Eric did a fantastic job repairing my stuck audio unit in my Mazda Miata. He removed the unit, determined a better place for it to be installed, and it's now more secure than before. His shop area is clean, and Eric demonstrates expertise and years of experience. I would return to Eric for any of my audio and dashcam needs in the future. read more

I had a Viper alarm installed on my truck here and couldn't be happier with the experience. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain how everything worked before I left. The installation was clean, and they paid attention to the little details, which I really appreciated. The alarm works exactly as expected, and it's given me much more peace of mind. The pricing was fair, communication was great throughout the process, and they completed the job on time. If you're looking for a trustworthy shop for a car alarm or security system, I highly recommend them. I'll definitely be coming back for any future upgrades. read more

I've just had a great experience with Eric of Custom Car Audio. I hired him to tear apart my truck's interior and run several power and audio cables for me as well as to install a rear view camera. Eric really knows his craft. He did an expert job in taking apart my interior and putting it all back together again. He is open to ideas and suggestions and has a lot of knowledge. His prices are reasonable and I won't hesitate to use him again. read more

Update: I took my car back because the dashcam was showing "Hardware Kit not Detected. Please connect the 3-Lead Hardware Kit." Unfortunately, I had sent the message Friday at 5pm. To my surprise and gratitude, Eric responded and asked if I can bring my car over at 6pm (an hour later) for him to start troubleshooting. Turns out it was user error. Thank you, Eric, for being so caring of your customers and responsible for your work. Again, I highly recommend Custom Car Audio. read more

My car is 10 years old and I am going to ride it till the wheels fall off. Call me old school but I still like car alarms and the club hah! First, Eric is responsive and his consultation can be done over the phone or virtual. Fair pricing and he will walk you through the entire process start to finish. I needed my old alarm removed and a new one installed. I would come here again to get my window tints and maybe add a back up camera read more

I called Eric on a Friday morning and he was able to work me in at 2 pm that afternoon. After quickly diagnosing the problem (a malfunctioning amplifier), he offered me a couple of options. Once I decided that I needed to buy a new amp, he gave me four options and even suggested that the cheapest option might be the best one for me. When I told him my choice, he ran out to get the new amp and installed it before he closed that day. He truly went above and beyond! read more

I got an alarm installed here in 2015. The alarm works great and I've never even had to replace the battery in the remote. But this review isn't about my original alarm experience. My car suddenly lost all power while I was in a parking lot. I thought it was a dead battery, but the guy from AAA said that my battery was at 95% and the issue was a malfunctioning alarm system. He seemed so sure of it and didn't share any other suggestions or theories. I had issues over the next few days with my car randomly losing power and then working normally. It became too unreliable, so I stopped driving it and scheduled an appointment to have the alarm uninstalled, trusting that the AAA guy knew what he was talking about. That was my mistake. Fortunately, I was able to start my car Saturday morning and had no problem getting to Custom Car Audio. When I tried to restart my car to move it so that Eric could check it out, it had no power again. He looked at it and disconnected the alarm within a few minutes, which immediately told him that the alarm wasn't the problem since the car still had no power. He attempted to get my car to stay on unassisted for at least the next 30 minutes with no luck and recommended I take it to my mechanic. Eric was diligent, patient and explained what he was able to find out about the car in detail. He also texted me a picture of the wires in what I believe was the fuse panel. I checked in with him again a few hours later, saying I was still waiting for AAA and he offered me water since it was a hot day. After all of the work he did, Eric didn't charge me a thing. My experience with him was a bright spot in an otherwise horrible day. Plus, he brought his dog to work with him for an added bonus! Thank you so much, Eric. read more

Very responsive and helpful! I highly recommend him! Will go with him for any future projects for sure!

I don't write a lot of reviews but had to leave one here. I had another shop install an aftermarket sound system in my 2006 Mercedes SL 500. The installation left a drain on the car battery that no one could find or fix - not the Mercedes shop or even the initial installer. Eric said to bring it by. He was able to locate the problem and improvise a fix that completely solved the problem. Price was very reasonable and the workmanship was excellent. I would definitely use him in the future! read more

I contacted Custom Car Audio hoping they would be able to help with my not so straightforward project which involved fixing the wiring harness for my business vehicle that someone tampered with to steal it. Because of the damage done when they tried hot wiring it the vehicle wasn't drivable, it couldn't even start, and this put my business on hold. I spoke to Eric and he met me within an hour for a quote which, understandably so, said he wasn't 100% sure he could help but he was pretty confident he could. He just needed to inspect it a little longer and said he would on a different day when he was less busy, he said I'll have an update on Saturday. This was Wednesday 9/24 and by today Saturday 9/27 the vehicle is working again. It took him a couple hours to let me know he could fix it and fix it - after inspecting it further. I ok'd the price and a couple hours later everything was working again. I contacted several business before Eric's and no one couple help. So I was happy to hear someone that could. There's some details I left out but let's just say there were a couple of curveballs and he had non problem with them. Definitely going to keep his business book marked and 100% recommend to anyone looking to hire him. read more

Asked for a quote, got a response asap, went in the same day for my cabling issue, Eric took care of it in 30 minutes. Would highly recommend :) read more

The only way to know if a car stereo installer is truly good is to put him under the test, right? I have a 2001 BMW E38 and the stock Navigation system display died on me 6 month ago. There is an after-market Navigation system called Avin Avant4 which is made for my BMW E38 so I decided to give it a shot. After the unit arrived, there was no installation manual. The car stereo website only referred to couple YouTube video for the installation. The first time Eric finished the installation, there was an unmarked "IBUS" unit that still needs to be plugged into the back of the head unit, and the license plate light is disconnected because the new backup camera now takes its place, causing a warning light. After talking to Eric, he asked me to go back the next day and he installed the IBUS unit and also plugged in the license plate light and rewired it somewhere else. Then a day later, I realized there was a stock "DSP amp" that is now disconnected, but according to the YouTube video, it should be connected to the new cable. After talking to Eric, he asked me to go back the next day again. This time, he had to rip out the CD changer and the stock Navigation system in order to plug the new cable to the "DSP amp" and then put everything back. I really appreciate Eric's work especially he honored his own work and warranty. Thank you very much! Eric. Now I have CarPlay in my 2001 BMW. read more

Called on a Saturday for information on an audio system install, Eric got us in the next day and completed the job within an hour and a half. Eric is great at what he does...He is cool, calm, and collect... Just like Clint Eastwood... He installed an entire sound system in car for great value. Speakers, amps, sub woofers, and bass knob. System sounds great and I turn heads wherever I go for the good or bad. My apology to those who have to hear my loud music. Thanks Eric and I'm looking forward to the mid tweeters you install.... read more

I could not have asked for a better service experience than I had with Eric. His quality of work and flexibility in fitting me into his busy schedule were exemplary. His prices were also the best. On top of that, he went above and beyond just the work I hired him for, as he assisted me personally when my daughter had a minor medical emergency while we were picking up her vehicle after his service. This was a reflection on this man's superb character. I will gladly hire him for any future work. read more

I have used Erik's services a year ago to install front and rear cams. His workmanship is excellent. Not only he has installed it a way that all the wires are hidden to the last 2 inches, but "cleanness" and no visual obstruction placing my cameras. he is very professional and accommodating. So, why am I writing a review a year later, one might ask. That's because recently a minor issue has popped with wiring up and called Eric who promptly agreed to see me. He has fixed it fast and even improved things a bit at no charge. Highly recommend his service. read more

Brought in my car to install an alarm system and the owner got to work right away. He also pointed out all the stuff that was done wrong in past jobs (the car is old and used). I needed a rear camera installed. Eric sat down with me and helped me narrow down the best choice for my vehicle. He gave a detailed list of costs and labor. It helped knowing the cost of everything before the work started. I thought that was very upfront and transparent. I picked out my backup camera which would slide on top of my rear view mirror. It would be powered by plugging into the cigarette lighter which the manufacturer designed. Eric came up with a $10 solution that allowed me to keep the cigarette lighter port free and the camera's cord completely hidden! I'm very glad I went to Eric instead of trying to tinker with my car panels and wiring on my own. I highly suggest going to him just for the peace of mind knowing that your precious car is in good hands. read more

Called for a quick blown sub. He took care of me right away with a last minute call and test my amp to diagnose the issue.

The owner Eric is a real piece of work, I don't know too much about stereos so I wanted him to install one in my car I just bought , he knew I didn't know anything about it so he took advantage of it, added $700 to a $2500 job, he had put a Stereo in my F150 three or four months ago and he got me for $400. he's a real snake, just giving you a heads up. oh I called him on it this time. He's never returned my call , called him three different times. Texted him , nothing He's a piece of work. read more

There are a handful of custom car stereo shops in the valley, but only a couple of them can brag about a 5 star rating. I've actually had a conversation with the owner (Eric) a few months back, but I haven't had time to make an appointment for my install. From this initial conversation, I knew immediately that Eric was an expert in his craft. I asked him specific questions about my NAV enhancement install, and he was very knowledgeable. I called in last night to see if they could squeeze me in for this week, and luckily they had a slot open this morning at 10:00AM. I arrive at 9:55AM, and Pablo (Eric's right hand man/installer) walks out of the office to greet me. I explain the conversation I had with Eric, and he told me that Eric was running a little behind schedule. After looking at the instructions for the unit, Pablo gave me the option to wait for Eric, or to have him begin the install. I opted to have him start. The shop has a tiny office/waiting room, so I was able to get some work done while I was waiting. After about an hour, Eric walks into the waiting room, greets me and proceeds to complete the invoice. I didn't mention this in the beginning, but I called a few shops to get a feel for what the installation costs would be. With a 5 star rating coupled with the lowest bid, it was pretty much a no-brainer! Eric requested that I drive my car around for 15 minutes or so, to make sure my NAV was functioning normally, but more importantly with the newly added features. I drove off, tested everything, and inspected all the panels that were removed during the installation. Everything was perfect! Side note: The couch in the waiting area/office is probably the most uncomfortable couch I've ever sat on! Luckily this had no bearing on the type of work these guys do. :) Conclusion: I've already discussed my next project (another vehicle) with Eric. This is definitely my new go-to stereo shop! From top to bottom it was a painless experience. read more
