Chickpea tuna sandwich and mushroom soup
    Greta S.

What a wonderful surprise to arrive for a late late lunch and get to listen to poetry reading!! The chickpea tuna sandwich was yummy... I would order that again and again. The latte with oat milk was very nice and the mushroom soup was fabulous. I should note, everything we ate was vegan!

This place is so good! It's an adorable little vegan place tucked into historic downtown. The food was amazing, I had a sandwich and my bestie had the classic breakfast. We could bring our dog, which we always love!!! The service was well paced, especially for sitting outside in January!

The Black Dog is such a charming little café, and the best part? Everything is 100% vegan! They offer a great variety of options, from savory dishes to delightful vegan desserts. What's even better is their support for the local community with student music recitals, open mic nights, and more--such a nice touch. We tried a couple of sandwiches, quesadillas, and the pumpkin bar for dessert. Everything was delicious, but the pumpkin bar was the real standout--absolutely loved it! If you're looking for a cozy spot with tasty vegan food and a community-focused vibe, The Black Dog is definitely worth a visit.

Sorry, I ate it before a pic but the to go package says it all.

Service is so warm and inviting. The eclectic atmosphere makes for a fun conversation. I had the Reuben Salad, a deconstructed vegan Reuben Sandwich. It totally hit the spot with lots of flavor, will be having again. Leaving me refreshed and light for my walk through Snoqualmie. This is a unique, lovely place to relax your soul.

On a Monday, the downtown area of Snoqualmie is pretty dead, but leave it to this business to be open. The off day apparently is their most successful. It sounded kind of sad, but an all vegan restaurant is not exactly appealing to most. Vegan American food, as in, full of chemicals. The restaurant has shifted to a completely vegan model as I did note their few meat option from earlier menus were no longer present. I ordered the least chemically induced item in the form of the Pita with Hummus and fresh veggies. This was incredibly fresh and still very filling. Hummus all day, ev'ry day! The shop is charming and filled with antique furniture and knick knacks. Food took AWHILE to get to us and we were in a hurry. Definitely not my first choice and despite the wait, they came in pretty clutch for being one of the few businesses open for a much needed lunch break.

I felt like I walked into a cafe in Austin, TX in the mid nineties. It's super artsy, kitschy, and has a very cool vibe. Lots of space to chill out, do some reading or writing, have a drink or some vegan grub. I had a chai, and my son had an Italian soda, both were a hit. The service was great. They are very kind and attentive. I realize this is not for everyone, but I gave it five stars for being a unique gem with a positive, creative vibe.

Beetroot soup with a hint of dill

I've lived in the Snoqualmie Valley some 22 years and somehow never managed to eat at the Black Dog. Usually due to the crowds at various live music events. But today, managed to grab lunch and now I am wondering why it took so long. Missus had the beetroot soup - a rich creamy soup with magnificent texture and hint of dill. The creaminess was due entirely to the well puréed beets, as it had just a hint of actual cream. The included bread was toasted perfectly and thick. Really a great soup! My BLTA had vegan bacon but guess what - it worked! Paired with fresh avocados and on toasted fresh bread, it was fresh and hearty. Drinks were two well executed lattes. Service was prompt, friendly and not at all slow. It won't be long before we return.

My friend and I stopped in here for a lunch after looking at the falls and we were not disappointed. We were so happy to find a vegan-friendly restaurant in Snoqualmie. We decided to split a soup, salad, and sandwich. The caesar salad was just what we wanted- it was fresh, cold, crunchy, and tasty. The BLT was also super yummy. The sandwich was served with chips and fruit. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The decor inside is so charming as well. Next time I make a trip out to Snoqualmie I will definitely be back here!

After a visit to North Bend, and Snoqualmie Falls, we found ourselves dining outside at The Black Dog Cafe. It's on Railroad Ave just across from the enormous 100 year old trees and a vintage train. This place is a local treasure-- if I lived in Snoqualmie, I'd frequent it regularly. In normal times (pre & post covid) it hosts local musicians in a living room type back room. Lots of cool things to buy upfront. I had The Bing Crosby-- a yummy sandwich of turkey, havarti, avocado and tomato on homemade bread. Served with Tim's Cascades and fruit. My wonderful companion said her quiche was, "Mighty tasty." We chose it randomly, but it was just the vibe we needed.

I had the Bang Bang and it was delicious!!! The blend of the cheese, mayonnaise (vegan?), vegetables, and deli was perfect! The chips that was included was also a perfect blend. The other thing about this was the bathroom. They are gender neutral and very clean. I love the country feel of the entire environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The other thing I loved about this place was that the meals were healthy! I'm always looking for healthier options in the menu and everything check that box. Not a heavy meal for me but it hit the spot! Definitely recommend this place to stop by.

I've seen my daughter cry over some of the things said in the studio by these students. You can tell walking into the studio that there is a very entitled and rude energy. There are good teachers that have good intentions, but the owner is absolutely rude and entitled just like her kids. Do not send your children here. All you'll be doing is spending thousands to put your kids into unneeded drama and a negative environment. For the amount that they preach being kind to one another, those students are incredibly rude.

Large screens on each side of the front stage as well as both of the sides were a major bonus for those seated towards the middle or back of the ballroom. I will say the fees charged on top of the ticket prices are quite hefty. It also doesn't make sense that those fees are not refunded in the event the hosts cancel the shows. You are allowed to pick the tickets up at will call. Glow in the dark props/sticks and bottled water are sometimes handed out to guests prior to entering the venue subject to availability. If you join the Snoqualmie Casino Crescent Club rewards program, I believe you will receive 20% off event tickets if you purchase them onsite at the casino and not online. What a difference 40 years makes…read more I was at the Salish Lodge on a business trip for a week in 1989, and it was one of the most lovely experiences I've ever had. By the end of the first day, every valet and front desk person knew all of us by name, and they bent over backward to be helpful and treat us like valued guests even though we were working an event and weren't the ones paying for the rooms. (Our company had bought out the entire lodge, which was much smaller at the time.) All the guest rooms at that time faced the river and had a beautiful view of it. Not so anymore, as they've renovated the lodge and many rooms have either no view or a view of trees (definitely beautiful) but not the river. The latter was our experience. There was a tiny glimpse to be had if you peered far off to the right, but otherwise our view was the trees. This was disappointing simply because we didn't know the place had been added on to and now had non-river view rooms. My husband, who had given me this trip as a Christmas present, was very disappointed and asked if there were any river view rooms available instead. Sure -- for $700. (No thanks.) We stayed in our $400+ tree view room instead, but honestly, this room is about $250 overpriced. For that price, one would expect everything to be in perfect condition, plus a large-ish room. Not the case in ours. It's smaller than the size of a standard La Quinta or Comfort Inn type of room, has no dresser or drawers to unpack your clothes (unless you remove the iron from the 6"x6" drawer it's stored in), and the "closet" is an IKEA-like unit in the entryway of the room. There's a fireplace, a TV, and a small desk, plus two chairs crammed into the corner, and a narrow balcony outside to listen to -- not see -- the river. The bathroom has a shower with two rain-style shower heads, so bring something to cover your hair if you don't want to drench it every time you shower. (The hotel doesn't provide shower caps -- only a small bottle of lotion and some Q-tips and a make-up removal wipe that doesn't remove makeup. It's just to keep you from getting it on the white towels.) As to the room's condition -- There are lamps on each side of the bed. Mine had a wonky switch that had to be jiggled just so in order to work. It's supposed to be dimmable, but mine was either on or off. There is also a reading light built into the headboard. Mine didn't work. Also, water was shooting out the side of one of the shower heads where it connects to the pipe in the wall. I did tell the front desk the next morning, and they offered to move us to another room. I didn't want to have to pack up all my stuff and move to another room that may have had less of a view than we already had, so I told them we were leaving for the day and asked that someone come in to fix the issues. They did, but about six hours after I put in the request, my husband received a text asking when it would be convenient for them to come in. Needless to say, communication between the staff isn't great. As of this writing (getting ready to check out on Day 4), now the fireplace isn't working. It stopped last nigh
