I was shopping around for a new car audio system for my 10 year old car. The dealer wanted more than double the price for installing an old technology. So I went around getting a few quotes. When I called Car Audio Express, I spoke to Bash and he asked me some questions about my car and then he put together a quote with options, all reasonable. He was very responsive by email and answered my questions. I made my deposit and made the appointment and brought the car in. Dropped the car off for half the day. He was also very responsive throughout the day and letting me know the status of the car and eventually when it was done. When I went to pick up the car, he also connected my phone to the audio. He even kept the old system and gave it back to me. I would definitely recommend this place if you knew anything for your car audio. 5 stars! read more

Amazing experience getting a dash cam hardwired into our BMW! My boyfriend came in for the install, and the entire process was smooth and seamless from start to finish. Bash was incredibly responsive and helpful while answering all of our questions and scheduling the appointment. The installation itself took about two hours, and everything works perfectly. The price was fair as well. Bash was patient, kind, professional, and very knowledgeable both over text and in person. Very clear that he genuinely cares about doing quality work and making sure customers feel good throughout the process. We're extremely happy with the experience and would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for dash cam or electronic installations. We'll definitely be coming back for any future electronic work! 5/5 experience. read more

I entered the shop to have an aftermarket CarPlay unit installed and was warmly greeted by Bash. He was very knowledgeable and gave me a fair quote about the cost of installation. The entire installation only took 3 hours so I went to grab a bite while I waited. After eating, I received a text saying that my car was ready! The installation was completely professional and I was able to retain all OEM/stock functions on my Lexus. I will certainly be coming back here for my future dash cam and stereo upgrades. Certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for a seamless install for any CarPlay or audio related modifications! read more

Car Audio Express - Amp setup - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - San Jose, California

Bash and the installers here are top notch on all fronts -- technical knowledge, prompt communication, professionalism, and care for the vehicle. I had a somewhat quirky setup in my 2015 VW Golf that involved a no longer supported dash kit with built in menu features to retain the OEM interface to things such as units, time, etc. Getting this to work with a modern radio is non-trivial but Bash and the team went above and beyond to make it all work -- all my steering wheel controls work perfectly, along with the updated hi-def camera that they installed. I can't say enough good about them and I will definitely come here the next time I need any car audio upgrades. read more

I was referred to Car Audio Express by a few of my car enthusiast friends and was definitely not disappointed! I worked with Bash to get some sound deadening installed in my GR Corolla, and he was super helpful, thorough and patient in answering and explaining everything to make sure I was fully informed before we moved forward with the installation. The best part about these guys is that their prices are extremely reasonable and they definitely deliver! read more

Getting back into car audio after many years felt like stepping into a completely new world. The technology, the integration with modern vehicles, and factory-tuned systems have changed the game entirely. Thankfully, Car Audio Express and their sales manager Bash made that transition incredibly smooth for me. Bash took the time to educate me on how modern car audio systems work, especially in vehicles that already come equipped with factory-tuned sound systems. Unlike the old days where you could start with a bare platform and install whatever components you wanted, today's upgrades require a much more thoughtful approach to avoid compromising the factory system. Bash's knowledge of high-end car audio and system integration is truly impressive. What stood out the most is that he genuinely cares about educating the customer. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, making sure you understand your options before making any decisions. He doesn't try to sell you things you don't need--instead, he recommends what actually makes sense for your system and your goals. That level of honesty and customer care is rare these days. Because of that experience, Car Audio Express and Bash completely earned my trust. They are currently working on my Lexus IS500 as a full audio project. We are doing a complete overhaul of the disappointing Mark Levinson factory system by replacing all 12 speakers with Helix speakers and installing a Helix 12-channel DSP. What impressed me even more is the level of professionalism in their installation approach. The entire system is being integrated without cutting or tampering with any OEM wiring, preserving the factory integrity of the vehicle. The system will also be professionally tuned via laptop to achieve the best possible sound quality. Every step of the process has been handled with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care. Bash also made sure the vehicle is kept secure and protected while it's in their hands, which gave me great peace of mind. If you are serious about upgrading your car audio system and want to work with people who truly understand the craft, Car Audio Express is the place to go. Thank you, Bash, and the entire team at Car Audio Express for the outstanding work and customer service. read more

I've been fortunate to stumble upon CAE and Bash the very first time I wanted new speakers for my old Corolla a couple years ago. Fast forward to now, my third vehicle had their audio system upgraded. You can't go wrong with picking Bash to install anything in your car as he'll give you his honest expertise without ripping you off and increasing the prices based on your needs. Felt the prices compared to other installation spots were significantly lower even if I was buying speakers from the same store as well. I will come back in the near future to add an amplifier and subwoofer into my system despite his warning that not adding them at the same time as the speakers would drastically increase the price! read more

Great place for all your car stereo needs. Dealt with Bash all the way through and he was great about answering questions through Yelp and then met in person at the shop. They have a good selection of products for all budgets and overall pricing was good. They accommodated my schedule to surprise my daughter with a new stereo while she was at school during the day. Install was flawless and they even replaced the old cigarette lighter with an USB-C charger and wired CarPlay connection (stereo had wireless as well). Kept all the factory speakers, amplifier and steering wheel controls. It's like a whole new car for this 20 year old Lexus! Highly recommend this shop and talk to Bash - he will take care of you. service and quality of work is top tier. communication was the big one and i'm so glad bash was helping me out on the sale and then pablo who installed it where he then gave me a quick start set up on my brand new everything audio system. he even permanently disabled the comically tall antenna that goes up every time the radio is turned on, on the spot, which was so nice. the previous owner of my car diy a set up that was kinda a fire hazard so when car audio express just ripped out all the noodles and put in perfection, my ears finally stopped hearing the dreaded bose hiss. they left the boxes of the new equipment and the actual old equipment in the car which is nice to see. overall great experience yall and the prices were beyond fair. we sit in cars for a good portion of the day and this upgrade amplifies the joy of driving. i spent so long listening to music on my phone so when i finally had it loud on the freeway, suddenly gas prices aren't so high after all read more

This place is highly rated for a reason. Bring your car here. Audio systems can be confusing. Because of this, other shops can easily take advantage of customers who dont know anything. This was not the case here.. Bashir was the one here who helped me out. I brought my car here not knowing exactly what I wanted. I could have easily been upsold but I felt he was honest in what I needed/ was looking for. Bashir took the time to understand the current status of my audio system, the sound profile I wanted, and my budget. He answered all my questions in terms I would understand. It is clear he knows knows what he is talking about and the different options on the market. He took the time to write me an email with 3 different options at 3 different prices. The entire time he was upfront about what the final end cost would be. I liked that. My car was done in 4 hours. Very clean install. Good service + honest shop/prices + high quality install = happy customer. read more

I walked in on Monday and got my service done that same day. I picked up my car around 3:30-4 and I was so impressed with the sound. I ended up keeping my HK system because Bash told me that it sounded good still and really what I was looking for was that extra umph in the sound quality. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome and it was exactly what I wanted. For someone who doesn't know anything really about car audio systems, I feel like I was in good hands. read more

My Honest Review of Car Audio Express I'm a customer of Car Audio Express, and I want to share my genuine experience. When I first decided to install a touchscreen audio system in my car, I contacted many different shops. Prices varied a lot, and as a student, the cost was the most important factor for me. While searching through reviews, one phrase really caught my attention -- "Bash is professional." The word professional isn't something people use lightly, so I decided to trust that review and visit the shop myself. Honestly, I didn't have huge expectations -- but when I saw the finished installation, I was completely blown away. The setup was incredibly clean, the wiring was done perfectly, and everything looked flawless. My car is quite old, but after the installation, it felt completely renewed -- almost like a brand-new vehicle. On my second visit, I went to replace my headlights. Bash was very kind and took the time to explain everything, even answering all my questions about how the installation would be done. The technician, Pablo, handled the installation, and once again, the results were beyond perfect. They even added a switch that allows me to turn the halo lights on and off -- a small touch that truly impressed me. If you're thinking about going to Car Audio Express, stop hesitating and just go. Both of my visits were amazing experiences that I paid for out of my own pocket, and everything I've written here comes directly from my honest experience. read more

Stay away from this place. They are not professional except at ripping you off specially if you are a minority. When I got there, there was a guy texting standing at the door blocking it to go in. When he finally moved, I go inside and he was the worker. I asked him if they do sub repairs and he said they only sell and install which is BS because in their yelp it says repairs. He seemed eager to get back to texting so I left. They missed out on business if they could fix one of my subs because I was going to buy a stereo, amplifier, and everything else besides a box (I already have one). read more

I am regretting getting a stereo installed here so badly. January 6th 2023 I get the stereo installed, January 9th 2023 my transmission blows $2500 to get it fixed. Never crossed my mind it had to do with the stereo throughout these years. There was always something wrong either the screen glitching, usb charging cables burning, always a "caution over current" "no video signal" sign on the screen. Never enough for me to make a big deal until Transmission control module burns August 17th 2025. Mechanic replaced with a new one 8/18/2025 , TCM burns again 8/19/2025, 8/20/25 mechanic is figuring out why TCM is burning and finds there is a short circuit coming from the stereo wiring which is causing transmission problems. He had to unplug and now I have to figure it out. Don't recommend to spend your money here. I paid $1600+ for worthless labor and transmission problems due to where they took current from. ZERO stars from me. read more
