He took the time to explain the different dash cam products they carry. I was especially pleased to see they offer the Thinkware U3000 Pro, which is widely regarded as one of the best dash cams available. It also includes a three-year warranty, which says a lot about their focus on quality, reliability, and customer experience. I purchased the system along with a cabin camera. Their professional installation technicians had everything installed and ready to go in less than two hours. The wiring was exceptionally clean and completely hidden--you cannot see where any of the wires run. The technician also spent time walking me through the operation of the system, which I appreciated. My only suggestion would be to add a basic customer waiting area. It could also give customers more time to check out the impressive car-audio products they offer. It is great to support a local business that delivers real quality and value--something you do not always get when purchasing online.

The amplifiers were mounted inside the wheel well area, but when it came time to reinstall the trunk floor cover, it would not sit flat because the amplifiers were mounted too high. Instead of redesigning the installation so everything fit properly, the subwoofer enclosure had to be forced into the trunk, leaving a noticeable hump in the trunk floor. For a professional installation, I expected all factory panels and covers to fit correctly when the work was completed. I am also concerned about the amplifier placement because the amplifiers become very hot after driving on warm days. While I understand that amplifiers generate heat, mounting them in a confined area with limited airflow does not seem ideal for long-term reliability. Another concern is the grounding configuration. The capacitor was grounded directly to the battery, and both amplifiers were grounded through the capacitor rather than using a local chassis ground. While there may be technical reasons for this approach, it was never explained to me, and it differs from what many installers typically do in trunk-mounted systems. Better communication regarding the design choices would have been appreciated. Overall, the system works, but the fitment issues, equipment placement, and lack of attention to the finished appearance left me disappointed. For the price charged, I expected a cleaner installation, proper fitment of the factory trunk components, and a more professional final result.

The shop did admit fault and agreed to pay, but I'm still waiting on the check he gave me to process in my bank, which has been frustratingly slow. What makes it worse is how avoidable this was. This isn't a complex custom job--it's a basic exhaust install that any competent shop should be able to handle without issues. Damaging a fuel tank is a serious mistake, not just a small slip-up. Just putting this out there so others are aware. If you're planning to get work done here, especially on a newer car, I'd be cautious and ask a lot of questions upfront. Really disappointing experience overall for something that should've been quick and simple. On top of that. Now I gotta wait for my car to get fixed and find a new place to install H pipe. This place gives the best price and best service in town. You could be Hispanic only speaking customer and they'll call up a hispanic salesman to accomodate you. You could be Vietnamese or french and the same applies.This place has changed ownership in 2009. I sense that their crew are experts on many cars. I saw Mercedes, BMW, Masseraties,Porches having audio/video systems being installed there. It takes guts and expertise to take apart these cars and put them back together.If many customers are flocking to that place, what does that tell you.Word of mouth works in magical ways. I had a remote start Alarm installed there for honeybunch's car as well as a new stereo system. When her brother saw that, he brought in his 18 wheeler cab and did similar installation. I heard nothing but compliments about this store and their crews. My friends are DJers, they buy nothing but hi quality items there like Peavey, Behringer and Cerwin Vega speakers and Amplifiers.It's all in how you treat your equipment. Of course an amateur can buy hi quality products and misinstall them then run around calling them crap.They gave my friends 1 yr warranty on their DJ buys and I got the same for honeybunch's car topped with lifetime labor warranty. First of all they are a plus being open 7 days a week. I work 6 days with only Sunday's off, so I needed a place open Sunday's and stumbled upon this store. They already had good reviews so it made going there even easier. I was looking for an alarm and radio for my Honda Civic si. Went in and had a very welcoming experience. Brian knew exactly what I needed and quoted me on prices. Prices were exceptional so I proceeded. They are right next to a jack n the box so I decided since I have a few hours to kill and its first thing in the morning I was hungry. I get back and they're already working on my car. Had a couple cars in front of me but Brian said he'll take care of me since I was waiting there. Once installed tested everything out. He showed me the basics and I was on my way. Had the rest of the day to play around with it. And I am defiantly satisfied. I hope this review helps with your choice on going to them. I have never opened a yelp account, but the service was so exceptional, I had to write a review. I own a Honda Pilot and I got some service done with Sam (the owner), and he just gave me the reasonable price in the area. I got a new sub and had the got the whole shabang hooked up with a new indash navigation system. While I was waiting for my car to be done, we started chatting it up. A+ Sound Systems is actually under new management. When I had first yelped the place, I was skeptical because of the rating, but I thought I would still give it a shot. I realized that a lot of the reviews came before Sam had taken over the business. Overall, my experience at this place was super friendly, price was very very reasonable, and he hooked it up with the best customer service. I went into this establishment and met Brian a few months ago and inquired about an amplifier and he explained what the best system would be for my vehicle and why it was the best. I collected that information and after reviewing other system options, I came back yesterday and had my Kicker Amp installed and I loved it! After the installation he told me that I didn't have any speakers in the back of my vehicle and that adding 2 Kicker speakers would help a lot. I did that today and It was the best decission I could have made! The price was also very reasonable! I noticed yelp had removed my previous review and so I'm reposting this review I had for Sound Systems plus in San Jose. I would recommend this place if you need new speakers for your car . I drove here from San Francisco after hearing about this place through a friend and I was definitely impressed with the service and the price. Apparently the business has moved to a new location, but the employees are still the same. I had new speakers installed in my Honda accord within reasonable time and I'm loving it. The workers here are knowledgable and were honest with the price and what needs to be done. So yes, I'll recommend this place to my friends and family. read more

i came to this place pretty long ago to install my speakers and the front desk manager did a great job at all the different types of speakers they had and their warrenty.... i got some pioneer gps screen and speakers for a really good deal!! i luv my sound system and listen to everything on blast, so of course the speakers blew... i had no problems with them replacing my speakers for free... i also came to this place with my friends and they had great deals on the dj systems and speakers for a gig we were putting together.... talk to the guy named alex for the deals and the girl name amy was very helpful as well... read more

I came here to have a radio issues fixed on a car I purchased. There was no audio coming from any speakers from the double din stereo that the previous owner had installed. They took care of the problem for a very reasonable price in about 30 minutes. My VSA light came on shortly after leaving their location. Came back the next day and they took care of it no problem even though it ended up not being related to their work. Very satisfied with their customer service, pricing, and timing of work. Wish I could give negative 100 stars, known the guy for 10 years. got some parts installed for my car, the car started malfunctioning and Mario at the San Jose location denied helping fix the vehicle back to it's original condition twice. He offered to visit my home to fix it but then back tracked. They over charge and don't have legit "warranty" Fuck you and your Arab boss. Don't waste your money and time here read more

They did a badass job installing my subwoofers and new speakers in my 2025 Chevrolet silverado trail boss. The bass and mids sound clean. TL;DR - Regardless of if you know a lot or a little about cars, just come here and get your work done. Details below for those that care. I was looking for someone to help me drop some upgrades into the 2013 SUV I just bought. I spent some $$$, so I wanted to do my due diligence and find someone who actually cares about their craft. I picked three shops with 200+ reviews averaging at least 4.5 stars, then I saw JR Car Audio with 12 reviews and a perfect 5-star rating. I reached out to all four shops asking for a quote. I gave them the details: new head unit install and front and rear dash cams. Then I asked for an itemized labor quote. Most importantly, I asked them to tell me if the stuff I bought would actually work for my car. Two of the shops treated me like just any other customer, just saying generic units are hit or miss and quoting labor. One shop, I was leaning toward working with since they had a high rating with so many reviews, but basically refused to check my gear for compatibility. They insisted on install-only, no exceptions, and encouraged me to 'shop around if i didn't feel comfortable'. Then there was Agustin. He asked me to come in person so he could figure out exactly what I wanted. He gave me probably 45 minutes just to consult. The first visit, I didn't have the head unit with me, so we clarified my plan and he gave me a quote that beat all the others. No upselling, and straight shooting about the potential issues like maybe some SWC would not work fully. Next day, I brought the head unit. He paused his work to check it, explained it wouldn't work as-is, and showed me the trim kit and wiring harness I needed (I bought the wrong stuff on Amazon, but that was part of the plan. If i didn't need it, I'd return it to save some money). Turns out he had everything he showed me that I needed in stock, and only charged me a bit over half of what I would've paid buying it all myself. So after talking, he gave me the all-in quote and his word that he will do his best. Then he added an out for me too saying he'd restore everything and only charge a quarter for the time spent if it ended up not working. Yeah, 12 reviews isn't a lot, but they're legit. You best believe I read each of carefully. People talk about how down to earth he is ("affordable"), how invested he is in his work, how he fixes stuff others didn't do right. I'll add to this list and say that he only accepts work that he knows he can take pride in. I got my work done 2/14. Done in 3 hours instead of the 4 hours minimum everywhere else quoted. And get this: he hooked my reverse cam up to the new head unit too. I seriously just asked as a Hail Mary, and he said he'd look into it and see if it was possible. I'm pretty sure many places would've charged extra for that. Huge win. This is my first and probably only ever Yelp review, and it's for Agustin. Dude's got integrity, works hard, delivers on time, and clearly takes pride in his work. I'm saving up and planning my next project with him, and I most likely won't even bother shopping around.

I came back to get my window tint and electrical issues i had with the car, and this guy was always helpful. Couple year's later, I got a mazda rx-8 and came back again for a sub and Amp for the car and window tint, and again, the guy was really helpful. Years later, I came back for window tint for a subaru sti and again as before never I had an issue with this guy. He was the definition of customer service. I got a Jeep srt later in the years and came back to get window tint only to find out he closed down. I was really bummed not gonna lie. I didn't want no one touching my car but this guy. He treated your car as if it were his and had pride in his work. I was just curious as to what happened to his shop and found out he is mobile! I'm definitely going here if I need any of his services. Amazing guy and highly recommend! He worked on 3 of my old cars and was always happy with the results.

Luckily, the bf has used Vincent Vu from Auto Sound for several years. In total, he's installed at least 10 systems in his vehicles. Trust me, I know you guys are probably thinking 10 cars? He's the guy that switches out cars frequently. And with each car he *has* to get a custom system installed. Hence the need to be a repeat customer. The bonus of this: He saved me from having to go into a spot and be sold on something I have no knowledge about. There's nothing worse than a sales pitch where you can easily get taken advantage of. And this is where I got lucky. Given that he's known Vincent Vu for years and trusts him--I didn't have any qualms about going in and hiring him to do the work for my parents Venza. When I first met Vincent, I was instantly greeted with a warmth and genuine vibe. Right off the bat, I liked him because he didn't try to give me a sales pitch. He asked me what I was interested in and gave me my exact options. He also didn't try to upsell me on anything that I didn't need. I also felt that if I wanted to walk away and not move forward with installation, he would have been completely okay with it. Because in the end, it's the relationships that you build with your customers. He's completely aware of this and is respectful of your decisions. Keeps you in the drivers seat so to speak. I told him exactly what I wanted for the car: a new back up camera, CarPlay, + Bluetooth wired connection for my parent's iPhones. It was the smoothest transaction. He broke everything down for me cost wise and I was able to leave my car there for the day. He called me when the car was ready. I came to pick up the car and Vincent took the time to explain how to use everything. It was a good 30 minutes spent with me making sure I understood it all. DO NOT COME HERE!!!…read more Incompetent staff that will try to get aggressive when you question them!!! I came in for a new stereo touch screen for my van on a Friday afternoon. Got quoted a price and was told that Saturday morning they would be available to install. Saturday morning I show up and was told the install would be about 2 hours and should be no problem. I was replacing an older touch screen the same size, that was controlled by buttons on the steering wheel, both volume and track control. 3 hours later, I am in the waiting area, when the worker informs me that although the stereo is installed, the steering wheel controls aren't connected to the stereo. In order for this to work, they need to contact the manufacturer. Since it's Saturday, the manufacturer is closed, so I'm told to come back Monday afternoon, because the manufacturer will be open and the issue can be resolved. Great. No problem Monday pm , I call when I'm on the way over to confirm they will have time to see me. Over the phone I'm told the manufacturer is on the east coast and is closed, so we agree that I will come back Wednesday pm. Ok. Wednesday I show up at 5pm. I'm told it's an easy fix and should take just a few minutes. 2 hours later I'm told the "specialist" for my particular model is out of town and won't be back until next week. He admitted that the guys working on my vehicle were "guessing" and "trying to figure it out as best they can". When I started to question why I was sold a stereo with installation, when the installer isn't familiar with my type of vehicle in the first place, the bald headed worker tried to raise his voice at me and ran away when I wouldn't back down. He also switched up the story about how tech support is only available thru email now... I get it, things happen, but don't lie and then try to get aggressive.

I paid 200 cash and partial on my credit card which most I didn't get back and they fought me on. 8 months later they bill me another amount which I just paid to avoid collections but these guys are straight up crooks. I'm a single mom of 3 kids with 2 jobs and for them to get away with this crap is just wrong. Shame on them. I have all documents that I'm paid in full and zero balance so if they try to scam me again I am taking them to court. Unprofessional, crooks, rude, and tempted to report them to the BBB. If they retaliate or if they try anything else shady, I will be reporting them and I will get my lawyer involved. If you want to pay over 300 dollars for an installation that won't work and will be taken out 6 days later, won't get money back when it's not even your fault and then be billed 8 months later with another bogus amount with collection department threats, .....then by all means....these are your guys. I replaced it with a used Subaru Impreza that didnt come with a reverse camera. My mom uses the car alot, so she's going to need the reverse camera :) I arrived 15 minutes before closing on Friday and since I didnt want to keep them after closing, basically told them what model car I just bought, and what I was looking for. Double din head unit w/ reverse camera, and some aftermarket replacement door speakers. They asked if I wanted to keep the steering wheel control functions, which I did... so he mentioned what else I needed in order to keep them functional with the new stereo. He asked if Android Auto / Apple play is important to me, and if i wanted it wired/wireless. This day in age, we want everything wireless and convenient, so I said yes to the wireless feature! I mentioned I was interested in component speakers for the front doors, and he suggested where to install the tweeters, and also told me I would need some mounting plates for the dashboard for the tweeters. This way I dont have to drill a hole in the door panel. All in all... Its nice to have someone ask the right questions to ensure I had everything I needed to complete the installation over the weekend, because I would not have had the tweeter mounts if he didnt ask about my installation. I would like to mention that I wanted to have everything I needed for the weekend installation project, so I didnt check around for lower prices, but when I got home... the "Asian habits" in me decided to check prices on Amazon, and Guru's prices were either on par... or slightly below Amazon's prices! I didn't know what to expect coming here... I waited at the front of the garage for about 15 minutes. There was a guy smirking in the front, doing something with cables, 2 other people working on a car, and another guy going in and out doing some kinda repair work on a truck outside. None of them said hi to me. But I know they all saw me. It was very weird. Finally after about 10 minutes of waiting (I figured maybe the owner was on lunch, since this was about 1pm), I walked up to the smirking guy and asked if the owner was here. Then he just nodded and pointed to the right, which was a very small aisle BEHIND a big stack of boxes. It was very off-putting. But I was here, and I had a time crunch. The actual owner was nice... he asked about my car, and then showed me some models. I made a purchase, and he told me to come back in 2 hours. I walked to a nearby Carls Jr, about 7 mintues away. 2 hours later, right on the dot, I get a call to get my car, and they close sharp at 4:30p. The same guy who was walking in and out (remember fixing the truck), was the one who showed me how everything worked, helped me pair my phone. I paid about $950 after taxes. I don't know if that's a good deal, but everything works well, no scratches around the dash. If it weren't for the unwelcoming first impression, this would be a 5 star for me. I wanted to give them 3 stars, but this is clearly a small business owner. My hope is they read this and work on their welcoming attitude.
