I bought an Alpine iLX-w650 head unit for my 2013 Subaru BRZ and I didn't have the skill to install it, even after I watched some youtube videos but I still had no clue, so I went to Minh's shop. I also bought an Uniden R3 radar and I didn't like the wire, Minh said he can hide the wire on the top. I drove my car to Min's shop at around 11AM, and at 3:30PM Minh's texted me that the car was ready, he really finished the job efficiently! When I came back to pickup my car, I saw that the head unit was installed, and Minh tested the backup camera and it was working, and the wire for Uniden R3 was installed on the top. And Minh taught me how to use CarPlay patiently. Previously I thought Alpine iLX-w650 has wireless CarPlay, it turned out it only supports wired CarPlay. Minh is awesome. I have been trying to get CarPlay in my Fiat 124 Spider, where it's not supported and there are firmware upgrades required to hack it that they don't offer. Minh had me do some research about these hacks and then had me come in. He came out to meet me and offered me several options, but getting CarPlay would have been very expensive with all the friction points. He suggested a large touchscreen but as he was showing it to me, he told me that he'd set that up for his girlfriend, and she pointed out that she could have an almost equivalent experience with a good phone mount by putting her phone in the right position. I wound up finding a great phone mount, which Minh blessed before I purchased it, even though he didn't make any money off me. I can see why they have a 5 star rating! read more

Minh had been good to answer questions but when I came to actual services or job done I had horrible experience with him. Not sure how he gets these 5 star reviews but I had two car stereos replaced by him and that certainly do not reflect these experiences. It is hard get a schedule from him and then job is not done properly. In both cases, he didnt install the back up camera properly and in the second car I paid $170 labor only for backup camera and that is still not working. I went for good service and he is not cheap and yet ended up with something that is not working. He charged me twice for installing a stereo unit which was not flushed correctly, always coming up with excuses more labors and charges but no final working products. Minh was very responsive to questions and in the end wanted me to be happy with the new setup. He had suggestions on using some of the factory speakers rather than blindly purchasing new speakers when they weren't necessary for my situation. Not Good For BMW/Mini Speaker Installations - Spent days communicating about what should have been a straight forward installations and the speakers were already purchased. The original subwoofers needed to be removed and there was no confidence around switching them out and was told that I had the wrong speaks WHICH THEY WERE NOT. Ended up taking them to a REAL Audio Installation place and they had the subwoofers switched out in 2-hours.
