I originally gave 1 star because of the service provided by rick And greg brought it up to a three
These people want to scam you. I have NEVER been used so badly as i have been right now. I bought a 2009 dodge challenger and when i forst bought it i automatically had trouble. I didnt test drive the car which is definetly my fault, but one of the employees dod drive the car to get it smogged the day of my purchase.he said the car ran great, no problems, and that he was even "alittle bit jealous". Naturally i was stoked, i bought the car with an extended warranty which was over 2,000 dollars. 3 days later my esp/ bas light as well as my traction control light came on. I took it in top get it fixed and wasnt expecting to be charged because of my warranty, i also got a courtesy vehicle(which i had to fight for). This process of fixing my vehicle shouldve taken a day, 2 at max, right? HA! wrong it took over a week. After that my deductable was 250 dollars! For a sensor replacement! They kept my car so that the labor would rack up and then they could charge me the full 250 dollar deductable. I bit my tounge and moved pass this thinking they would be better next time..wrong again. My alternator died when i was on the highway a couple days ago..oh let me just remind everyone I HAVENT EVEN HAD THIS CAR FOR 6 MONTHS. I got a tow from tripple A and got it towed to the carmax that i got the car from..carmax in irvine. They didnt call me at all that day to tell me they had my car and that they were working on it, i had to call them several times at which no one answered and i had to leave a message (which takes over a day to respond) so i called financial next to service, had one of them transsfer me and thats when i talked to greg and he said my alternator and battery needed to be replaced. I asked how much and he said the alternator is covered by the extended warranty but the batter wasnt and that it would be alittle over 100 bucks, i thought to myself oh my god this is great! Im finally getting what i bought and im being treated professionally and kindly. Greg said he would call me later that day with an update on my car. This takes me to Rick, Rick seemed like a nice guy at first on the voicemail he left me, but turns out this is the worst car service employee i have ever come into contact with. Even at my old job, no one wouldve treated me as rudly as this guy. I had to call him several times leaving him voice mails back and forth to get my car settled. After i give the go ahead to a battery that was supposed to be alittle over 100 dollars i get a call saying that i owe 238 dollars and some change as well as for the alternator which is going to be 250 dollars thanks to my "extended warranty" which only covers you until your speedometer hits 150 thousand. In total i owed this company over 450 dollars, when i expected alittle over 100 dollars feom speaking to greg. I left a very rude message to rick because suprise suprise he didnt pick up, he then calls me probably 5 minutes if not less after leaving that voicemail (which is funny because how did u not hear my phone call) he them proceeded to tell me how i am wrong and that i was told the correct amount in the beginning and that he heard the conversation...this "guy" is yelling at me like a child over the phone saying that i was being super rude and i shouldnt be cursing at him...i said F Twice and neither of them were directed at him. I said this is F ing messed up as well as other things. He then had a HUGE and overwhelming ATTITUDE i felt like i was dealing with my 14 year old sister again.
One more thing is i looked up the carfax on my car and my car had been in a bad accident when the guy who was selling me the car said it was a small fender bender, no body damage. I was pissed and went to carmax to tell them and they said they wouldnt do anything about it...oh and i got my car windows tinted and my roof is being held up by zipties! I PAID OVER 14,000 DOLLARS FOR THIS! Carmax is a scam. Ive tried so hard to bend and adapt to their bullshit but this is just another ghetto ass car dealer. The only difference is that they have money. When we found out that the car was in a bad accident and the roof was ziptied and with all the things that have gone wrong we tried to sell the car back to carmax. It had 10,000 more miles on it and was only gone for like 4-5 months. They priced the car at 4,000 dollars.I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE read more
