I normally don't leave negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. I placed my order in advance and picked it up on Saturday. I specifically ordered a mix of carnitas, buche, and cueritos. When I got home, I realized my order only contained carnitas. On Sunday, I called the restaurant to let them know what had happened. I wasn't calling to argue I simply wanted to inform them that my order had not been prepared correctly and to understand how situations like this are usually handled. Unfortunately, the owner was very disrespectful throughout the conversation. Instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue, he repeatedly asked, "What do you want me to do?" When I calmly asked what their usual process was for handling order mistakes, he became even ruder and ultimately hung up on me. Everyone makes mistakes, and I understand that. What disappointed me was not the incorrect order, but the lack of professionalism and respect when I tried to address the issue. Customer service is just as important as the food, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business. read more

There carniceria is very good, butchers are very knowledgeable and friendly, the food side is bomb and so are there salsas. Lady's at register are very nice and helpful. They have great ranchera preparada but be careful with your debit card you'll get fraudulent charges from here. Please use cash! My credit union called me to warn me not to use my card here. Also , they follow you around when you shop too. It's rude to treat patrons this way ! I have lots of friends and family who come here. I will warn them of these tactics. read more

Came here for the first time based on Yelp reviews and this place did not disappoint!! The carne asada and marinated chicken were so delicious and very well seasoned! This woman that is handling the cashier must be the worlds rudest WITCH of them all!!! First of all if you know that we are dealing with a virus that can be passed on easily especially with saliva why in the hell would you think its okay to lick your damn fingers and then try to touch my groceries!! No!!!! I politely asked this witch to please sanitize her hands before touching my stuff as she was eating her damn icecream bar. This is the spot for meat. I don't care who owns it (Armenian or Mexican) nor do I care people are complaining it's overpriced. The marinated carne asada is the best in town: PERIOD! Good meat isn't cheap and cheap meat isn't good. The marinated chicken is almost as good however my only gripe is the chicken isn't trimmed enough for my liking. I realize the fat helps seal in the flavor but if I'm buying marinated meat I want it pre-trimmed because you are paying by the pound. Beyond that you can walk in, buy some meat for a tailgate, get a burrito for the road and have a couple of Mexicans Cokes to boot. A carniceria not too far from Mike's house. I was drooling when we walked in. You can smell the aroma of the Carne Asada/Carnitas from the parking lot. They have a prepared food counter (Carnitas, Ribs, beans, rice, Chicarron), groceries, and other Mexican goodies (snacks, sodas, tortillas). A really small, authentic carneiceria. If you feel like picking up stuff to throw on the grill, this is the spot. If you're hungry like a rabid wolverine, just buy something that's already made and eat at the counter. FYI, don't even THINK about taking your shopping cart out of the store. We got scolded for trying to smooth talk our way into just taking it to the parking lot with no luck. :/ read more

Love this place been going here for years religiously. I still drive out from the oc just to get some fresh ceviche and some bomb ass carne asada. The meat is thin and flavorful, they also have a variety of grocery items at this market. Bummed that they still don't hold a liquor license. Found this place here on Yelp! My usual spot for ranchera preparada (Carne asada) was driving to Whittier and buying it from La Venadita. Yesterday I tried this place out and price was $6.99/lb. which isn't too bad comparing what it usually runs for which is $7.99-$8.99/lb. It tasted so bomb and no fat. the meat tore apart easily and my entire family really enjoyed it. I found my new spot and relatively much closer distance than driving to Whittier. I did also buy their guacamole but was not satisfied because it was way too watery. Their boneless chicken was also tasty and their marinate was very delicious. Great find read more

I go to this carneceria all the time. The carneceros are great. The food passes. I would recommend eating at restaurant if you want to sit and enjoy your meal. There is no room there. You either eating a counter high bar or standing up. Beans always lack salt. I recommend eating here if you have to buy some groceries and have a fast bite. read more
