lt gets even better. I took my car back because I wanted to go with a different option on the dot matrix on the rear hatch. Previously we used vinyl because of the density. This time we tried tint and it was just too bubbly for my taste - NO fault of CK's that's just how the thing's made. Ken replaced that patch with vinyl for free. I also wanted him to diagnose some engine whine. We determined that it was a faulty Y-connector and that signal wasn't getting to a speaker. So while Ken worked on the tint (which he'd already told me he would replace for free if I didn't like the way we did it), he let me use his tools, some scrap speaker wire and garage space to replace the Y-connectors and to run signal to the speaker in the door myself (I love doing this stuff - just rarely have space and time). Ken gave up probably $200-$400 in diagnostic fees and cable routing by letting me work on my car myself - with his guidance and tools. Ken gained all of my audio and "cool car project" business for life. Thank you. The car looks fantastic, sounds the best it's ever sounded, and I still feel like I robbed you paying only $40 today. Ken is a pro and knows his electronics/stereo. Go there if you want to install/upgrade your car stereo. Ken put on a Carplay add-on for my 2018 Prius. Another technician messed it up when changing the 12V battery. The backup camera and Carplay no longer worked. Ken patiently took the glove compartment apart to hard reset the Carplay head unit. When it comes to aftermarket car audio work, it's been a mixed bag for me over the last decade. Fortunately this has all finally changed thanks to CK Auto Image. This place is absolutely AWESOME. We decided to update the wife's car stereo so we called up CK Auto Image and made a weekend appointment with Ken. We were greeted promptly at our scheduled appointment and Ken reviewed all the work we wanted done. We essentially wanted to take out our stock stereo, install a new double DIN faceplate, and install a new Clarion multitouch headunit with GPS, SiriusXM, iPhone interface & Backup Camera. Since Infiniti has a pretty complicated factory stereo that requires most of the dash to be disassembled and a new A/C controller to be put in, this install was definitely not a simple one. Ken however tackled the job without any drama at all. He knew the G coupe well and even found ways to hide the GPS & Sirius antennas within the dash itself...nice touch for sure! The backup camera he recommended was also installed perfectly and synced up with the headunit seamlessly. When we decide to customize our other cars, we definitely will be giving Ken a call again. The purpose of this review is to explain my situation and possibly prevent others going through what I have experienced. For the full record, I don't have hard evidence but am very suspicious. Last December, I came to this shop to install backup sensor for my car. The service was completed and has been working great. Fast forward 5 months, I begin to see a rear lift gate issue where the buttons don't work and latch motor would not lock causing the rear trunk to pop up especially on freeway (safety hazard). I went to the dealership to diagnose and repair. After 20 hours and replacements of two spindles and latch (over $2k), issue persisted. The technician there found a cut in the grommet in the harness near top of the trunk. The repair to this cut was undone. The technical then soldered it back. After getting home, I looked online and found youtube video which shows in order to install backup sensors, the wires go through the grommet which got cut. Again, I don't have hard evidence but am extremely suspicious because of the video and 5 month timing. There was only one oil change and tire rotation at a regular shop during this 8 month period to the car. Please be careful. read more

This is probably my first review and unfortunately not the one I wanted to write. I visited this place late 2018 because one of my speakers was working intermittently. Ken suggested a rewire and I also requested to add the steering wheel control install. When I picked up truck later in the day, everything looked fine and I drove home. Then, the problem persisted and I contacted Ken over the phone and he suggested to do a "full re-wire" at a later date. I decided to pay for the full re-wire and dropped off my truck a few days later. When I picked it up, my existing rear view camera was not working. The technician had to pull the dashboard apart and fix the problem. Again, everything seemed to be working fine. When I got home from the picking up my truck, my truck would not turn off when I removed my key from the ignition (engine would still be running), my remote start stopped working and my gauge cluster was dead. I decided to drive back to Ken's and try to get the problem fixed. I was not happy with all these problems caused by a "re-wire". To be fair, I do not believe Ken did the installation. It was his technician. When I went back to Ken's and explained all these problems, he did not take responsibility and instead suggested that my ignition switch was the problem. He even suggested to take it to a mechanic to get it scanned for any codes. I was obviously furious by his lack of ownership. I understand that we all make mistakes, but putting the blame on others is not the way to go. I decided to cut my loses and not even bother about going back. I would not let those guys put a hand on my truck ever again. This failed installed cost me a few thousands to repair. After taking it to two different Chevrolet dealerships (labor hourly rate is pretty expensive) and having no luck, a technician recommended a car audio shop that would take care of the problem. It's important to note that the dealerships did not find problems with the starter or other main components. They said the problem was a wiring issue and since it was an aftermarket installation they prefer not to touch it. To end this review, I took my truck to a car audio shop and they fixed the problem. Turns out that Ken's shop tapped into the wrong wire and it was creating all these problems. They had to replace the stock harness and "re-wire" my system. read more

I used yelp to help me find a car tiniting place and it is right across the street where I work. They are planning to move across the street to upgrade their facilities so they can do more work on the cars like their shop in Philadelphia, it would be nice to have a regular mechanic on hand as well, so I will go to them. Anyways I set up an appointment at 11am, but I came in earlier, but they did not mind. They showed me all of the options I can choose from in the car tinting and the pros and benefits to each of them. I went with the conservative approach not too dark on the tint so the cops would pull me over. The warranty can not get any better, it is lifetime warranty so if it peels or bubbles, the will redo it for you for free as long as you own the car. The price to do my impala 2011 was $250, for all five wondows, the front too sides and the rear as well. It looks very nice and Ken could have charge me the $275 dollars, but he did not. The prices were great on the job they do. They got done as they said they would 3 hours and I picked up my car at 4pm and was very pleased with the results. read more

So as I wrote earlier I had Ken install some HIDs that I bought elsewhere, well they sucked, massively. Flickering and misfire galore. I came back to Ken and bought a pair of digital canbus hids. He installed them perfectly, low profile. The lights work great, 6k and bright. Lights up the road with no issues, no flickering and no misfire plus backed by his guarantee. Ken is now my go to guy. Got my tint done about a year ago. I can see the difference in the product, they use Jhonson film. I only had 3 hours to get the job done Ken offered to bring the car to me after work if he wasn't able to finish within those three hours. it was done in about 2 and half hours. just bought a new car yesterday will be taking it in on Wednesday to get it to tinted. I don't know about their tinting operation, but forget about servicing Vioer/Alarm issues. I had a problem with the SmartFence performance. Upon contacting Vioer, I was directed by Vioer to this dealership. I spoke with Ken , "The Owner" (he made sure I got it). I told him about my email communication with Vioer and my failure to solve the problem. He was very non-cooperative, telling me that he can't help me on the phone, that I need to come for a diagnostics-that will cost money, that they are "very busy", and that maybe I should "try another Viper dealership of the many in the Bay Area".
