My boyfriend and I found ourselves in the area (between South Bend and Chicago) and didn't have high expectations for finding something for dinner that wasn't fast food. Boy were we WRONG! And we're so glad we were!!! Pizza Terra is delicious! We split a Margherita pizza and the orecchiette pasta. Both were truly fantastic! And the service couldn't have been better! Everyone was so friendly, humble, and helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves! Oh and we added on some crusty bread and a soda - and the bill was only fifty bucks! Not too shabby :) The music was enjoyable too. John Mayer, Mumford and sons, just good vibes. We may just find ourselves making an annual trip to Indiana for this one. On our drive up to Michigan we didn't want to eat fast food. I found this gem on Yelp and the food looked really good! We called in a pepperoni pizza and a house salad. Took about 15 mins, super fast. The pizza was really good. We enjoyed the crust and the hot honey on the pizza! The house salad was a good balance with the pizza as well. Sadly, no kids meals and my daughter can't eat an entire big pizza to herself. Other than that, the staff were friendly and service was quick. Nice place we have been patronizing. Noticed today that they had Faroe Island Salmon on the specials. NOT GOOD!!! Faroe Islands salmon is farm raised garbage fish AND the so-called inhabitants butcher thousands of dolphins and Pilot whales Every Year. Buy nothing from them!! The fish supplier does have decent options including "organic Irish farmed salmon", so reaching for the bottom shelf is not a recipe for quality!! read more

Very comfortable environment with an upscale downtown Chicago menu. Prices are not Chicago style. I had 2 cosmos and my husband had 2 Blue Moons. The food here is generally excellent. Homemade dough, some homemade pasta noodles, fresh and vibrant veggies. Sometimes I get a special I don't care much for but overall we like it. It's a cute place, lots of fresh herbs and even tomatoes growing out front. We have found the service to be friendly and good, but super slow at times. We stopped in on a Friday evening, the place was packed. We waiting about 15 minutes for a table which was fine. But then we sat there 10-15 minutes before anyone took a drink order. Then she dropped off the drinks and said she'd be "right back" for our order... another 10-15 minutes. We spent almost two hours there. And I totally don't mind a leisurely dinner but there were so many people waiting you would think they'd want to turn tables a little more quickly. I think they just need a couple more servers or something. We enjoyed the big ass mozzarella stick, though I really wanted a nice cheese pull which I didn't get. I had the lasagna which was rich and delicious. My partner had the meatballs and a side salad which he enjoyed. This lovely spot is a gem! We always love the food here. The service is on point and we've tried enough of the food that we always want to come back, and I feel I can give a fair review. There are chefs features that change weekly and we like to try to order from that menu As well. The pizza ingredients are unique and delicious! The only thing I would do differently is making sure the wood fired pizza crust stays crisp in the center from oven to table, like maybe serving it on a grated plate instead of a solid aluminum pizza plate. We've been to Pizza Terra many times, and we were so upset when they temporarily closed. Thankfully, they're back--and honestly, it's just as amazing as ever. Every visit since reopening has been consistently excellent. We've tried a lot of the menu, but our go-to is the Brussels sprouts. I don't even usually like Brussels sprouts, but these are phenomenal. Absolute must-order. The cocktails are always creative and well-balanced, and the desserts are the perfect way to end the meal. We were heartbroken when Pizza Terra closed. Now we are so sad it's back open because it is not nearly the same. For one, they took their best pizza off the menu (prosciutto/arugula). For another, they now pile on the toppings like other NWI pizza places so it's a slop of way too much stuff on what would be good crust. But the crust was also underdone. And their Quattro Formaggi now has blue cheese on it which is all you can taste. Such a downgrade in food quality. On top of all that, the hostess had no idea how to run front of house. Taking a 3 minute phone order mid-conversation with a customer trying to pay while their take out gets cold in their hands is ridiculous. So sad what's become of what WAS the best pizza in NWI. read more

I went to Pizza Terra for lunch today. I had read reviews saying how great this place is. All those reviews were certainly correct. Run....don't walk....to this restaurant for your next meal out. I had the Rigatoni which was suggested by our server. (He'd had it 3 times this week). He was certainly right.....best pasta I've had in a while. The service was top notch. Don't be put off by the meh exterior. The food at Pizza Terra is top notch. My first time here we shared the Crostini with tomato, pesto, and fresh mozzarella followed with Prosciutto fungi pizza. Overall spectacular fresh flavors. The pizza crust perfectly toasted with the perfect amount of chew is delivered from their show stopper brick oven pizza oven.
