Giving four but three was tempting. My wife ordered the eggplant and it was rubbery tasteless gray mass. My son got the ravioli and it came with three pieces. I got a pizza....this was the saving grace! The pizza was out of this world! Though I'm not a fan of rectangular cuts , it didn't effect the taste. On a busy Friday night we waited 15 mins for a table, then another 25 for our food. Decent food but not worth the wait- and shouldn't have taken so long for a burger and panini. Small portion of soggy fries too. Waitress was slow and unapologetic. Really disappointed that there was a 1-person men's restroom. Shouldn't have to wait. 90% of the time the service is exceptional. However when some people work there is no sense of urgency to seat guests. I asked how long until my party of 9 was seated, after waiting for 45 minutes (keep in mind the back room, where we eventually were seated, was completely empty for 15-20 minutes). The host then answered "as long as it takes" and i was given no additional information and was seated at least 15 minutes later. Although the waitress's service was SOMEWHAT redeeming of the hosts terrible attitude toward guests, this experience still left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

My husband and I are regulars at the newly located Cappo's both dine-in and carry out. We have never had a bad experience with their food or service. In fact, their pizza is one of our favorites! They make other dishes well such as their mushroom stuffed pasta. The experience is very casual with TV's and a small bar in the corner. Nothing extravagant but perfect if you want a quick, solid meal. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Went there for dinner around 6:30 and although the food was good, we felt the cost was a little pricey. I mean we found the prices a bit high considering the noise level especially the constantly screaming children. I may never try anything else on their menu because their pizza is the BEST in NW Indiana!!!! Always my first stop when coming back to THE REGION; while I still haven't strayed from the basic ground sausage/cheese pizza, I have no doubt all other toppings are as delicious if that is what you desire. We've gotten excellent service since we started going to Cappo's. There is a bit of a wait on busy Friday nights (especially when there's a home football game). The lake perch was great. The lasagne and chicken parmesan were really good. The prices aren't outrageous. The only issue we have is that when it's really busy it's difficult to carry on a conversation due to the noise. read more

Went there for lunch today. My order was taken rapidly I received my ice tea promptly and sat there for 40 minutes without food being served. Waitress never even came back to check on me or apologize before I ended up leaving. At least they didn't charge me for the ice tea! The restaurant was not more than 60% full so this is not acceptable. read more

Great place for pizza! Budget friendly and delicious! Highly recommend their sausage pizza or cheese pizza. Their sausage is the small ground up kind, not the huge chunk kind, which makes it so much better! The jalapeño poppers are also pretty good. Large pizza will only cost about $15 with tax and it's worth every penny! read more

Never had their food, gave a try with take out. Order a salad and a Italian beef with fries, and a kids cheese ravioli. They said 20-25 minutes, I got there in 26. Was informed that it wasn't ready. By the way Bears-Packers game is on. So I waited about 10 minutes. Got my food went home. Open the food, no salad. I called , typical credit an account at the restaurant instead of getting my money back. So go to eat the beef sandwich, no fires. Call back get the "oh no, I'm sorry there is new people working here." I asked to get my money back for the salad and fries. Told I have to come in, oh well okay. The game is on, I can get it at half time. She tells me she'll make me a new sandwich. Okay I'll be there at halftime. Game gets delayed. Call to see if I could do the next day. I get oh, I already made it. And wouldn't do anything else for me and said sorry. Food wasn't worth all them problems. read more

If you want a great catering experience request this place. We've been eating here for years. Sometimes we eat in, but mostly we've ordered take out ribs. That was why we decided to use them for our small wedding reception (40 people). Not only was the food awesome (ribs & chicken), but, it was delivered and served by the owner, Dolly, who I don't recall ever having met...no difference, though, she pitched in like one of the family even slicing our cake up for us. We loved her, and we love this place. Great food at a good price and more than friendly service. She really worked to help us have a night to remember! read more

A step below mediocre. I had hopes that a "famous for" dish would have a little more effort put into it other than mostly reheating. Mashed potatos- store bought boxed. Cole slaw- store bought. Dinner roll- store bought. Chicken- identified as seasoned and fried here, but tasted flavorless, edible but very bland. Hostess was very friendly. Server barely said two words to me. Speed seemed to be her priority (which is great!), but overall it felt a bit rude. Don't pay for what you can get down the street at Meijer and pay far less. read more

I have been here several times and have always enjoyed my experience, however, it was the first time Donna was our waitress. We felt like a bother at our tiny table and when she didn't know where to place part of our order she dropped the bread on our table and said oh here I don't know where to put this. Our appetizer of fried veggies- the green beans were overcooked and the pickles were so little we couldn't even taste pickle, and my FAVORTIE the baguette with roasted red pepper pesto was excellent as always but she didn't bring the seasoned oils. My husband and I went to Cappos for the first time today. We will definitely be going back! Their Bosco breadsticks are awesome and the pizza we had was very good. The prices are beyond reasonable, very cheap, and the wait staff is attentive, (tho not overly so, which can be annoying!) The restaurant was clean and despite the crappy weather, they were doing a brisk business. They do not have delivery, but they do offer a take and bake pizza, which we will be trying in the future, as well as some of their dinner menu items. We loved Santini's Pizza but since they moved into the old BuffaLouies, the quality has really gone downhill. Cappos will be our new pizza place! read more

Cappos is a place I never went to and then suddenly went to 3 times in a row. I have to say this, the food isn't anything extraordinary or gourmet, but it's very good and you get large portions. The waitstaff is excellent and attentive. The prices are so reasonable, I don't know how they stay in business. We have enjoyed soups, salads, eggplant parma which they do very well. I'm not a sweet sauce person, so I'm not over the moon on the sauce, but the food is tasty. So from reviews, I understand that the next time I go, we will order pizza. read more

My wife and I were in the mood for something different this Sunday so we decided to heed her parents' advice and try Cappo's. Although relatively busy inside, we were seated lighting fast and greeted by a cheery and very attentive server. The atmosphere is very soothing and colorful, and the large fish tank is a nice touch. Cozy wooden booths with lots of belly-room for us big fellas. We ordered the vegetable sampler which was plentiful, tasty, and tongue-searingly hot. Kinda expensive at $12, but you really do get a lot of veggies - plus dipping sauces for each of us to encourage double dipping. For entrees I ordered the whole catfish, and she ordered the ribs. The fish was huge and very good. My wife said the ribs were the tenderest and tastiest she's ever had as she effortlessly pulled the bones out with two fingers like a game of Jenga. We definitely plan on coming back. Maybe we'll try the pizza everyone is talking about. read more
