Really tasty! I liked the "Orange Mound" flavor; you can really taste the orange. Wings also were cooked to a good crispy quality.

I loved the food and the customer service. The cookies (you have to get one). I do wish they sold cheese fries.

This time around, I stopped by the Downtown Memphis location, which is tucked away in a residential area not too far from Beale Street. A little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trip. Now, let's talk about the experience. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged. A few employees made eye contact, but nobody said a word. I eventually learned from another customer that it was a seat-yourself establishment. Interesting! LOL. However, the moment I sat down, someone came right over to take my order. I guess everybody strictly stays in their lane around here! I ordered the three-piece white meat meal with coleslaw, baked beans, and a small side of mac and cheese. BABY, that chicken was GOOD! Everything came out in a timely manner, piping hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The chicken was seasoned just right, and the portions were generous. Exactly what I was looking for! Another thing I appreciated was the cleanliness. Both the dining area and restroom were clean and well-maintained. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality and amount of food you receive. My only real criticism is the initial customer service experience. A simple greeting or acknowledgment when someone walks through the door goes a long way. Other than that, I enjoyed my visit. Would I return? ABSOLUTELY! The food speaks for itself, and Gus's continues to deliver on that front.

The chicken had a good spicy and juicy. The sides needed seasoning and help all the way around. Our service was nice and good just the sides I had a big issue with.

She was extremely pleasant and welcoming. The portions are massive and the flavor intense. Jacob got the salad which had way more on it than explained. He loved it. I got the truffle sandwich and it was absolutely the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It had two giant fried tenders on it which were juicy and crispy with their amazing wingman sauce. It also had a truffle aioli that was subtle but definitely delicious. The fries are season and crispy on the outside but creamy on the inside. We got the wingman platter. For the love of God this was incredible. The wings were juicy as well as nicely crispy. The flavors, now here's where they hit. There was a honey mustard, wingman, lemon pepper and a type of jerk curry. Well let's say this, I NEVER dipped. Not once. The seasoning on every one of these was magnificent. The curry was my favorite. It had a unique flavor with a kick. Best wings Ever!!! The place earns its name. We also had the rolls which were spicy and flavorful. Wouldn't pass on those either. This place deserves more than 5 stars. If you're looking for fried chicken or wings DON'T MISS this place. I am ruined now, because I will forever want this food every time I want fried chicken. When it came to which flavors to pick, I knew I had to try their award-winning flavor, Memphis Buffalo. I'm not a big wing person, so it was just ok to me. It was good, but didn't wow me. Also, I always get boneless, so I'm not sure if the flavor is different on regular wings- so take my review with a large grain of salt if you're a big wing person. The fries were really good but the flavored versions weren't that impressive so I'd rather just stick to the regular fries. The Pineapple Habanero was really good though. I really liked the flavor and the kick. It's one of the spicier things on the menu so I feel like I could handle the spiciest. I'd come back and try more flavors! Loved: - Dipping Sauce: Ranch - Side: Fries Classic - Side: Roll Liked: - Wings (Boneless): Pineapple Habanero Ok: - Dipping Sauce: Blue Cheese - Side: Fries Premium Parmesan - Wings (Boneless): Memphis Buffalo

I like the face that they travel around Memphis so everyone can try the food. I ordered a couple of Buffalo Chicken Tacos, an avocado taco, and 18 wings with the flavors of honey gold, bourbon, and memphis buffalo. The tacos were great. I want to order some more. The wings are smoked with the sauce added later. The wings taste good but they are pretty expensive for what they are. People should try the wings but I prefer deep fried wings that hold the sauce better.

I sat at the bar, and my bartender did not miss a beat. Even though I was dining alone, she continued to check on me and made sure I was taken care of throughout the evening. I got to enjoy two different bands, and both were amazing! However, the final performance was definitely my favorite. Her voice was both soothing and powerful, and when she started singing Tina Turner, all I could do was smile. What an incredible performance! Now, let's talk about the ribs! They were delicious, full of flavor and literally falling off the bone. The baked beans were good, although they didn't blow me away. The green beans, however, were a miss for me. I think they were trying to do too much with them; sometimes simple is better. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. The live music, atmosphere, and those ribs made this accidental stop well worth it. There was a $10 cover which I was told goes to support the band. The restaurant seems to be pretty big. It looks like it's 2 stories. I sat at the main bar on the first floor. Service was terrible. The bartender was very inattentive and acted like she had a giant chip on her shoulder. I ordered the ribs and a local draft lager. The food and drinks were very good. I was hoping for a Memphis dry rub, but they were doused in bbq sauce. The ribs weren't as good as what you can probably find at other places in Memphis, but they had good flavor. The baked beans were very sweet and watery. The coleslaw was great. The live band was amazing. That night it was the BB King All-Stars. They played a wide variety of musical genres spanning several decades. One song was so good, I was brought to tears. Overall, I had a decent time. The live band saved the night for me. I went on a slow Tuesday night in September, so there really wasn't much open on Beale St to choose from.

The service was great, the wait was minimal, and our food came out so quickly it was almost like they were waiting for us to arrive! There was something special about sitting down to Memphis barbecue after driving all the way from California and realizing, "We made it to Tennessee!" Alright, lets get into this…read more.. Walking in I was pleasantly surprised...Flight is in a tough location because parking isnt exactly ideal but as soon as you walk up, a hostess opens the door and welcomes you in. I didnt get photos of the restaurant but they have a really cool split floor design, we got to sit upstairs. I recommend you sit upstairs it possible because the first floor gets louder faster if that makes sense. Plenty of very attentive and friendly staff so you will need for nothing while you are there. Now for the food...we started off with the SNAKE RIVER FARMS WAGYU CARPACCIO. It was . My only critique if I had one; I wish it had a little more carpaccio. Now before I get into entree's let me explain how "Flight" works...You can order a single large entree for dinner, orrrrrrr, if you're like me and LOVE food, you can order a flight of three smaller portions of the entree's! Bring your appetite (and your platinum card). I ordered a three entree flight of Bison Ribeye, roasted duck breast and the chilean sea bass. I would rank them in that order although they were all delicious. That bison tho.... The wife ordered a three entree flight of the prime ribeye, sea scallops, and the twin lobster tails. She wasnt a huge fan of the prime ribeye, she said it was a little tough. She loved the scallops and lobster (although she will never forgive herself for dropping a huge piece of lobster on the floor). Oh and her scallops came with this gnocchi that was TO DIE FOR!!!! We finished the night off with a three dessert flight of pistachio mousse, lava cake and apple walnut cobbler. The pistachio mousse was light and refreshing on a hot summer day. She loved her apple cobbler. We werent huge fans of the lava cake. It just didnt have that nostalgic lava cake taste and texture. That and the peppermint gelato it came with was very strong on the peppermint. Im sure some would love it but it just wasnt for us. Last piece Ill mention is just the effort and attention to detail. It was our anniversary and they brought us complimentary glasses of champagne (thank you). They are very deliberate in how they move, their table settings and our server knew her restaurant like a pro. Even down to the way they stage your silverware knowing how their flight plates take up table space. Bravo, Great experience! Definitely a little too pricey to be a frequent spot, but great for special occasions!

The only con I would say was that the service was a bit slow. We waited for our entrees for a significant amount of time. All 3 were so good and left no crumbs. The ceviche was refreshing with each bite. Scallop was buttery and cooked perfectly. I loved that the Benedict came over handmade biscuit. So soft and flaky!
