Yes- I am referring to the proprietor of Blue Streak Chocolates as an artist. I've purchased from her multiple times but forgot to take pics. Almost did the same today. In a nutshell these are hand crafted artisan chocolates! Everything I have tasted has been amazing. This is grown up deliciousness. My current favorite is the Trifecta perfection. Why a pic of the wrapper? I had sliced a piece off to enjoy before writing this review. Four pieces to be precise. Turned around and my husband had grabbed some and left one piece so I grabbed it! The trifecta is a beautiful balance of layers of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, salted caramel, marshmallow and peanut butter milk chocolate dipped in dark chocolate. I could taste and savor every layer. What makes these chocolates so good is they are not overly sweet. You can taste the flavors without being overwhelmed or so sugared out. Unfortunately, the prices are also larger than other, similar shops in the area (Carousel in Snoqualmie, for example). There's more stock here, as a result of its size, and it's collection is arguably better curated and more stylish than most, depending on your taste. It's the kind of place my wife and I would love to shop, if things were a bit more affordable, but YMMV. Still, Birches Habitat is definitely worth checking out for the style-conscious consumer, and absolutely the best boutique in North Bend! You may find better deals at the outlet mall, but you're not likely to find anything as swanky!
