We decided to remodel our circa 1980s pool. After receiving 3 bids, we went with Capstone. They had the best prices, ideas and we liked their overall vibe. One of the owners, John oversaw the project every step of the way. We also decided to finish our pavers out at the same time. Capstone worked with the paving company throughout the project. We would definitely recommend Capstone for any and all pool needs. They are professional, down to earth and all of the workers are employed by them. It makes a difference when there's only 1 company to deal with. If I had any complaints about Capstone, it would be about the plumbers. They were given specific directions to move the skimmer from one side to the other of the pool. They literally stood around and tinkered at the original skimmer for 2 hours. Capstone recently finished remodelling my pool. I honestly mean this, they did a great job. The pool looks terrific! The whole Capstone team was friendly and professional while doing the work. The men who did the demolition really worked their butts off in some serious heat. I will say the only complaint I really had was that I didn't know from day to day when they were going to show up. I knew when the pool was going to be drained and when the demo would start. If the demo men showed up on Monday, I would never know when they would return until they showed up. There were days when they would show 2 days in a row and then not return for 3 or 4 days. My thought is that the men were doing demo on other pools, which I understand. It would just be nice to be told which days they were working. As I said, those men work their butts off and were very concerned about making sure I knew when there were issues from the original design and construction. I never felt like they were trying to upsell me on anything. If they had to raise the price, which did happen, the issue was explained completely and the decision was left to me to do the extra work. One final note, Capstone was not the only company I received quotes from. They were, however, about $2,000 less and provided more! I truly would use Capstone again and do recommend the company. read more

My first visit from Capstone was by the Co-Owner Travis. Huge plus in my book when the owner shows up. I was told that the process, to completely remodel our pool, would take about 6 weeks. We went through the Christmas holidays and some consistent rainstorms where work could not be done. It still only delayed the work completion a couple of weeks. It was very clear, throughout the entire process, that these guys are experts. It was like magic watching them. I was told the demo would take one day. I had my doubts. It took 4 hours. I was most impressed with the tile and coping guys. Victor and Miguel are truly artists. I was able to watch the Mini Pebble plastering process too. 10 guys show up and work so well together, it was like poetry in motion. There could not have been a better result. I know what you are thinking. No, I am not a family member or a friend writing a fake report. I am really this satisfied. The most important aspect, to me, during this whole process was the communication with the office staff. I never expected to talk to the owners of the company any time I had a question. That's why they have the office staff. While I was selecting a pool remodeling company and then picking out tile, coping, material for bottom of the pool, design, etc., I worked with Aubrey. She was so good. I was heartbroken when I was told someone else would be my main contact/project manager when the project started. Along comes Shelby, project manager. Wow! Any time I had a concern, question, suggestion, anything, she would get back to me with an answer right away. Even when she was at home sick! I made my final payment yesterday. Today I had a question about a minor issue. Shelby had someone stop TODAY! Great service. Cameron was awesome throughout the entire process too. I also had automation installed. So now I can run everything having to do with my pool from my phone. I was skeptical on the automation. I thought they were over selling it with the things they said the automation can do. Nope. It works like a dream. Example: Now, I can turn my spa on and adjust the temp from anywhere in the world. Please note: I am not a pussy when it comes to having people do work for me. I demand answers to all my questions. When something is promised, believe me, it will come true if I'm paying for it. Capstone gave me everything that I paid for. Start to finish we were really pleased with Capstone! Our pool and spa were remodeled in Feb.- Mar. this year. We chose Capstone from 3 companies quoting the project. We liked how Travis, our estimator, took the time to understand our vision and add a touch of his own that we really like, a spillway. Shelby worked very hard to source materials that were in short supply or backordered due to Covid. She confirmed that two different styles of waterline and spotters would work together and picked the coping color to match the tile and faux stone, because there wasn't a supply nearby that I could view them. It all matched beautifully! And the coping is so nice and smooth to slide in and out of the spa. Demo was next. This was the only point that took a little trust. A Capstone team got the old tile and plaster out in no time at all. But the pool then looked like a disaster zone while we waited for the tile guys to get caught up after a bout of Covid. It was worth the brief wait. I was most impressed with the tile guys, Victor, Miguel and Carlos. They showed an obvious pride and skill in their craft. The little choices of how to transition from waterline tile to spa front and sides worked perfectly. Then the plaster team with foreman, Juan, and truck driver/plaster mixer, Hiram, finished things off. An amazing amount of teamwork mixing, pouring, and smoothing the quartz plaster. The water fill and chemicals and brief wait for curing all went on schedule. I can't begin to say how much we've been enjoying our remodeled spa and pool, it all came together beautifully!!! Following the installation of our pool, it was discovered once our concrete deck had dried from the rains, many chips had been pounded out of our deck right in front of our family room doors. This was where Capstone chiseled out the big block of sludge that they had contained in a plywood formed box with no bottom. Upon noticing it right away once the concrete had dried I notified Capstone, and was told the owner John would come out to see first hand. John did not come out, he sent someone else who was not authorized to come up with a repair solution. Because it is less visible when wet, I offered to have the concrete sealed with an enhancer that would give the deck a wet look, minimizing the damage. Over texts he offered to pay $500 of the $2400 cost. After discussions we agreed at $600, and he said the check was in the mail. After it did not come I texted him again, then the check came for $500, not the $600 agreed upon. Texting again and he said the office gal made the mistake and they would promptly cut a check for the delinquent amount. $100 is not a big deal, and not the point. His workers with the exception of the idiot that chiseled into our concrete, were wonderful. But in my opinion as a previous business owner, you need to finish. John did not. read more

What a disappointment. They do not stand by their work. They have no quality control. Their workmanship was so bad they had to redo our pool a second time. And after a second time the finish still is not completely right. Even worse, they caused our pool to leak and are not taking responsibility and repair the leaks. They claim they did not cause the leaks. Even though I had No leaks prior to them jack hammering my pool finish. So now I am out $3000 to find and fix the leaks and Capstone is excusing away the role they have played in all of this. read more
