I've been to Italy multiple times and grew up around Italian baking, and this is hands down the best frittelle I've ever tasted. Light, golden, and filled with vanilla custard, then finished with a dusting of powdered sugar, it was truly unforgettable. This is a real Italian bakery, and once you step inside, the space completely opens up--high ceilings, a beautiful interior, and a hidden, speakeasy feel you'd never expect from the street. The young man with blonde hair who helped me was so kind, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the bakery. It made the whole experience even better. The latte was perfectly done as well. Everything here feels high quality and thoughtfully made. I'll definitely be back. Thank you--support local.

Within ten seconds of walking in, I was greeted by Ama, who set the tone for the whole visit. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. She even let me sample different gelato flavors and suggested some great dishes to try on my next visit. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. The affogato here is on another level. Most places serve it in a paper cup where the espresso and gelato just blend into a mushy mess. Not here. Carrara's presents it beautifully on a stone tray, with a proper espresso cup and a transparent glass so you can actually see the layers of gelato and espresso. And Ama personally poured the espresso tableside, which really topped off the whole experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

It's a small, charming café with a cozy atmosphere, featuring old-school car collectibles displayed on a shelf that add a unique touch. They also offer outdoor seating where you can enjoy your desserts surrounded by lush greenery, natural foliage, and a peaceful little waterfall pond. The service was great as well, they were friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. suggested I definitely I ended up picking up a chocolate and hazelnut cake with an incredibly soft, spongy interior that was perfectly balanced and rich without being overwhelming. I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The rum babas were a standout: bite-sized, soaked in Jamaican rum, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with a raspberry. So flavorful and unique--each bite was indulgent without being too heavy. And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze. It was so rich and decadent that I had to slow myself down just to fully enjoy every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and worth the drive. I'd absolutely come back again.

We were greeted right away, and we let one of the people working there know we wanted to take a look around as it was our first time stopping in, which was okay. The shop itself was empty. We took a look at the ice cream selection, the full cakes, and then the pastries. Everything looked really good. We decided on a chocolate trilogia pastry and a red velvet pastry to go. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item. The service was great, but as a red velvet lover, the flavor was not as expected. I would potentially try again but would sample some other treats.

I would recommend people stay in the nearby hotel when they visit just for the easy access to this place. Love love loved the matcha the most! I got 2, one I drank there and one to go. For the baked goods, I got the pan de queijo and the cinnamon bun. To be honest, I wasn't super impressed with either of these items but I'm willing to try the others. The cinnamon bun was just too sweet for me and the pan de queijo was just very dry. I loved the outdoor seating, it was really relaxing. I went on a weekday morning and it wasn't crowded at all. Jess was great to work with and made an absolutely beautiful 50th anniversary cake for a party. We…read moreordered a 8 inch round cake and a half sheet for about 100 people. The cakes were supposed to serve 70 people or so. We ended up having quite a lot of cake left- the entire round cake and maybe an eighth or so of the sheet cake. The round cake was pretty hard to cut due to the height so I think we should have had the venue slice this first - sheet cake was a lot easier to pack back up and transport. That sort of made me wonder if I should have even ordered a round cake but it was definitely stunning and added a lot in terms of aesthetics and looked great in pictures. Jess was great to work with and did a great job checking in when needed. I ended up sending her a design for the round cake and she made something really lovely. She also found some gorgeous real flowers for the cake and sent me all the different options so I knew what to choose from. She even ended up adding some details to the sheet cake even though these are often left plain just for serving. We had discussed not wanting the cake to be too sweet and I think it was probably a bit too sweet still for myself and most guests. The actual cake itself was perfect in terms of texture and also flavor and sweetness and was so much better than most if not all cakes I have had. However the buttercream texture wasn't my favorite and I found it to be a bit sweeter than expected. I also wanted there to be a lot more triple berry butter cream/berry flavor. Some of the issue was also deciding to add a white chocolate layer (our suggestion so definitely on us) which didn't help the texture or flavor. Ultimately a solid cake and the vanilla bean cake itself was pretty spectacular. If I order again in the future, I would just discuss ways to make the outside buttercream less intense and find ways to incorporate more of the fruit flavors of the berry buttercream filling. A bunch of guests did ask me about the cake and say they enjoyed it so that was good. I did shop around a small amount and the prices were competitive. I had a very positive experience overall. The cakes were also easy to pick up and well packaged - if you have some kind of large flat surface like a foldable seat or back of an SUV you should be good. I would definitely order again for a party but probably would opt for even fewer portions and would make those notes about the flavors.

I found this spot online and headed over and Im glad I did. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the owners, husband and wife team who immediately made me feel welcome. They were eager to walk me through the menu, offered great suggestions, and were incredibly patient while my brain was still waking up at 9am lol. Their kindness and humor made me feel right at home. This place also feels homey. If you take a moment to look around, you'll notice the personal touches such as the artwork, photos, and thoughtful details that tell a story of their family. Okay Now to get to the good stuff the drinks and bites are stellar, here's what I got: I finally found a seriously addicting chai here in the 805. I'm very picky about chai, so when Robin insisted "you're trying this" so I listened and I'm so glad I did haha. Freshly brewed, no artificial flavors, perfectly spiced. I think I would dub this one of the BEST chai's I've ever had. 10/10. Their classic breakfast bites hit the spot too. I had a breakfast sandwich with crispy bacon and a fresh egg. Simple but good. I'd get this again but also would be open to trying some of their other bites. 8/10. The handmade bakery section here was unreal. The apple pastry I ordered was pure nostalgia and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more of their daily baked goods. The selection was huge and lots of different options to try. I think their passionfruit pastry will be calling my name next time. Lastly I leave you with a Fun fact: if you're a football fan or into chess, this is your cafe.
