CHARRED BRUSSELS SPROUTS

You can peek the pictures for everything ordered. I'd call this place mostly meh. Fish N Chips weren't special. I do enjoy the duck fa fries. Small tastes were just average. Nothing exactly stood out. It didn't give off a Pub type vibe, unlike Bog and Barley. They just slapped a new title on the Highlander and changed the menu. Wait staff was good, no problems there. Just not a place I think you'll find yourself craving.

Scotch Egg- Soft Boiled Free Range Egg, Newman Farm Pork Sausage, Stout-Whole Grain Mustard Sauce. Yum

Welcome to Collierville, Maeve's! We are so happy to have you here! You will be on our regular rotation now. I can't wait to explore the menu more. We stopped in on the opening week, on the evening of 7-5-25. Not sure what to expect, but way more than pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. They are in a soft opening stage at the moment with a full food menu, but abbreviated booze menu. They will get their liquor license soon enough! Some of the cocktail options looked great. So many things went so well, especially for a brand new place! We were lucky enough when we walked in to get a table right away. No wait at all, I am sure that will change soon. We had a great young server named Mia. Her family was actually sitting in another servers section so it was cute to see her nervously interact with them. You could tell she wanted to make a good impression for not only us, but everyone around, including her family. She did a great job taking care of us. We had a variety of things. The actually arrived in order from my favorite to least. Guinness was great! Nice pours and only slightly sloppy on the second one. LOL. We started with the Scotch Egg. Loved it! The egg was perfect, the sausage was crispy, and that freaking sauce was killer! I could eat three on my own. Oysters Kilpatrick was next. Nice sized oysters, lots of bacon, needed more bang of worshtershire if you are going to say the word. Not sure I even spelled it right. That's just me. Great dish though. Proper Roasted Potatoes are fantastic! They do serve them with camouflaged mayo. Don't get suckered now. C likes them with the banging tartar sauce they have. I dunked them in chicken gravy, which should be an automatic option I will say. Crispy Brussels were also a five star grabber! Nice flavors, great char, loved the reduction with the pecans! Yum. Yum. Eat em up! Really good stuff. Maeve's Stuffed Chicken Cutlet - Bacon, Cheddar, Mashed Potatoes, Chicken Jus It was only $20, I should have known better. Don't sell another one like what I had please. No. No. Mashed potatoes and gravy was good. Broccoli is just green stuff. I expected a Cordon Bleu type thing, not so much. I wanted the Bread Pudding, but got the check without question, instead. Oh well.... There is next time! I will make it happen! You will see me here again and again. It's pretty close to the house. Thank you for investing in the community and the local businesses you support while doing so. Glad you are here. '25 - 66/111

We sat at the bar and over all our visit was pretty good. The French fries were super crisp which I prefer. We got so many fries because we also got the duck fat fries. And the bag fries. I felt the duck fat ones were much better than regular. The bag fries had peppers and chicken in it but it was not much chicken or pepper to be honest. The egg was interesting, tasty, but the mustard was very powerful. And I like mustard!

Delicious food and wonderful service. We loved the space and it was perfect for a date night. I got the fish and chips and my husband got the burger.

Went here for some late night dinner and drinks. Used to come here when it was Highlanders and this was the first time as Maeve's. Had a reuben... was very good ( like the one at Bog and Barley) ... also had the Brussels sprouts . Service was good, the pub vibe is there and we enjoyed it

From start to finish, Izzy, Samara, and their entire team delivered an experience that truly exceeded every expectation. Their professionalism and communication were outstanding throughout the entire planning process. They were proactive, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful--true problem solvers who made us feel completely supported and confident every step of the way. It was clear from the beginning that they genuinely cared about making this a meaningful and memorable evening for our family and the special couple. The private room was absolutely perfect--intimate, beautifully arranged, and very easy to personalize with our own decorations. It created exactly the warm and special atmosphere we had hoped for. The menu was another highlight: a wonderful variety of options with a refined, elevated feel, all at a very reasonable price point. Every guest found something they loved, and the quality of the food was consistently impressive. Most importantly, we do not have a single complaint--only an abundance of praise. Our guests are still talking about how fantastic the evening was. We are so grateful to Izzy, Samara, and the entire Bog & Barley team for helping us create such a joyful and unforgettable celebration.

Irish Irish Irish (Fancy Restaurant)…read more This was the first experience making reservations for an Irish pub, but it was way more than a pub. Think date night. The food was a delight! Recommend the pimento cheese bread sticks for appetizer or any other time. Also, this was the first time I've had a Kilkenny draft which was another highlight. I see now it's rare to find. Smooth and creamy. If I lived nearby, I would be here more often. It's a little on the expensive side, but well worth the price and experience. Just pointing it out to expect to pay, but also pointing out it was worth every cent.

About the Yelp reviews... Whoever, in times past, found fault in the food, service or anything else, must have arrived already a sourpuss. Our experience: Supernice, superfriendly, superefficient, superprofessional service. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Really good food. Fish & Chips: crispy, succulent, non-greasy. Bangers & Mash: Mild, tender sausages zinged with some ale-tangy onions. Shepherd's Pie*: simply delish. All the food arrived hot. But even IF the food had been 3-star instead of 5-star, we'd still have had a grand time because of the people. #Way2Go *I'm asking, not arguing, here, but shouldn't Shepherd's Pie, by definition, be made of lamb? We ate in here last night for the first time. I got take away once a long long time ago, like 5-6…read moreyears or so. It is a divey bar/Irish pub. There was music playing the whole time but not loud at all - loud enough you could hear it but it didn't impede upon your conversations in the slightest. And by the way the music they had playing last night (Tuesday Feb 10 2026) was EXCELLENT!! I felt like I was at a bar from my youth with that soundtrack. We started with 2 appetizers, pub pretzels and the Celtic queso dip. The pretzels came with honey mustard and some of the queso. The Celtic queso has tortillas and what appeared to be house made potato chips. Both were very good! The 2 adults had some beer on tap. A Yeungling and a 201 Hoplar. Kid (well he is 21 but doesn't drink) had a coke. Entrees were a smash burger with fries, a Buffalo chicken sliders with onion rings, and a shepherds pie with mashed potatoes and gravy and okra. Everything was very good! Often fried things are either over or under done and come out not great however whoever was working the fryer was on it because the onion didn't pull out of the rings when you bit it and the okra was still nice inside the breading. Excellent waitress who kept checking on us and nice environment. What's not to like!! Definitely will return.

But I was super impressed with the quality of the food! I expected a dive. And it is. But the food was fabulous!! Also, our waitress was excellent. Kudos to her. The inside is fun. Definite dive bar energy. We went all in. Appetizers, drinks, entrees. I regret nothing. We started with the queso appetizer and the pub pretzels. Both were very tasty. My one and only critique is that I wished the queso appetizer included some veggies like celery or carrots or something other than just chips. My son ordered the smash burger. Husband got the shepherds pie. I got the buffalo sliders. I like my buffalo chicken to be saucy. So I requested extra sauce. The kitchen seemed to misunderstand and instead of extra saucy, they put my sauce on the side and none on the chicken. Our waitress offered to send it back. That was not necessary. So she brought me lots of extra sauce. Incredible. The sauce was excellent. The chicken was excellent!!! Superb quality. Honestly, quite possibly the highest quality piece of chicken I've had on a chicken sandwich. Tender, moist, flavorful, and a large piece of meat. Very very impressed. I got the onion rings, at the suggestion of our waitress. They were fantastic. Washed it all down with a Yuengling. Truly, I can't say enough about this place. I was highly impressed. Most of the other customers appeared to be regulars who were seated at the bar. There were only a few groups seated at traditional tables. It was a Tuesday evening so I'm sure it's much busier on a Friday or Saturday. Oh - and just as we were leaving, they were setting up for karaoke. Apparently Tuesdays are karaoke night. Oh! And! The check was $77. That's with three beers, a Coke, two appetizers, three entrees! Not bad. Not bad at all!!
