First of all, I've been to J3 many times at their old location. I looked them up the other night and thought they had closed! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they moved to a new, bigger location. My husband and I visited on a Saturday night. It wasn't super busy, but there was a large party there. We were able to grab a table quickly and our waitress took good care of us. I went with 3lbs of crawfish (Cajun seasoning and byb spice) and the J3 bag which comes with 1lb crab, a lobster tail, some shrimp, corn, sausage and potato (j3 special sauce and byb). Hubby got the J3 bag as well (original J's sauce and mild). Soooooo good. The crawfish were the best part honestly. It was ALL very good, but the crawfish hit different. I guess when you go out service is just that. service. Walked in and was told by the employee to grab our menus and seat ourselves . Didn't know I was my own hostess but we can do this. Git drinks, ordered. Food was good and hot since there were only 4 people in there. Bill comes and I went to add top. 15% had already been added to the bill whether I liked it or not. tips are earned not taken. This is the reason for 3 stars along with beginning walk in. I ordered the oysters and they were terrible! Very fishy tasting. I couldn't eat them. The slaw was unlike anything I've ever seen. Wasn't good. The shrimp were big (tasted ok) and the sweet potato fries were ok. Nothing was worth me trying them again. read more

J3 introduced the Bluff city to crab boils and bags and they still are top tier ! Their speciality is the boiled crawfish bags hands down! They have a 3lb special and the JJ sauce is a favorable mix of all their sauces . The location is spacious and the staff is super friendly. read more

I ordered the crab legs with potatoes and corn. My crab was over cooked, my potatoes were undercooked, and my corn was left out the bag so it lacked season. The butter looked and taste like cooking oil. I ordered medium well steak for my son and he received medium rare. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for good seafood. I have been pescatarian majority of my life and this was the biggest disappointment in seafood I ever experienced. read more

Second time to dine at their new location. The first visit I had the chicken tenders platter, which features six HUGE fried breast tenders that came out fresh and hot. I ate two and took three home. They made delicious chicken biscuits. The second visit I ordered a one pound bag of king crab seasoned Cajun mild. It was very good and plenty to eat. My only issue with this place so far has been how busy they are and the shortness of help. They are pretty busy to only have the few servers they do. read more

I've eat here once a week for two reasons. 1) The food is amazing and it's always consistent. It absolutely never disappoints! 2) I love going in every week and chatting up Wanda. Trying to support local business didn't pay off for us tonight. My wife picked up her order and was "shown" the order (The Dynamic Duo with crab and shrimp) and left. When she arrived home she realized that there was only crab and no shrimp. Calling the store back was a joke. She was told that the owner's (Mr. Hung) policy was that the customer check their order before they leave and that they were not responsible once the order left the restaurant. This "policy" reflects a general lack of trust in accuracy from the start and is not reflective of a business we will most likely return to. My wife was told that she'd get a call back after the "manager" Miranda spoke with the owner about the issue...why? Refund $12 and gain a happy customer vs. causing a hassle and receiving bad reviews such as this...I'm not holding my breath for positive resolution based on the interaction at the store and by phone. read more
