I called my order in and it was supposed to be ready in 15 min. We still ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes. The order included a barbecue turkey leg, wings, okra, and cheese sticks. Only 1 of 4 cheese sticks contained cheese. The others were completely empty. The turkey leg had an unusual taste to where we couldn't even eat it and the wings were dry. Not to mention, we were given the wrong flavor. This experience was completely unsatisfactory. The food wasn't worth finishing unless we wanted a terrible upset stomach. Won't be back. This was our 2nd experience like this at this establishment. Very disappointing. Only giving 3 stars because the okra was decent & the staff was kind. read more

Yea it was pretty good I want complain at all . I love the hot honey with lemon pepper

Amazing wings at a good price. The lady at the counter was as friendly as can be. Good job!!!!

Oh my God; worst experience ever! I order the smoked sausage combo and was very disappointed. First of all it is served on a hamburger bun. I was surprised; I asked about a hotdog bun but the cashier stated that is how they make the smoked sausage. If I had of known that beforehand I would not have ordered it. My fries and sandwich were cold. The sausage was three little strips cut very thin. It looked like they took one half of a smoked sausage and cut it three ways. Sad Very disappointed with my meal. They also charge a 4% fee for non-cash purchases. There is a sign tucked in a corner; it should be hung on the window or a wall perhaps. read more

This place has absolutely went DOWNHILL!! On wednesday 4/30/2025 around 7:30 i went to dondon's on bartlett blvd thinking i was going to get some freshly fried wings. Just to wait an hour and get home to HARD BLACK WINGS. The wings that i received weren't fresh at all they tasted like they were fried earlier and dipped back in the fryer and tossed. I ordered a 15 piece honey hot and seasoned wings. I called the restaurant when i saw that my wings were hard and the " granddaddy " said that i could bring them back. I drove all the way to bartlett just for him to yell and tell me that nothings wrong with the wings. It was clear as day that they were OLD. He has a nasty attitude and i hope that he knows being old and mean isn't a good look! even his granddaughters face looked like that she knew that he was wrong. I will never spend my money here! There is a difference between FRIED HARD and OLD CHICKEN. I was nice and understanding until he raised his voice. do business better next time you OLD HAG! ALSO HE told me that i wasn't getting a refund which i never asked he said he could remake them i was fine with that until he got the attitude which made me not even want anything from this establishment EVER again. read more

This restaurant is a -0 double -0 I just spent $30 for some overcooked or re-cooked dried out over sauced wings. The only thing that was edible was the carrots don don is done I'm done. That was my first time and my last time you live and you learn and I am done with don don when I saw the guy that took my order I should've then turn around and went right back out the door. read more

This is a "Bartlett staple"... so I hear. Ordered to go for pick up. Bone in and boneless, crinkle fries, carrots and cucumbers come with combos. Hot is good, honey hot is great! Very saucy!! Also very affordable prices! Call in to order pickup. There is no online ordering with a website...maybe I'm wrong but I don't think they have a website. read more

I had an amazing experience with their special offer. For just $6.80, I got a 3-piece meal (leg, wing, thigh) in my chosen flavor (honey gold), along with fries and a drink. The portion was so generous that I couldn't finish it in one go. If you dine in, you can enjoy unlimited drink refills. Although I didn't eat in due to being on my break and the presence of flies, the staff were very friendly. read more

I placed my order around 730pm, told it would be about 15-20mins. I arrived earlier than the estimated time by 5mins. The gentleman at the register was very pleasant, it wasn't crowded but it's never really crowded when I go. My order was ready in the time I was told. The "chef" I can't remember his name brought my order to the other window and man oh man did it look good. Each time I visit the wings are always made fresh and the staff is always pleasant. Perhaps next time I will venture out and order something other than wings. read more

Don Don's on Bartlett Blvd played in my face 2 days in a row.... Food wasn't up to par yesterday. So I decided to give them another try today, placed my order went inside to pick it up and it wasn't ready. Get my order, you know before we pull off we have to do a little taste test. I took a bite and the chicken was cold my fries were fresh though. I'm like ok I'll just warm it up when I get home but this voice in my head kept saying naw Whitney you paid your money your food should be fresh. I go back in with no attitude. The elder lady says what's wrong I explained to her that my chicken was cold. She stated that it was just made I told her she could touch the chicken and see that it was not fresh. She takes it to the back a few moments go by she comes back and say here you he remade it check it before you go. I open the box it's steaming hot but it's the chicken the same chicken that I had bitten off of. I said ma'am this is the same chicken here is the one I bit off of. I guess Mr Don Don himself older guy comes out the back what's wrong with the chicken it's hot feel it.. I explained to him that it's the same chicken I bit off of. I said if you don't want to remake it you can just give me a refund. He proceeds to say "I'm not giving you nothing you got your chicken you can take that and get out of here I paid too much money for that chicken" as if I didn't just spend my hard earned money. At that moment I was livid I wanted to wring his neck like a chicken instead I left the chicken on the counter and walked out the door. I was embarrassed and felt insulted. You took my money, played in my face and then talked to me crazy and I never not once got out of character. read more

Very friendly service and lovely people but the prices have jumped up a lot. Still gave it a shot but quite a few wings were burnt and too crispy to get much meat out of them. read more

The buffalo chicken dip was the fire. The wings were good size and very flavorful, and the large hamburger was great should have gotten a small too much for one meal. The lady at the register was outstanding. This is the best Don Don's in Memphis. I will continue to order from them as always. read more

Visited for the 1st time Friday. Super friendly. Great food at a great price! I will definitely go back!!

I just walked out of Don Don's because when I went in to place my order the lady didn't acknowledge my presence so after standing there for two minutes, while she was on her phone. Wings are pricey at the moment but I will not beg you to take my money. I have been a faithful customer for years but, after I will never patronize this location again read more

Ordered two flavors and all the wings was in one box drenched in sauce. It was a wings soup. I've never gotten wings served like this before anywhere. Even the celery stick was drenched. Wings was very soggy. Horrible Chef read more

Love the wings. I always get whole wings with hot sauce. Their onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. Great service and they always get my order right. I only do delivery so can't speak to friendliness read more

FRESH HOT DELICIOUS FOOD. Friendly, prompt & accurate service. I will most definitely be back.

good wings kinda expensive compared to other wing spots nearby but you get what you pay for do ive been a customer since middle school lol.

I ordered 30 piece with a family order of fries. The total was roughly $60 and this is what I received. I called and spoke to a man who's posture was one of the owners or possibly a manager. He did not identify himself. I told him about the quality of the food and that I'd like to return it for a full refund. He said he could make it again. I told him the quality of the chicken that you serve is horrible. I can't imagine it getting better. I'd prefer a refund. He said he couldn't process a refund. I said well who can? He said the manager will be here on Monday. I said so you want me to hold this chicken until Monday sir? He hesitated and then replied yes. I made a comment about the bread being in a ziplock bag with the condiments and he said "we've been doing it this way for 20 or 30 years without complaints". At that point I was certain I was speaking with someone of authority. I paid quite a bit for this meal. I had to go out again and find my family something suitable to eat that evening. Don't spend your money here. It's a total rip-off. Their concern is not customer service and quality food and presentation. This store is a money grab. Buyer beware!!!! read more

This place is good food for a good price. I got a burger not expecting anything special and it was seasoned well and the cheese is good. They have good hot wings and good desserts too. The onion rings are battered there, not frozen. My favorite is the fried corn. I wouldn't suggest going there when you are in a hurry and I would definitely recommend calling your order in ahead of time. All in all it is good place and I would recommend giving it a shot. read more

Super spicy wings! Ordering through the phone ahead is super convenient, I've never had to wait extra time from picking it up. The staff is pretty nice. I'd highly recommend. Big fan of their crinkle cut fries! read more

My review has somehow disappeared. We've been here SEVERAL times, both for large groups, and for take-out. The staff are friendly and curteous... with a genuine friendliness that you just don't find nowdays anymore. Last time, I ordered their Honey Hot with Extra Hot. They put a whole pepper on that half of the box so I would know which ones they were. *WHEW* If you go, don't miss out on the Banana Pudding!!!!! My favorite wing place of all time. read more

Don Don's serves the largest "wings" I have encountered. It is really the wing and the part of the chicken that attaches to the wing. HUGE. The only reason I don't give them five stars is that they don't have enough flavors. If I could combine their wings with the flavors offered at some other places, I would be in heaven. One more thing: I've ordered a LOT of wings from these guys, and had great experiences except for one time. It was Superbowl Sunday, and some of the wings I got were beyond room temperature cold. I heated them up and they were still good though (and I can understand a mistake on that busy of a day). read more

I go almost everyday, they know my name and my order now. I always get the Honey Gold Wings, and they honestly have the best wings in Memphis if you ask me, n their seasoned fries are something special, they make there own special seasoning for the fries n I love it. I would highly recommend Don Dons if you want great food and good customer service!! read more

Recently, we were on Covington Pike, where we were waiting for Garrett's car to get an auxiliary music port. I thought it was going to be a quick trip, but it ended up taking hours. Therefore, I decided that we needed food. At first, I only saw fast food chains, but then I saw Don Don's. I actually don't think I have ever eaten at one, even though it's a Memphis thang. It was a random, non meal time. There were two other groups in the restaurant. It's a place where you order at the window. I noticed that they have different specials everyday. The restaurant was small, but kinda cute. The food is great. Garrett ordered the fish plate, which came with two sides. With his catfish, he got fries and okra. The fries were nothing special, but the fish and the okra hit the spot. I didn't want to order the same thing, so I got the hotwings, which came with fries. They were also good. I can't remember the price, but nothing was very expensive. Try it out. Good fish and good wings. read more

The WORST! This place is so back and forth. You MIGHT get good wings and then you get the worst cold, hard as bricks, taste like and look like they had been sitting up for days wings. read more

Yummy wings!!! Love that they are a local establishment, the fries were delicious. Only thing is that the wings were a tad bit salty. But we do eat our foods on the less salty side so it may just be us. But will definitely be revisiting the shop! read more

The food is good and they are 4 worthy but they are the kings and queens of not following through on order times. Yes i understand things happen but if i come 10 times 9 times i will get excuses. I hey say 20 minutes i wait 40 and get there and they need 15 more minutes. Management could be better and maybe the dumb things will stop. It's hard to support a business that's always having issues when you go. read more

This place feels like home. It reminds me of visiting my Nanas house. Not in the decor or anything, but in the staff. Everything's so warm and comfortable. The foods made fresh and actually seasoned. The owners probably one of the nicest people you'll meet. He made a point to speak to us and check on how we were doing. He took a minuet to brag on his boys. My husband all but killed himself finishing off his wings. He didn't want to waste any. If you're wanting some good home cooking stop by. As an added bonus it's a locally owned family operated business. Stop in and you won't regret it. The burgers are good too! read more

The food was ok. Not great. Chicken sandwich with minimal flavor. Requested sauces but included with the order. Not a sprinkle of seasoning on the fries. However, what really left an impression was the abysmal service. Even if the food was five stars (which it wasn't), the service would make me never patronize this establishment again. read more

You have to wait awhile to get the food. Even if you order ahead, because they are always busy inside. Food always tastes great. I just don't like the prepackaged dipping sauce cups. But again, food is great. I ordered wings a few times from there and they always taste excellent. read more
