Restaurant was clean, customer service was great and I must say for my first time eating here. The food is fantastic, hot and cooked to my asking. And yes, I will be paying them another visit in the near future.

I've been to this restaurant for quite few years now. I have nothing bad to say about his place. From the food they offer to the service... no issue. I usually get the whole wings (honey hot) w/ fries ... and a coke ... the perfect combination.

It was my first a last time going to captain jj's fish and chicken on Covington pike i ordered 20 piece of whole wings it was horrible the chicken was over cooked and dry let alone it was not hot at all it felt as if the chicken had been refrigerated and attempted to be thrown in the oven or something i was very disappointed with my food then i had to literally wrestle with my chicken to try and bite it i would not reccomend anyone to go here for any chicken that is made so poorly just for a quick buck ya'll should be ashamed of yourselves for the garbage you sold to me I Give zero stars for this business

Very good. You have to wait a bit since they cook to order but everything is good and hot. I had the catfish and 2 wings lunch special, comes with fries, bread, and drink. You will receive plenty of hot food. The catfish had a nice crispy, golden batter on it. Service is very friendly and helpful.

Chicken was good. Fries stale. That's why I gave it a three star rating. Hopefully the fries will be fresh from the grease next time I visit.

The restaurant has a really neat vibe and is decorated better than most of the restaurants in the memphis area. We came at 5:00 on a Saturday night and we were seated immediately without reservations, but when we left, they did have a small wait to get a table. We started with the pimento cheese toastie which was garlic bread with melty pimento cheese on top. We both really enjoyed it. I decided on the filet with peppercorn sauce. I asked for it it to be butterflied. My steak was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of pink and it sliced like butter. I got the peppercorn sauce on the side and used it for a dipping sauce. I really liked the sauce, but it is really peppery. While I loved it, some might find it a little spicy. My husband had the bourbon glazed porterhouse pork chop. His was cooked perfectly fly as well and was super tender. He really enjoyed it, but mentioned that the sauce did have something in it that gave it a little spice. We shared an order of rosemary duck fat fries as the entrees come à la cart with no sides. The fries re heavy on rosemary which my husband didn't care for. I enjoyed them, but they were definitely not my favorite. Neither of us cared for the mayo sauce that they came with and preferred to eat them with ketchup. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the food has been consistently underwhelming during my recent visits. I first ordered the lamb chops. They were not what I would consider traditional lamb chops and were surprisingly chewy and difficult to enjoy. I returned and decided to try the Irish Curry Chicken. It was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dishes I've had there. The menu described it as chicken thigh, but it was clearly chicken breast. The dish lacked basic seasoning and flavor. There was very little salt, umami, or curry flavor. The rice was wet, overcooked, and mushy. Overall, the entire meal tasted like something taken from a grocery store freezer section and reheated. At this point, I would recommend sticking to the fries and the burgers, which remain the strongest items on the menu.

I saw them on a Monday but noticed they weren't open until Friday. When Friday came, I made sure to check them out. After going back and forth in my head, I decided to go with the fried salmon sandwich with fries and a piece of catfish on the side. I also ordered a freshly squeezed lemonade. When looking at the menu prices, I felt they were standard. When I got my food, I was a bit disappointed with what I received. For $6, I expected the catfish to be a whole filet. I've seen photos of catfish plates where customers received a whole filet, so that's what I was expecting. It appeared that my filet had been cut in half lengthwise, so the portion was much smaller than I expected. Flavor-wise, it was just okay. When it comes to the salmon sandwich and fries, they were both very bland. The fries had no salt or pepper whatsoever. The salmon wasn't much better. I could visually tell that pepper had been added to the batter, but the fish itself hadn't been seasoned. Aside from the pepper, I'm not sure the batter was seasoned either. Additionally, the sandwich didn't come with any toppings or condiments, so it was very dry. I did ask for tartar sauce and ketchup packets, but I only received two tartar sauce packets, which wasn't nearly enough for both the sandwich and the catfish filet. I felt that the salmon was fried perfectly, and I did enjoy the crunch, but for $13.50 I expected it to at least come with some lettuce or pickles--or at least the option to add them. I'm not sure if the lemonade was freshly squeezed or not, but I didn't notice any seeds or pulp that would indicate it was. It tasted good, though, so no complaints there. If I were to try them again, I'd get the salmon grilled instead of fried, and I'd probably try the whole catfish instead of the filets. The food wasn't bad--just underwhelming. The customer service was good, but I do wish they were open during the week. I really wanted to like the food here, but this visit just didn't live up to my expectations

There's nothing like eating a grilled chicken salad dry. Funny thing is, all the people who ordered a salad were in the restroom within the hour with diarrhea. I had the fish and chips. They left out the malt vinegar I requested. Soggy fries were in the same container and we received a roll and a piece of cornbread nobody ordered. Just a total lack of incompetence once more. If this is considered a "neighborhood" restaurant, there's no wonder for sale signs are all in the area. They really need to pay more attention to to-go orders especially when they are getting gratuity. I had to explain to the millennial who picked up our food what Joe Pesci said in "Lethal Weapon 2" in regard about the drive-thru. Needless to say, he never heard of Joe Pesci or "Lethal Weapon." Anyway, Patrick's justs needs to do a better job all around. Everyone else thought their food wasn't fresh. Nothing spectacular. It's a shame they closed Piccadilly down the street because I would have much rather had that instead.

The menu is varied and includes Irish fare such as corned beef & cabbage and bangers & mash. I went with a spinach salad, which is quite nice, lightly dressed with beets & goat cheese. I like spice, but the spicy pecans were a miss for me. The Irish eggrolls are very well prepared. Ungreasy, flavorful, good ratio of fillings to wrapper. The dressing adds to the overall flavors. My dining companion ordered the cornedbeef and cabbage which comes with whipped potato. It looked amazing with a nice portion of cabbage and cornedbeef. I am told it's very good, and if it tastes like the egg rolls, I believe it. Malt vinegar, mustard and hot sauce are on the table along with s&p if you like to add those to your meal.
