Our wait staff was friendly and helpful, setting up high chairs on the patio and arranging things so we had a good amount of space. Menu was quite diverse and I got the Alfredo pasta with Cajun shrimp. It was a good value portion wise and thankfully, my picky toddlers liked the pasta. But I had to steer clear of feeding them the shrimp because it had a mild kick to them. I also got a bourbon julep which was light and refreshing, perfect for a warm summer day. read more

We were here during the week. The wait was about 20mins so I would out your name on the list before the hanger hits. They take your number and text you when its your turn. We sat outside and they have heaters so you dont freeze. The wait staff were all super kind and attentive. Our food came out in a reasonable time frame. My hubs confused himself he ordered the chicken fried chicken thinking it was fried chicken. Its a cutlet thats pounded breaded and fried served over mashed potatoes with gravy. He was dubious at first but decided he really liked it. I had the turkey Cobb sandwich. It was a little dry but, nothing a lil extra mayo couldnt fix. I reallllly liked the fries a lot. My mom found her sandwich too hard (the bread is crusty to start with and is also toasted. I wrapped mine in the lettuce that came with it) my dad enjoyed his chicken fried chicken as well. The dining here while very crowded, did not feel too bad once seated. I do live life with a service dog and she was able to fit comfortable under the table. 10/10 would eat here again. read more

The food is awesome and we enjoy eating here when we visit. The chili is particularly good and is "Walt's fave recipe." The service is always prompt (with a reservation) - walk up can be a wait... The appetizers are the stars of the show here with both the chilli and potato soup hitting the right spots on a cool night. The mains are your typical burgers served in different ways, but if there is still portions available, definitely go for the beef stroganoff. Service, like the rest of Disneyland restaurants is impeccable with prompt and courteous service throughout the meal. So what's the real reason for coming? Shocked by how much I enjoyed this restaurant and the experience! This restaurant is located along Main Street, and if you sit outside you can enjoy seeing everyone walking along the street. The cafe had old-school decor with striped umbrellas and beaded lamps. I ordered the Braised Short Rib (substituted the mashed potatoes for additional vegetables) and it came out steaming! I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this meal was, especially when the menu mostly consisted of sandwiches. The beef was super moist, and could be easily cut apart with a fork - no knife needed! The staff was also fantastic. We were seated about 5 minutes after our reservation time, and were often checked on. Our waiter also kindly turned on the outdoor heater for us once the sun started to go down. The only reason I am docking a star is due to the limited menu. If you are not in the mood for a sandwich or salad, there are not a lot of options to choose from. read more

Giving Carnation Cafe only 2 stars today - for SERVICE ONLY!!! This is out "go to" place wen at the park, sometimes twice a month. The food was delicious: Salmon for me and Cobb Salad for hubby. The service by our server, Alyssa, was not good at all. It took almost 15 minutes AFTER we were seated for our drink order to be taken, and we ordered the fried pickles at the same time. Our pickles arrived and we we finishing our first pickle BEFORE our drinks arrived . We then ordered our entree's and they arrived in a timely manner, piping hot and delicious. Alyssa came by ONLY ONCE to see how we were doing. The other server's, the bus people, etc. made sure our drinks were topped off and plates cleared after our meal. Took more than 10 minutes for another server, Maryanne, to get our bill and take off our discount. I handed her my credit card, and it seemed like she was gone forever with my card (my hubby said it was 9 minutes, he was timing her) before bringing it back for me to sign. For the longest time, I've dreamt about coming to Carnation Cafe. I've heard so much about the magic of this place. My girlfriend finally took the initiative and managed to make a reservation. But when the time finally came, my dreams were crushed. We're vegan, so we got the allergy-friendly version of the Mickey-shaped Waffles. It was disappointing! The waffles are just too dry, crumbly, and had the gluten-free taste. In fact, it didn't really taste like waffles. But I appreciate that they included vegan/plant-based butter and syrup. Also, the potatoes were nicely seasoned and pretty delicious. We were seated outdoors but there is also indoor seating available. Like with many of Disneyland's dining areas, the tables were crammed together. A friendly server took our order and they were knowledgeable about the vegan options. We came to Carnation Cafe as our first restaurant at Sweethearts nite! We all tried a bit of everything & I have a few favorites: the fried pickle + the fried provolone. The fried provolone was perfectly crispy and tasted SOOO yummy + paired nicely with the flavorful marinara sauce. My other fav was the fried pickle -- I would litcherally only come here just for that LOL it was so perfectly crispy ! I was lucky enough to try Carnation Cafe during my last Disney visit! My friend was able to make a reservation and I finally got to try the famous Mickey-shaped waffle. I definitely recommend making a reservation well in advance since it is packed every day. Carnation cafe is right on Main Street and it has a wonderful ambiance. We were seated outside under an umbrella-covered table where we had a nice view of Main Street. Service was awesome. Their staff is attentive and friendly. The Mickey-shaped waffle was not only super cute but delicious as well. It had powdered sugar on it and came with maple syrup and butter. You are also able to choose bacon or sausages as your side. I chose the sausages and a side of two scrambled eggs. The eggs were not my favorite. I thought they had an interesting texture and lacked some flavor. I added some Tapatio and that helped. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the sweet cream cold brew. It could have used a bit more sweetness and flavor. Imo there are better options for coffee at Disneyland. Got a reservation for 10:20am on Sunday. Ordered the Mickey Waffle ($17), Breakfast Skillet & Veggie Skillet. Both skillets were so yummy! Very flavorful and not too overly salty. We had to get the iconic Mickey waffle but it's definitely not worth the $17 price tag. The pancakes have better value because you get a stack of 3 versus this one waffle. The orange cream soda was decent--it tasted like Fanta with whipped cream on top. It was enjoyable, but not quite the classic cream soda I was hoping for. The braised short ribs, on the other hand, were incredibly tender and flavorful, though they leaned on the salty side. They also have a standby queue but not guaranteed for dining in. The server was friendly and took notes of allergies. It did take a while to get refills on our beverages, but we got them. I ordered their braised short ribs and I'm not going to lie, this dish has gotten worse each time I've dined in. It was extremely salty. I suggest getting their parmesan burger! Towards the end of our meal, one of the servers spilled a whole tray of ice-cold drinks (Coke, Sprite, water, etc.) on me. Not only was I drenched in cold beverages at night, my belongings got wet, and I had a previous laceration on my finger which I had been careful not to get wet due to doctor's orders that was drenched from this incident. We asked for medical tape (that had gotten wet from being in my pocket), someone said they'd get a first aid kit, but we were just given gauze. After this happened, no servers came up to bring a towel, the server himself didn't come to apologize (only a "sorry bud" in passing 5 minutes later), and it took at least 15 minutes until we asked to see a manager to resolve the situation. I understand that accidents happen, but this was handled very poorly - it shouldn't take 15+ minutes for one of the staff to properly address the situation. After this conversation, our meal was partially compensated (to which we then had to speak up for again ), and a voucher to get a sweatshirt from the store, but it took 5 employees since the voucher seemed to only cover for one item. This whole time, I was shivering from the cold and was asked the story multiple times until it was finally resolved. This added to our frustration, as the issue should have been clearly communicated and handled seamlessly across locations. We were extremely disappointed with the way the incident was handled. In conclusion, I am extremely disappointed, upset, and embarrassed by the entire situation, The issue should have been clearly communicated and handled seamlessly across locations, I should have had a manager come to me within minutes, and I should not have been drenched while enjoying my dinner. I have not heard a response from Disneyland, and I hope this manager from Carnation Cafe/Main Street USA on 1/18/26 does not let this slide under the radar. When I got in for the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon in September 2024, I knew I had to book a reservation to Carnation Café! It's been years since I've had a chance to eat there again! My husband and I decided to book a reservation for 2:30 on a Saturday for lunch. Check-in process was a breeze! We checked in through the Disneyland mobile application and let the team know at the Carnation Café that we were ready. We ended up getting placed in outside seating, overlooking Main Street U.S.A. It was an extremely hot day outside, around 108! It was a heat wave in Anaheim California that week. Luckily, the team members at Carnation Café were constantly filling up our water cups and sodas with plenty of refills! Carnation Café Lunch hours are from 11:30 A.M to 3:55 P.M. Their lunch menu offers a wide range of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and plant-based options! I had to order the Parmesan Toasted Patty Melt. The Patty Melt had Monterey Jack, Grilled Onions on a Toasted Parmesan Sourdough Bread. I opted not to include the house sauce in the Patty Melt. French Fries were served on the side. My husband ended up getting Walt's Chili, which was topped with cheese, sour cream, chives, and a corn bread garnish. The food came out so quick! It was at our table within 15 minutes! Luckily, we got to watch the Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade go down Main Street U.S.A. The performances are typically between 1:45 P.M and 2:45 P.M daily! The Patty Melt was delicious! I couldn't finish it, but luckily my husband was still hungry after the Chili! The burger patty was juicy and so flavorful! The best part about the Patty Melt was the Toasted Parmesan Sourdough bread! The Sourdough was perfect and the toasted parmesan was so scrumptious on the Sourdough bread! I normally get Patty Melt's with Rye Bread and this was such a nice change! Food prices are between $15-$34.99 per adult for their lunch menu. The Carnation Café also offers breakfast and dinner options too! You could also reserve a dining experience around 8:50 and catch the fireworks, and the Main Street U.S.A lights! How: reservations are highly recommend and accessible directly on the Disneyland app. Walk-in's are welcome, but expect a 30-45 minute wait for those without reserved seating. What: we came here for lunch. The interior is reminiscent of a diner and the food are in generous portions. Our waitress was very patient and attentive. Our fountain drinks were refilled as our waitress continually visited our table. - The meal: * Baked potato soup: my friend enjoyed this creamy bowl of luscious soup. * Wedge salad: enough to be shared by two; fresh and simply delicious. * Carnation Burger: a gigantic burger with fries. Carnation Cafe is an absolute favorite of mine. This was our first time visiting on Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving day they have a turkey dinner option in lieu of their usual turkey club sandwich. The turkey was so juicy and delicious! The mashed potatoes are always the perfect texture. The green beans were prepared a little differently this time, they had red bell peppers mixed in, and it gave them a nice balance. My daughter ordered the chicken-fried chicken, which is my usual go-to. She loved it, the chicken was also juicy and perfectly fried, it was paired with the same green beans and mashed potatoes. Another Thanksgiving day special was the pumpkin pie, which I am not typically a fan of, but the crust was...different, in a good way. The crust of the pumpkin pie almost reminded me of the old school fried apple pie crust from McDonalds or the current offerings from Popeyes. Very good. We made advance reservations to have breakfast at Carnation Cafe. We were seated quickly, but noticed that all other tables that were seated after us were already getting drinks and orders taken, so we had to flag down the server. The cafe is a cute little spot, we were seated inside but there is also outdoor seating. The food was fine, some parts were better than others. I had the breakfast sandwich on the brioche bun. The bacon on it was delicious, thick and crispy. The egg was a little too much though. It was very thick and tended to be all that you could taste in the sandwich. As far as sit down restaurants at Disneyland, I'd say this is one of the better ones. We made reservations a couple days in advance and were seated about 5 minutes after checking in. Although it's busy, you still get a homey, old timey vibe inside. Food standouts were the crispy seasoned fries, thick potato soup, and fantastic lemon aioli on the turkey club. To be improved was the slightly undercooked chicken tender in the kids meal and the time it took to get the check after the meal.
