Huge bowl (soup volume about the size of a honey melon) but mostly soup. Delivery websites like UberEats or the like still show "Spicy Rutacaea Noodle". Rutacaea/Rutaceae is the botanical family containing citrus plants, including orange, lemon, grapefruit, lime, kumquat, etc. Combined with the spicy rating I expected something fruity, sour, yet hot, like some kind of sweet-sour base. But at the restaurant it was nowhere to be found on the menu. I had written down the original menu name (rutacaea) and showed it to the hostess directing people where to sit. She told me it was now "Rattan Pepper Rice Noodle". The taste is what I would generously describe as "perfumed" and woodsy. It borderline smelled like scented dishwater. Strangely toward the end when the soup was largely gone, the soup started to taste bitter. Very likely NOT the rutacaea noodle they had. Overall I do not recommend this particular soup. Basically $18 plus tax and tip. You choose one soup/noodle base and one topping. I choose Pork. Somehow it also came with a few fish balls, one prawn, some mushrooms, and some reddish meat that was certainly not the sliced pork that I asked for. Kind of curious if that's part of the soup base or if they topped off someone else's leftovers because giving away a prawn doesn't sound like something a restaurant would do. In any case, if you have preferences (e.g., you have gout and don't want shellfish), best to tell them up front even if you think you're not going to get any. Also really irritating to eat. Whether you are using chopsticks or fork, and even with the oversized spoon provided, the slippery spaghetti-like noodles tended to slip away because they were just too short.

We ordered 3 things: Beef Fried Rice Noodle - lots of crunchy onions, green onions, bean sprouts with a decent amount of beef. Beef Potato Rice Lunch Special - comes with beef and potatoes of course, stir fried green peppers, onions and carrots. They also give you a side bowl of hot & sour soup. All good with no complaints. Pork in Spicy Garlic Sauce - The star of our meal. So spicy and full of flavor. The pork slices are on top of some bean sprouts so after eating a few slices, you can have some sprouts to change up the texture. I'm not a spicy food person so I was only able to eat 1.5 slices before my throat hurt, but my husband finished the whole thing.

We ordered the eggplant lunch special, chicken with Shanghai noodles and their special pork wrap. Portions were generous and they didn't skimp on the meats. Everything had good "wok hay". Already talking about what we're ordering on the next visit.

I also loved that they used dark meat, which made it even more flavorful and juicy. The spicy beef noodle soup was delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the beef was tender, and the dish was very satisfying overall. My only suggestion would be for the broth to have a bit more depth and boldness in flavor. The pork soup dumplings were excellent. The wrappers were thin and delicate yet held together perfectly, and each dumpling was packed with a generous amount of rich, flavorful broth. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.

I came here after work on a Saturday, after 3pm. I didn't know what to expect. Reading the reviews…read morebefore hand I kinda of was expecting a wait; but there was no such thing as I got seated pretty promptly. They have rice and noodle options as well as a dim sum section on the menu. I ordered 3 items, A12 the beef noodle soup with beef, tripe, tendon, and thick noodles. The popcorn chicken and the beef pancake. I like the option that you get to choose the type of noodle. The noodles were nice and al dente and had a good ratio of all the type of meats in the soup. What I didn't really like about the dish was that the beef flavour was on the lighter side (had more of a vinegary taste) was quite subtle and if you like more veggies; your only getting one piece of bok choy. The popcorn chicken was good; juicy, nicely seasoned, and crispy. What I didn't like was the beef pancake. I should have listened to the reviews, but as usual; I had to form my own opinions. The beef pancake was full of sliced cucumbers, and barely had any meat; just a single slice of beef. I was shocked that the ratios were so off on this beef pancake. It was like 20% pancake, 75 % cucumbers and 5% meat. Definitely would not order this item again. Service was attentive, they had 3 waiters waiting around; and came pretty often (about every 5 minutes) to fill up your water. Overall, a decent experience. I'd come back again, but definitely would avoid the beef pancake. An upside is that they also take credit card, without an added fee Parking was very easy to find. You can either park on the street for 2 hours or there is a parking lot in the back. You'd have to register your plate if you want to park in the back, but my server was pretty adamant about getting that info when I first sat down.

After that, we ordered from them again many, many times through the Fantuan app. The menu is simple. Basically rice and noodles, just as the name of the shop implies. They cook their food soooo well though! There's a deep "wok hei" flavor to their rice and noodles. They do also have a few other side dishes like gyoza and spring rolls which you can order, but basically we go to this place for the rice and noodles. This was the first time we actually dined in the restaurant instead of getting takeout. Highly recommend dining in! So good to eat the food fresh and hot. It's a great place to stop for a quicky, filling and tasty meal. You choose your base, then your protein, and then your level of spice. Pay at the counter, then sit down and they will bring the food out to you when it's ready. In our group we ordered some gyoza, chow mein, pad thai noodles and pad see ew noodles. I must have been hungrier than I realized, or else the food just tasted soooo good that I ended up eating my entire plate of noodles, when I really only needed about half the plate. This place is a "must try"!.

The guy in front of me, Deng, looked at me with such envy as he cut in line. This place is incredibly popular! Every time I pass by, there's a long queue. Even on rainy days, people are willing to get soaked in the rain just to have a bowl of hot tonkotsu ramen. While you're queuing, the staff will hand out menus. The ordering system is similar to Ichiran Ramen; you can choose the noodle firmness, broth consistency, spiciness, green onions, oil level, and MSG amount . The basic ramen is only $13. I added a soft-boiled egg and pickled cabbage for $2 each. Although the pickled cabbage is really expensive , I can't help it, I'm a pickled cabbage addict! The pickled cabbage paired with the rich tonkotsu broth was refreshing. The broth was flavorful but not greasy, the noodles were chewy and springy, and the portion size was just right. Overall, it's incredibly good value for money; no wonder there's always a queue. After eating, you really get that "Ah~ this is the taste of happiness" feeling

The vegetarian was loaded with sesame seeds. Now i love those seeds but it was way too much for my liking. Too much seeds to chew on. They also do not put any vegetables on like Hawaii does. Everything is ala carte and that adds up. I simply chose the ramen version without all the add ons. The broth was yummy but again with the loaded seeds, it made it challenging to just drink the soup. I will say, Hawaii has by far better ramen, but this place was ok too. Pricey for for what you get though.
