This is one of my favorite spots to eat at California Adventure park. It's located at avengers campus. You can order through mobile as app or in person. They're known for their food to come in big sizes. Their large pretzel was huge and it's definitely shareable for 4 people. Their taco salad is super refreshing and stacked with chicken and veggies. The fresh ingredients pair well with the crispy shell. Their nachos were so delicious. It's not your traditional nachos with several tortilla chips but it comes with 4 big pieces and it's packed on top. Their pasta is my favorite. It has a hint of spice to it. 1) Cookies & Cream Cold Brew 6.5/10 2) Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese 8.2/10 I want to start off by saying I'm not really into cold brew. It definitely wasn't bad. I did finish it, it's just not my usual go-to-drink but definitely not terrible. If you like cold brew, it's definitely one of the better tasting cold brews I've had. The Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese was good. I could have done without the garnishes on top, but it was fun and added a pop of color and texture. The tators were ok - not bad, but not very memorable either. Average. I enjoyed the grilled cheese more than I thought I would and that's probably why my rating is so high. Lol. As a science instructor, I LOVED the theming of this restaurant. I especially found it amusing to watch the pretzels shrink and grow on the conveyor belt they had on the ceiling. I also loved that their food varied in size and shape to fit the theme of experiments in a science lab! Service was relatively quick when I went on a Friday evening and then again on a Tuesday evening. I highly recommend trying the Proton Punch (non-alcoholic) or the Proton Potation (alcoholic) drinks! The fact that they came with a pipet and plastic beaker, respectively, really spoke to the nerdy science part of my heart. I also liked their Pepper Particle Pasta! Pym's Test Kitchen is usually my go-to for a quick bite and drink in DCA. It did started going downhill recently (2026) compared to 2022-2023. This is the perfect spot for a quick breakfast & lunch in DCA. They're located in Avengers Campus. Pym's Test Lab is the bar with fun alcoholic cocktails. Just like any other quick service, it can get extremely busy so mobile ordering ahead will be helpful. They only offer outdoor seating; no indoor seating. Finding an open seat can be a challenge on peak days. Cast members are quick & efficient, and they're on top of assisting with emptying trays. They offer American dishes that are Ant-Man themed, hence its name. The Calculated Breakfast is my favorite dish before starting the day. The Quantum Pretzel is my favorite thing to share. The Not-so-little Chicken Sandwich is my favorite dish bc the chicken is crispy & seasoned well. They offer seasonal dishes that can be a hit or miss. Skip the Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese. Their seasonal cold brews are sweet. The alcohol at Pym's Test Lab is strong & sweet! I noticed portion sizes have gotten smaller with increased prices. I hate how greedy they've gotten. Smh. We've had lunch here multiple times and have always liked our meals, and decided to try breakfast here today. It's odd to me how few food spots serve breakfast (or even open before 10:30am) yet the parks are open so early. My husband had the chilequiles and said it the portion was good for the price, but the chips were a little soggy. The latter part was odd because we waited 5-10 for the food after it was preceded, so I thought we were getting a fresh batch. He paired it with a beermosa, which is what it sounds like. It's served in a plastic cup you can keep if you want to (a measuring cup with a spout, basically). I wasn't a fan of the drink - beer and OJ? Gross, lol. I had the egg/bacon/tots meal and liked everything. It came with this weird mini toast, which just tasted like white bread, yet the red circles in it were slightly sweet. My only critique is that the eggs are served on top of a piece of paper, so you'll want to eat those first or I suspect you'll get paper bits in your bites. With AP discount, everything was $39 after tax, which we thought was a great deal for a meal at the parks with decent portions. read more

I came super hungry, so I thought everything tasted amazing. My favorite was the Humongous Taco Salad. Loved everything in it, so every bite was tasty and delicious. The Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese was a little too rich and heavy for me. The tots had good seasoning to them though. My favorite cold brew at Disneyland/California Adventure is the Cookies and Cream Cold Brew. 10/10! The Cold Brew Black Caf at Galaxy's Edge was previously my top choice. I visited Pym Test Kitchen during LNY celebration at DCA mainly for their Spicy Pork Belly Grilled Cheese. It was my first time and this science lab theme restaurant really impressed me with their ambiance and decoration, love the Marvel and Ant-Man theme so much. I don't see any indoor seating but they do have a spacious patio with tables and chairs. The portion here is enormous, supersized food likes the pretzel or not so little chicken sandwich that is definitely sharable. The line was not so long but I did waited for a good 20 minutes before placing my order with the cast member - who was friendly and efficient but was only by herself at the moment. So, totally recommend place your order ahead of time through the app. Waiting time in line was quite long but my order was ready under 10 minutes, I got Spicy Pork Belly Grilled Cheese with Tator Tots and Proton Potation (Vodka, Lemonade and Grenadine with Cherry-flavored Popping Spheres) for drink. The grilled cheese was pretty good in flavor, it was savory and spicy, loaded with pork belly, but really really oily, I gave up after 2 bites. Meanwhile, the Tator Tots have a really nice crunchy texture to it, very crispy and tasty, I really like it. The Proton Potation was just okay, I personally doesn't feel there is a lot of alcohol in it but the cherry popping boba's taste was artificial. Should have asked for the straw or spoon because I ended up wasting 80% of the popping boba after I finished the drink. Overall, I really like the concept but my experience at Pym Test Kitchen for LNY special food item was just okay. We stopped at Pym Test Kitchen for breakfast while visiting Disney California Adventure. We tried the chilaquiles and the Calculated Breakfast. The chilaquiles were just okay. The chips were a bit soggy, which took away from the dish, although I did expect it wouldn't be super authentic. The eggs were good, and the pickled onions on top were actually really tasty and added nice flavor. The bacon was very thin and a little greasy. The Calculated Breakfast was good and we enjoyed it, but it wasn't anything overly exciting. Overall though, the service was nice and the ambiance is always fun and themed really well. We still love visiting California Adventure, and Pym Test Kitchen is a convenient and interesting place to stop while exploring the park. read more

Watched a show at the patio!! Yay. So awesome. The Korean spicy pork grill cheese sandwich is yummy but a bit salty. It rained and Disneyland is less crowded. But 1/4 of the patio is wet. Space is not usable. Luckily we found a table which is impossible when it usually doesn't rain. Staff wiped the water off the tables mostly but still wet. Get some paper towels yourself. read more

Pym's Test Kitchen's current menu has some good options for both breakfast and lunch/dinner. I had the Recalculated breakfast as well as the kids Subatomic chicken. Even tho it's a "kids meal" I found it enough to tide me over (won't fill you up if you're hungry). Order windows can get pushed especially in the morning. I ordered around 9am with the first window opening being 9:55 (time to get on another ride). Also treated myself to a Beer Mosa which was pretty solid. Had the Quantum Pretzel, obviously lots of carbs but there was also lots of salts so we were thirsty all day at the park. Pym Test Kitchen was a letdown. The "giant taco" isn't really a taco at all, it's basically a cold, bland salad awkwardly folded and mislabeled. No salsa. The pasta was equally bland, no flavor payoff at all. On top of that, there's very limited shade, most of those seats are occupied by exhausted guests, not diners which makes an already disappointing meal even less enjoyable. Pimp's test kitchen is an awesome place in the Marvel area of Disneyland and the best part about eating in this area is that you get a show with your meal there's always Marvel characters flying around great great themes, movie score scores playing it's awesome. Pleasantly surprised by the Pym kitchen during my last visit. Was not super hungry but as I walked up I noticed that the food at the tables were oddly shaped and in some cases, huge. Ordered the pretzel and the chicken sandwich that ended up being incredibly good. The pretzel was gigantic and I was so impressed that it was not dried out or flavorless. It was actually perfect and I loved it so. The chicken meat was like a flat shoe tread but again, it was not dried out and crispy on the outside. Going along with the theme of the restaurant, the bread was just normal sized so the meat extended way past the bun. Tater tots were crispy and well cooked, really enjoyed it all. With a handful of Disney Key Passes, I've now brought the family back here to the Magic Kingdom enough times where we can branch out and try new restaurants at the parks. Pym Test Kitchen has been on my radar ever since it had opened along with the Avenger's Campus. But, bringing lunch with us for our visits, plus our penchants for table service, kept us from trying it out until now. First off, the interior is kitschy, giving your wait in line a bit of light fun. There's an overhead conveyor belt that ferries a rail toward a 'size-altering' machine where regular sized pretzels go in one side and either tiny or giant ones come out the other. From there, you order and move up to the counter where your food is served on trays touting that your fare is a favored recipe of Ant Man himself. The menu is limited, allowing for preparation of ingredients ahead of time for quick assembly and serving; a common technique here at Disneyland and DCA. I had the Not-So-Little Chicken Sandwich. The chicken itself was smaller than as it appears on the menu, but still very tasty and enough to satisfy an appetite fueled by a full day at the park. It was crispy, juicy, and well sauced. The slaw on top was fresh, crunchy, and the vinegar helped cut through the fat of the chicken and glazes. All-in-all, I found it to be a very tasty dinner. My wife and mother both opted for the Humongous Taco Salad, essentially a giant chicken taco served in a fried, flour tortilla shell. Neither of them liked it as much as they hoped they would. I liked the flavor of the chicken and most of the vegetables, but the lettuce was a tad on the wilted side. And while I didn't find the chipotle ranch on top to be spicy, it will likely be too much for anyone not used to heat. My son opted for the Pepper Particle Pasta. He ate it all without complaint. My daughter did the same with most of her Subatomic Chicken Sandwich. Last, we shared a Choco-Smash Candy Bar; a very cute, cake-sized dessert shaped and tasting like a giant Snickers. It was rich, chocolatey, and very good. On the bad-side of things, they have one of those drink machines that squirts 100+ soda flavors out of a single spigot. This causes mixing of random drinks if you're not carful, making some acrid combinations you won't realize you've made until you sit back down. In the end, I think I enjoyed Pym's Test Kitchen a bit more than the rest of the family. It's doubtful I'd be able to sway the vote into coming back. But, if you're hungry and looking for an easy meal, this spot can definitely satisfy. ---------- And for the Disneyland Reviews List: Taste - Or the Overall Flavor: * * * (and a half) Better than average. It's not going to wow like Carthay Circle. And nothing here is iconic, like the Monte Cristo at Blue Bayou. But, it's pretty good, quick to serve, and has a more diverse set of options when you're tired of the usual burgers and sandwiches you can find at similar restaurants around the park. Convenience - Of the Seating & Service Options: * * We came on a busy day in October, making the packed conditions at the restaurant very apparent. The tables were close together, the bar was almost shoulder to shoulder, and moving about was pretty difficult. To add to the chaos, the drink station, utensils, napkins, and condiment bar were all inside. This made constant trips from our table for refills and extra ketchup a bit of a hassle. Value - Will you walk away satisfied?: * * * * Every place in Disneyland is relatively over priced; the trick is to find food that will make you not want a snack two hours later, despite what you pay. Typically, paying around $10 per person is what you should expect, but still have a filling meal. You get quite a bit of food when you order. Even with inflation and tariffs rising costs across the board since COVID, I still feel that the price point here is relatively tame. Most people could probably split a standard entree here and be satisfied. And everyone else could spend $15 and not need anything more than a drink. Kid Factor - Is there entertainment for the young ones?: * * * * * You're in the middle of the Avenger's Campus. If your kid has seen any Marvel movie, they're more than likely going to be delighted to see Thor or Black Panther walk by. Spider-Man is around the corner for pictures. And Captain Marvel and Black Widow make regular meet and greets across the way. As a middle-aged man-child, I am thrilled at the future prospect of seeing X-Men '97 Storm, Gambit, or Rogue stop and wave as I eat. Yeah, there's entertainment to be found here. read more

After all the hype for the opening of Avengers Campus, I felt they could have done more with this themed land. Especially with the food. The little Shawarma place outside was a cute idea, but I feel Pym Test Kitchen is just alright. The menu has some appetizers, salads, sandwiches and breakfast on it. They also have beverages and alcohol. Everything has some sort of Marvel theme to it. But I feel the menu is lacking a little bit. The eatery itself is based off the Ant-Man and The Wasp movie where you are supposed to feel like you are in Hank Pym's laboratory encountering his shrink-and-grow Pym Particles. Pym Test Kitchen has curated such unique concept around "supersized food" that makes it even more ridiculous to see it hit by shrinkflation. Even just based on pictures from their own menu, you can see the "not so little chicken sandwich" has become a "kind of regular sized chicken sandwich". It's silly and much less filling than expected. I will say, the humongous taco salad was a refreshing break from the greasy park food and one of my favorite salads in the park so far (way better than Fillmore's groovy greens from Flos V8 and the hacienda salad from Rancho del Zocalo). As a cold brew fanatic, I can't get behind their cookies and cream cold brew. That chocolatey flavor is so artificial. Bring back the apple cold brew! Don't make the same mistake that I did (completely my fault) in regards to their 2 DIFFERENT chicken sandwiches. I mean, I've seen the films, "Ant-Man" and "Captain America: Civil War". I know that the blue disc enlarges items while the red disk shrinks items. Going with this theme: So the tricky part was: the menu board is digital, so it will change on you after awhile (it felt like 30 seconds to a minute). I love a good crisp on a chicken sandwich & the parts that are sticking out (not touched by the slaw + sauce) are exactly that. The slaw is not too vinegary, yet provides a nice, refreshing, cool, crisp contrast the warn, hearty chicken breast. The teriyaki & red chili sauces are not too sweet nor hot, yet provide the right savory balance that this sandwich demands. The Subatomic Chicken Sandwich + Quantum Pretzel (as your bread) = 9.0 / 10 Lastly...it's pretty much a tradition every time we go here: Choco-Smash Candy Bar - 9.0 / 10 It's literally like a kitchen sink candy bar: layers of dark chocolate, peanuts, caramel, nougat, and chocolate brownie. (The brownie is my favorite part.) Best shared amongst everyone in your group & party. Every time my group goes here, they usually just have one bite (which is more than enough for them to get that "sweet tooth fix") & I end up taking the rest home to enjoy for the next few meals. Granted, my tolerance for sweet has gone down drastically over the years, I need just the smallest bite. I take the rest home. Be forewarned, the "candy wrapper" that they serve this in is cut on both sides, so you'll need to improves a container if you indeed plan on taking the rest home, which I always do. Pym Test Kitchen can be found at the Avengers area at California Adventures. We stopped here after heading to Slinger ride. We saw the HUGE taco shell salad and decided to give it a try as well as a few drinks! The Proton Potation and a beer. We were not disappointed the chicken was tender and we'll flavored with a flaky taco shell. We got a side of ranch but it came with a sauce that was even better. Saw that this item was super popular, and so glad we got it! My mixed drink was delicious. I honestly thought it came with Boba and gave my husband one before he said it was liqour flavored. It was cherry flavored and sat in vodka, but they were refreshing and delicious too. Seating was a bit hectic as there seems like a lot of seats but there wasnt enough for how busy this place was, not to mention when it is sprinkling, everyone was trying to eat and not walk around with their drinks. read more

Apple cold brew was a little bit sweet but I like it. I could taste apple and apple caramel candy was good. Reactor melt was like margarita pizza and potato tots were very delicious garlic seasoning. Disney gives us paper straws. I hate it. The straw gets soggy and it doesn't work as it should after few minutes. Hope they change to plastic or something eatable straws. We could see the avenger's headquarter from the table. It is nice location. read more

The humongous taco was alright. It comes with chicken, lettuce, pico de gallo, and chipotle crema. Try slightly crushing the hard taco shell into smaller pieces to scoop out the filling like nachos. I shared this with a few other people. The caramel apple iced coffee sweetness level was overpowering. One of the cast members shared a pro tip to use the caramel apple lollipop to scoop out the apple cream and it tasted better that way. Ok so the soda machine was all messed up. After trying all four available soda machines, I realized they were all in fact spewing out non-carbonated drinks. I repeatedly got a flurry of dark brown syrup splotches in my watery "coke" before I got frustrated and asked for help. Received a refund after talking to like 4 different people.
