed in time to move in. I initially discussed the project with them on May 4th at the Arvada location. I paid a deposit on May, 10, 2013 by credit card and was again assured that installation would be complete in time to move in. The installation of the hardwood floors did not begin until May 28th. We were not able to walk on our floors until Sunday June 2nd. My family and pets had no where to go while the work was being performed. I had movers arranged for May 28th. I could not move anything into the home. Everything had to go into the garage. I had to pay movers a second time to move my possessions from the Garage to the house once we could walk on the floors. I cannot tell you how stressful the situation was. The job is still unfinished as of this date. Several air vent covers do not fit into the new wood floors. When I contacted the sales rep to in hopes expedite the job and recoup some of the added expense from moving that Carpet Exchange was directly responsible for they were unsympathetic, I was told "buyer be ware". You should be wary of purchasing any products or installation services from Carpet Exchange. read more

My wife and I bought a new home in Lakewood in September 2018, and Assistant Store Manager Jason Homer was instrumental in providing recommendations and working with us to re-floor approximately 2,000 square feet with high quality carpet and vinyl plank flooring. Re-flooring areas included 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. Jason was reliable and in close communication during the various stages of our project, which occurred over the course of approximately 2 months. Additionally, the laborers that Jason works with are professional, responsive, and responsible - fixing any issues that they may cause during the course of their work. Carpet Exchange had a vinyl floor covering that I had loved for years and I thought was no longer made. When I described it to the Sales Lady, she took me right to the sample book and I was thrilled to find it still available! The installers were fantastic--they arrived exactly on time and the floor was expertly installed. It's been a month since my new Kitchen floor was laid and I have received numerous compliments. I love the floor and I appreciate Carpet Exchange for the excellent service. (PS: The installer, Steven, gave me tips to maintain the floor--be sure to heed his advice! That time I had kitchen flooring installed as part of a remodel. This time I replaced carpeting in a basement den and bedroom. I recently bought carpet for a house I was getting ready to sell, and found Jason at the Carpet Exchange on Wadsworth near I-70. He was absolutely wonderful. Extremely helpful, thoughtful about how to find the best solution, able to give me great recommendations and really worked with me on my time schedule. Over the last 15 years, I have purchased an entire house of carpeting, two versions of flooring for my kitchen and waterproof flooring for my bathroom all from Carpet Exchange. I have not been disappointed. Recently I have had to put down some trim pieces between flooring and carpeting as the carpet has frayed along the edge over the years. Carpet Exchange did a great job installing a Marmoleum floor in my kitchen and an adjoining bathroom. Andrea was very knowledgeable about this brand of flooring, and she herself did the measuring and planned out the project. The product is somewhat unusual, and Chris had experience with the special requirements needed for installation. He did all the prep work and demolition, installed the floor, and was very meticulous about clean up afterwards. The results were fantastic! Excellent knowledge - Jason asked lots of questions to find out exactly what we were looking for in the way of carpet (use, cleaning schedule, appearance, etc). And then when he came and measured, he gave us a hint about prepping the floor (we're doing a remodel) that saved us buying lots of extra carpet by extending the tile space a few inches. I have found most companies will sell you whatever you want to buy but not give you much info about what you are buying and how it will perform. I have to take my hat off to Dan and Rose. I needed carpet in a rental within a week, after I had problems with Home Depot who said it would take 3 weeks. The estimater was there the next day and the carpet was installed on time and cleaned up after the install. I got a better grade of carpet, less yardage per estimate from Home Depot, saved over $600 and will call them for all of my flooring needs.
