Car stereos are not my area of expertise and shopping around for a place to do installation could have been an intimidating thing for me to do. Luckily, the bf has used Vincent Vu from Auto Sound for several years. In total, he's installed at least 10 systems in his vehicles. Trust me, I know you guys are probably thinking 10 cars? He's the guy that switches out cars frequently. And with each car he *has* to get a custom system installed. Hence the need to be a repeat customer. The bonus of this: He saved me from having to go into a spot and be sold on something I have no knowledge about. There's nothing worse than a sales pitch where you can easily get taken advantage of. And this is where I got lucky. Given that he's known Vincent Vu for years and trusts him--I didn't have any qualms about going in and hiring him to do the work for my parents Venza. When I first met Vincent, I was instantly greeted with a warmth and genuine vibe. Right off the bat, I liked him because he didn't try to give me a sales pitch. He asked me what I was interested in and gave me my exact options. He also didn't try to upsell me on anything that I didn't need. I also felt that if I wanted to walk away and not move forward with installation, he would have been completely okay with it. Because in the end, it's the relationships that you build with your customers. He's completely aware of this and is respectful of your decisions. Keeps you in the drivers seat so to speak. I told him exactly what I wanted for the car: a new back up camera, CarPlay, + Bluetooth wired connection for my parent's iPhones. It was the smoothest transaction. He broke everything down for me cost wise and I was able to leave my car there for the day. He called me when the car was ready. I came to pick up the car and Vincent took the time to explain how to use everything. It was a good 30 minutes spent with me making sure I understood it all. My speakers were not working on my 2008 Harley Road Glide. I thought it was a loose wire or bad connection. I dropped it off at Auto Sound. Most of the labor to fix it is taking the fairing off and putting it back on, after finding the connection problem. The next day I picked it up. The charge was $280 or two hours labor. I asked what the problem was. Vincent said he did not know, and would ask Tony (who was not there at the time). But he said he saw Tony had taken the fairing off (which would account for most of the labor.) But I know the fairing was not taken off, since I taped it certain way, and the tape was not altered. I called Tony the next day and asked what the problem was. To his credit he did tell the truth and told me it was just a fuse. The fuse is just under a side panel which is easy to flip off. (See photo). It takes five minutes. Okay, you have to take the left bag off, but that is another 5 minutes. I did check the fuses before I brought it in, but I probably missed the right one, so stupid me. But the first thing a professional would do is check the fuses, and can track down the right fuse in another five minutes. I asked Tony, why two hours labor, and he said that is the minimum charge, and all the other shops charge that. But they actually don't since I checked. Plus he did not tell me it was a two hour minimum when I brought the bike in. So $280 to change a fuse. I would not have minded paying $140. But they are dishonest, and I would not recommend them. read more

Great service. Good prices. Stand by their work. When getting quotes for a dash cam installation, Auto Sound had the best price. After the installation, I learned that I purchased the wrong hardwire kit. The installer was able to hardwire it anyway. But without the correct kit, the dash cam would not work in parked mode. The installer said if I could get the correct kit, he would redo the installation for no charge. This is a great place to go for upgrading the sound system in your cars. I had the audio systems in two of my cars worked on by Vincent, and I couldn't be happier. Vincent interviewed me for the type of music I normally listen to, what I am looking to achieve with the new sound systems, and made recommendations on what can be done, what should be done, and what does not need to be done. JL-W6 Sub & EV Amp Installation in 2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range (+ Tint Job) This review is LONG overdue.... To start with, I just want to give a huge shoutout to Tony and the whole team. They are a class act and they do quality work. I've been taking my cars to Tony for years (2000 & 2005 Accord) Him and has talented team/family have always taken care of me. It's been more than 3 months since I got the car back from them and everything is running SUPERB! I still haven't heard another Tesla on the road with a sub installed, especially the newer ones in which sensors and monitoring systems are more critical. Mike from Tony's team is an expert and worked through brand new challenges to get to the point where we are now. The system is super stable and the sound is EPIC. I literally cannot live without bass in my life (I go through withdrawals) so these guys are a godsend. A big thanks to the team for doing a fantastic job on my tint as well. I was able to get both done in the same visit! When one component in the electrical loop had an issue, they replaced the component free of charge the next morning and returned vehicle same day. They don't charge an arm and a leg for parts and are very reasonable with labor charges. Wouldn't recommend taking your car anywhere else for Car Audio or Tint! read more

I have had Auto Sound install stereos in all 3 of my trucks. They have always had fair pricing and done a good job of helping me select the equipment that's right for my trucks and my budget. I recently had an alarm, speakers & amp installed in my classic truck and the stereo sound has definitely improved a lot. The Viper alarm with shock sensor was a little too sensitive and I took the truck back to have them adjust it for me. I didn't call first, I just drove up and asked if they could adjust it and they jumped on it right away, which I was very appreciative of. Dis honest and messy wire installations I have to re organize it myself for safety I've been going to Tony and trusted him for years BUT recently it almost burn my wirings in my truck also two of my front speakers got toast because I just found out that he installed a wrong amplifier for my four speakers supposedly for subwoofer only. So I went to see why my speakers had no sound after installing an aftermarket head unit my self and it was plug and play but i knew everything was working, stopped by here and they were able to find out if my head unit was working right , turns out they were able to check if there was audio coming out and found that the rear speakers were bad I ended up purchasing new ones from there great service btw. read more

Set an appointment and brought in my missus' Mini Cooper Countryman on Thursday at 10A, Tony had me out before 1:30P. Comparing local quotes, I was satisfied with the price I paid. For 7 windows, I was quoted $275, which after tax, came out to just over $300. I had the front windows tinted at 35%, the back windows at 5%, and the rear at 10%. Leaving, I was instructed to wait 3-4 days before rolling down the windows; with the current heatwave it's been fantastic. Highly recommend Autosound, I'll be back for the next tint! read more

I'm pretty disappointed with the service and my experience here. I took my new 2022 dodge challenger scat pack to wire/install electric cut outs on my car. Tony promised a good job. About 3 days later, Normandin Chrysler, Jeep Dodge noticed the wires were bunched up and shoved right underneath the gas tank. One of the cut out wires partially melted due to not being secured. Now it's opening and closing mid drive. Another shop had said the motors were damaged from being opening mid throttle. I also referred a good buddy to install a custom stereo system, and they ended up damaging the subwoofer and using live secured wires. Called Tony a few days after to cool off, and he gave me his word to take care of it and refund my cut outs and pay for the install, but now not he is not answering and refusing. I don't recommend taking your car here. read more

This place is really bad. They basically ruined a perfectly good Subaru. I made a huge huge mistake in listening to the owner Tony and upgrading my stock stereo to his recommended Jensen touchscreen. I immediately knew it wasnt going well after he had his hacks messing with my car in a parking lot all day with parts scattered all over the dirty asphalt in the sun. Doesn't even have service area. Picked up my car that evening and drove off while he closed shop. Wanted to listen to KNBR and the Giants game, but they never connected the antenna. Spend another day off work to correct. But now I hear major noise feedback from the engine. Bad!!! 5 months later the unit completely dies. No touchscreen. No nothing. Ended up getting a stock stereo from Subaru and having it put back normal from another shop. Tony had his hacks cut into my vehicles electrical harness and jeopardized my entire vehicle computer system. This obviously has been a major headache that I will follow up personally with these guys once I have chilled out. We cross paths at the store occasionally read more

Went in to get my windows tinted, the guy who Helped me at first was not Tony, some other dude who was sniffing after every word he said (if you know you know). I pre paid for the window tint and when I came in for my appointment they were unable to tint my windows. Thankfully when I went in for my appointment Tony was working and was able to take care of me with a quick refund. I gave this review stars as Tony was helpful, but the rest of the operation needs some work. read more
